Mariah Carey Could Pay Up To A $1 Million For Michael Jackson’s Sofa
Mariah Carey wants Michael Jackson’s living room set, and has asked her interior designer Kenneth Bordewick to make a bid on the sofa and chairs. The living room set was purchased by Michael Jackson shortly before he died to furnish his London mansion where he planned on residing during the This Is It Tour. TMZ reports:
According to the auction house, the living room set — which MJ bought for $200,000 — could fetch $1 million. The open bid — $150,000. The proceeds — minus commissions — will go to Jackson’s estate.
Reminds me of my Grandma’s living room, and she certainly didn’t pay $200,000 for it…I hope this furniture inspires her new album.
