Chris Brown Is Most Honest When He Raps: “How I Feel” (New Music)

How I Feel is probably the most candid Chris Brown song that we’ve heard. Although I think he could dig even deeper, I think it also expresses the frustrations that Chris Brown feels growing up in the limelight since the age of 15. It’s hard to be a better person when people keep reminding you of your shortcomings, and many people want to see him fail because of his crime. At the same time, you know you’re finally an adult when you take control of your life and realize you are responsible for your actions no matter what happened in your past. That’s a lesson that takes many of us a very long time to learn. That lesson is harder to learn when you’re in an industry surrounded by people that tell you how great you are all the time.

Anyway, I like this song…I just wish he could dig even deeper. I think that’s what people are really waiting for– the honesty behind what happened from his perspective, even if it’s ugly. The hard unfiltered truth, something Eminem has mastered!

I try to show respect but you don’t give it | I guess you don’t understand when | It might take a life time to take it back |and It might take a life time to know the facts yeah

All alone sleeping in my bedroom | As what..mama is gonna be dead soon | ‘Cause i’m beta up, but he don’t realize | She important to this family like a effin’ air..
