Seems like someone is really serious about developing an acting career. According to Vibe, rapper T.I. has taken another role under his belt by joining the cast of Boss, a Kelsey Grammer-produced show on Starz. You know, Kelsey Grammer produces some GREAT shows. He was executive producer of Girlfriends and The Game (pre-BET, when it was a great show, if you ask me) as well, along with NBC‘s Medium. So this could be a great look for T.I. if he’s really serious about acting.
As it gets underway, Tha Kang will play Trey Rogers, a former gangbanger with designs on a career in City Hall. He is the cousin that Darius (played by singer-songwriter Rotimi) turns to when struggling with his love for Emma (Hannah Ware), Mayor Tom Kane’s daughter, and he is the conduit between a local Alderman and the gang that is powerful enough to function as a grassroots organization in the projects.
So this isn’t just a walk-on role. Sounds like it’ll be a pivotal role in the story. Check out a short clip, when you continue…
