Alicia Keys Confirms Pregnancy and Engagement to Swizz Beatz!
I guess Alicia Keys was catching on that no one was being fooled by her attempt to cover her baby bump. According to E! Online and other soucres, Alicia Keys’ rep confirms that Keys and her fiancee, Swizz Beatz, are expecting their first child together and plan to be married later on this year. These two have been in the media spotlight for months now (and it’s not just because of their music). A lot of controversy has surrounded Keys and Swizz Beatz because of their alleged one and half year affair while Beatz was still married to R & B singer, Mashonda. The picture below is Keys hiding her baby bump last night at a charity gala in London.

Mashonda has openly expressed her feelings about the affair, she said back in Septemeber 2009, “My concern with [Alicia Keys] is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation.” Mashonda claims that she attepted to contact Keys for over two years, but heard nothing in response. Mashonda and Swizz Beatz have a son together.
Mashonda finally said, “If [it is] so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, [it’s] more of a reason for us to get along, because I’m not going anywhere. [There’s] a child to be raised.”
I wonder what Mashonda will have to say about this. It’s always a blessing when a child comes into the world. But you know what they say, “How you get your man is how you lose him.” What do you think? Is it time for Mashonda to move on?
