Abuse & Beyoncé Jealousy? Kelly Rowland’s New Single ‘Dirty Laundry’ Sparks Questions

This morning, Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club debuted Kelly Rowland‘s new single off of her upcoming album Talk A Good Game called Dirty Laundry.  And the song is quickly becoming controversial.  Kelly seems to be baring her soul about being physically abused, depressed and even a little jealous of her ‘sister’ Beyoncé.  Now this can all just be a story she’s created with the song…but…I don’t think so.

Kelly Rowland TAGG album cover

While my sister was on stage killing it like a mother/I was enraged feelin’ it like a mother/
Bird in the cage, you would never know what I was dealing/ we went our separate ways but I was happy she was killing it/
Bittersweet, she was up I  was down/No lie I feel good for her, but what do I do now/
Meanwhile, this n-gga putting his hands on me/ swear y’all don’t know the half of this industry/

Started to call those people on him/I was battered/He hitting the window like it was me, until it shattered/He pulled me out and said ‘Don’t nobody love you but me/Not your momma, not your daddy, and especially not B/He turned me against my sista/I missed ya/Let’s do this dirty laundry, this dirty laundry

People are trying to figure out if this is true, who is Kelly talking about?  She’s had her fair share of boyfriends, some rumored some confirmed.  From Dallas Cowboys’ Roy Williams, to Nelly, to Dwayne Wade, to The Dream.  And who knows what time frame it’s even talking about, because she and Beyoncé have both had a long career in music.  OR this all could be a marketing plan to stir up album sales.  Hmmm…
