Give Us Free: T.I. Will Not Be Charged On Drug Case; Matt Barnes Will Not Be Charged With Domestic Violence

Clifford “T.I” Harris, and Matt Barnes of the Basketball Wives and the LA Lakers, just received some good news, no charges will be filed respectively on pending cases. TI will not be charged on drug possession due to legal reasons. Officers searched Tiny & T.I.’s vehicle because they smelled marijuana, however no weed was found. Therefore, cops didn’t have a legal reason to search the vehicle, even if it lead to them finding other drugs. See what happens when you have a real lawyer; court appointed lawyers just make you plead guilty.

As TMZ first reported, T.I. and his wife were busted back on September 1 for possession of a controlled substance.

According to the D.A.’s Office, they are not going forward with charges because, in essence, he’s already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation. However, law enforcement sources tell TMZ, there were significant legal issues over probable cause which led to T.I.’s arrest.

Cops claimed they smelled marijuana but no pot was ever booked into evidence.  And, we’re told …T.I. was pulled out of his $250,000 Maybach immediately after he made the illegal U-turn and prior to any registration check. {Source}

In other news, Matt Barnes will not be charged with assaulting girlfriend Gloria Govan because there isn’t enough evidence. In his mug shot below, you can clearly see that “some” woman assaulted Barnes that day, but she wasn’t charged. Details when you continue reading….

The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office has determined there is not enough evidence to prosecute Barnes for assaulting “Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan at their home on September 8.

As we previously reported, cops responded to the couple’s home after a disconnected 911 call and noticed that both Barnes and Govan had visible injuries. Cops later determined the two had been in a physical confrontation and eventually arrested Barnes on suspicion of felony domestic violence.

Govan has previously stated that the allegations are false … adding that Barnes has never abused her or her family. The D.A. has stated, “The decision was made following additional investigation, and was based on the insufficiency of the evidence.” {Source}
