Despite Mashonda recently opening up to Sister 2 Sister and throwing a wrench in the “blissful” union of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, Keys and Beatz seem to be brushing it off their shoulders. They’re both all smiles and love from the look of these pictures (opposite of what they were looking like the other day.)

I have gotten so many e-mails about Part 2 of Mashonda’s interview with Vibe. Well, it’s finally here! Mashonda talks about those infamous tweets that set it off, and confirms that Swizz Beatz admitted to an affair with Alicia Keys. Well, that settles it for me, it also explains why the other side isn’t talking.
So far, I don’t see a reason not to believe Mashonda. I am sure there is more to the story, but she sounds credible to me. I’m glad she spoke her piece.
You’ve mentioned in the past that Swizz repeatedly denied having an affair with Alicia. Did he ever fully come out and admit to it?
My husband admitted to having his affair on Mothers Day 2008, six months after I found out. I didn’t sleep for a whole year. I had to take pills to sleep because I’d wake up in the middle of the night crying. I couldn’t even look at my son some days because I didn’t have the strength and I never wanted him to feel my bad energy. It was a battle. They are just now going public, but this has been going on for a very long time. I refused to really break it down for people to understand because there was no way I could go around not making [Swizz and Alicia] look extra crazy and I didn’t want to put that out there for my son. I guess Swizz Beatz should be a really happy man these days. Beatz and Alica Keys are engaged and expecting their first child and he apparently made peace with his ex-wife, Mashonda. He told the New York Daily News while on vacation in St. Tropez, “I’m super-excited. People are calling me from Dubai and Japan. We haven’t set a wedding date, but we will. We’re just letting everything flow.”
As far as the “peace” that’s been reported, Mashonda’s lawyer, Bernard Clair, confirmed that she received Beatz’ child support check for $334,000. I suppose that would bring most people some peace. The picture below is of Keys at the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball at St. John’s in London several days ago.
I guess Alicia Keys was catching on that no one was being fooled by her attempt to cover her baby bump. According to E! Online and other soucres, Alicia Keys’ rep confirms that Keys and her fiancee, Swizz Beatz, are expecting their first child together and plan to be married later on this year. These two have been in the media spotlight for months now (and it’s not just because of their music). A lot of controversy has surrounded Keys and Swizz Beatz because of their alleged one and half year affair while Beatz was still married to R & B singer, Mashonda. The picture below is Keys hiding her baby bump last night at a charity gala in London.

Swizz Beatz reportedly bought Alicia Keys a 7.5 carat engagement ring according to Mashonda Dean’s lawyer, Bernard Clair. In a statement release to the press defending Mashonda’s decision to sue Swizz Beatz for missing court ordered payments, Bernard Clair confirms that Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are engaged, and have purchased a $14.5 million penthouse together.
Dean’s lawyer, Bernard Clair, called the nonpayment “particularly troubling” because of reports that Beatz bought a seven-carat engagement ring for Keys earlier this year and that they’re moving into a $14.5 million duplex penthouse on Crosby Street.
Mashonda Dean filed papers against Swizz Beatz in the Manhattan Supreme Court, stating that even though the ink is barely dry on the divorce papers, Swizz Beatz is already behind $334,000 in missed payments. Swizz Beatz says he’s paid Mashonda $500,000 more than the court required upfront, and that he was ready to make the other payments, but Mashonda started selling all of his stuff out of their crib. (I swear y’all I did not make this up).
