Singer/Songwriter R. Kelly took to Twitter today to calm the fears of his fans, who’s been awaiting the release of his memoir. R’uh (as I like to call him) first announced his plans to publish a memoir back in December of 2010 through publisher SmileyBooks, the publishing company founded by Radio Host Tavis Smiley.
The memoir will cover Ruh’s life, including the passing of his mother, the inspiration behind his megahits like I Believe I Can Fly and You Are Not Alone (written for Michael Jackson). He is also set to talk about his legal problems, including the child pornography charges, which were dismissed in 2008.
I personally am NOT a fan of this man but I know there’s going to be a lot of interest in hearing what he has to say about that. His original projected date of publishing was set for early 2011. But if he started working on this book in 2010, they couldn’t use this time to think up a better title? Check out the wack title and cover photo, after the jump…
Soulacoaster?? Um. *Kevin Hart voice* Pineapples! I don’t want it! I’m not feeling that title at all! Dah well. Maybe the read will be better.
