The Death Of Two Legends: Chuck Brown & Donna Summer
I literally have no words right now. Two legendary performers have died within 24 hours of each other. Yesterday, “Godfather of Go Go” Chuck Brown passed away, after being hospitalized for pneumonia. He was 75 years old. Then, moments ago, TMZ informed the masses that Disco queen Donna Summer passed away last night, after a battle with cancer. She was only 63 years old.
We’ve lost some legendary people in 2012 alone. At the sake of revealing my age, it feels like little bits of my childhood are making their way up to heaven, and it’s sad. These are artists that you may not know by name, but you know their music. That’s the stuff legends are made of. Rest in peace and prayers go out to their families during this difficult time.
