Sherri Shepherd Decides To Get A Gun After False Alarm At Home
One of the scariest things a person can experience is a home invasion. Especially while at home. Your home is your safe haven. You prepare for the worst with home alarms but you never really think anything will truly happen to you. On The View yesterday, Sherri Shepherd shared her story about her home invasion scare that happened early that morning. She was at home with her husband Lamar Sally and their son Jeffrey when their home alarm went off at 1 AM, saying there was an intruder in the house. It took about seven minutes for the police to respond but Sherri recalled her helpless feeling that night.
“I’m trying to calm Jeffrey down and all I had was this wicker garbage can and I have nothing, Sal has nothing…we don’t have a bat, nothing. I told Sal, we’re going to get a gun.”
During the rest of the segment, her fellow cohosts offered different responses. Barbara Walters tried to talk her out of the idea and Whoopi Goldberg suggested that she get a bat instead. But Sherri seems pretty made up in her mind. I don’t blame her for how she’s thinking but I wonder if she’ll still feel that same way when the immediate fearful feelings are gone.
