I really wanted to ignore these Adidas shoes today, but people keep asking me have I seen a picture of these new sneakers dubbed “shackle sneakers“. The answer is, “YES,” and that’s all I have. *SIGHS*
Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?
Hey if you want chains around “YOUR” ankles…go ahead and smoke “bath salts”, too. At this point, I give up trying to explain why people should just KNOW better. Check out Adidas excuse (justification) for these shoes when you continue…
The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott’s outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery. Jeremy Scott is renowned as a designer whose style is quirky and lighthearted and his previous shoe designs for Adidas Originals have, for example, included panda heads and Mickey Mouse. Any suggestion that this is linked to slavery is untruthful.
Well there’s your answer you overly sensitive people. Just because only criminals and slaves, or women locked in basements on SVU re-runs wear shackles around their feet, doesn’t mean there is a link (pun intended if you got it...) to slavery or racism or crime. Even if there is no link to slavery, if you wear these shoes, you are definitely a slave to something.
