Robin Thicke On Justin Timberlake Comparisons: ‘We’re Both White Guys Making Black Music’
Before people got to know the singer Robin Thicke he was known as just Thicke. With a head full of long, curly hair, looking like a Cali surfer boy version of Jesus. I’ve been a fan of him since then. And while I liked N*Sync over The Backstreet Boys, I became a fan of Justin‘s since his first solo album. So I’ve heard my fair share of both of their music. But as of late I’ve heard a lot of comparisons between the singers. And apparently Robin hasn’t been blind to it because he spoke with VH1 about it.
He starts out by saying that if you really sat down and listened to both of their music, you’d realize that they were different. And he’s right. Justin and Robin have different music styles. And they do, as a whole. But I gotta say JT‘s Suit & Tie sounds like a Robin Thicke bonus cut. But he runs through his own reason why he believes they get compared, outside of the fact that they’re both “white guys making Black music.” Check out the clip and see if you agree:
