Celebrities are human beings, too!!! I know some of you are going to call Kanye West crazy once you hear about his day, and for the most part I will not disagree with you, but man I don’t know if my husband would have done anything differently. Maybe not assault the kid, but I can definitely see Mister G, having a talk with the boy…with tightly clenched fists. So here’s what happened:
Kanye West is in the hot seat, again, for allegedly attacking an 18 year old racist. Kim Kardashian found herself in an aggressive paparazzi swarm earlier today. A young man opened a door and assisted Kim away from the mean paps. However while assisting her, he also used the n-word to describe the paparazzi. Kim didn’t take to kindly to his words, and asked him not to use the n-word. Well after that…the opposite happened, and the young man turned his aggression on to Kimmy Cakes, calling her a “n–ger lover” and a ummm “sl-t”. I’m not really sure how the message got back to Kanye West but according to TMZ:
71st Annual Golden Globes Awards has come and gone, and the night’s biggest winner (Best Picture – Drama) was 12 Years’ A Slave. Moët & Chandon was on hand to help celebs celebrate their Golden Globes nominations and victories. As apart of the Moët & Chandon tradition stars raise their glasses to toast to their favorite charity:
Kicking off the evening right away celebrities flocked to the Moët & Chandon bar to celebrate in their philanthropic initiative ‘Toast For a Cause.’ Now in its fifth year, the annual program honors Hollywood and celebrates Moët’s history as the “Champagne of cinema.” Golden Globe nominees were invited to raise a toast with Moët & Chandon Imperial minis in support of their favorite charities. For each toast raised, Moët & Chandon donates $1,000 to the chosen charity in the nominees’ names.
This year’s red carpet darlings included Paula Patton, Lupita Nyong’o, Mike Tyson, Gabby Sidibe, Jesse Williams, and Rashida Jones. Check out a few red carpet photos of your favorite celebrities sipping bubbly at the 71st Annual Golden Globes Awards. Congrats to 12 Years a Slave!
Happy birthday to everyone celebrating along with these celebrities today:
Screenwriter Supreme, Shonda Rhimes, turns 44 today!
I still can’t believe we’re dealing with this in 2014. Ugh! However social media allows people to say the meanest things for no apparent reason except to be hateful. Tamera Mowry Housley, a very positive person in this awful industry and a Christian role model if I may add, is brought to tears during an interview for Where Are They Now on OWN because people constantly want to tweet hateful comments to her about her marriage. I guess since they’re twins, Tia Mowry gets her share of it, too.
Check out this open and honest video of Tia & Tamera discussing interracial marriage and the social media backlash. I know it’s hard to ignore the negative comments, but just know the large majority of people support these twins and their union.
I was so looking forward to the Golden Globes just so I could see what Kerry Washington was going to wear, and to see if she would try to hide her bump. Nope! You can’t hide that. Congrats Mrs Kerry Asomugha!
More when you continue…*screams at all this cuteness*
VICE, a global youth media group known for their documentaries and hit HBO show of the same name, has a new topic its exploring, Buttloads of Pain. VICE is investigating illegal butt injections– underground, and the insane need for women to pump poison into their buttocks to save money in order to enhance their figures. Sadly, more and more people, yes men, too, are seeking unnatural ways to alter their figures on the black market leading to disfigurement and even death. Word of mouth is how this illegal practice is spread. Now, we’re seeing more and more medical cases like the one pictured below.
All I’ve ever wanted to know was why and how did this even start to be a thing, and VICE answers all of my questions with the history of silicone injections.
…it was the transgender community that really pioneered the backroom butt-injection scene in the 1980s and 90s. For a male transitioning to a female at that time, it was a ridiculous notion to think that insurance would foot the bill for procedures that made their outside look the way they felt on the inside. The black market was the go-to place for these types of augmentations because it was considerably cheaper.
Check out a preview of the documentary, and try not to judge, it’s a lot more to the history of illegal injections that goes way back to World War II. I don’t know what would possess someone to inject fix-a-flat into their butt, but apparently there are more people out there who would inject poison than one could imagine:
If there’s ever been a rocky young love story of late, it’s been the story of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina. She and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Nick Gordon have apparently gotten married. Their relationship sparked lots of controversy because Nick Gordon was raised with Bobbi Kristina, as a brother. But I guess they tossed it all to the wind and decided love conquered all.
Bobbi Kristina posted this photo on Twitter yesterday, with the caption “#HappilyMarried• SO#Inlove• if you didn’t get it the first time that is..” The tweet has since been deleted but the photo remains. And since there hasn’t been any official word, who knows. They could have just purchased the rings and not said the vows. Or they really could have jumped the broom, to the probable horror of their family. I guess time will reveal all…
