Get It Girl! Dominican Beauty Queen Becomes Deputy Mayor At Age 23
You’ve got the winning ticket if you have a combination of beauty and brains. The 23-year old Ada Aimee de la Cruz is the 2009 Miss Universe runner-up. She was just voted as deputy mayor on the winning ticket of Mayor Francisco Fernandez in the May 16th elections in the Santo Domingo Norte region of the Dominican Republic.
They beat the oppostion, the Revolution Dominican Party. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, de la Cruz said, “I’m here to shatter the myth that beauty queens are airheads. I want to help youth so they do not find themselves without anything to do because of a lack of plans and opportunities.”
That’s what I’m talking about. She’s accomplished all of this at the age of 23. And she even says presidency may be in the future. I won’t argue with her. She’s 6ft tall, a beauty queen and a politician. Enough said.
