Conspiracy theorist around the globe would have loved to have had this opportunity.  And according to Will Smith, his son Jaden is one of them.  During a recent interview with BBC Radio 1‘s Chris Moyles, Will shared a story about his son Jaden wanting to ask President Barack Obama about the existence of extraterrestrial life.

When Jaden asked his father about asking the president about aliens, Will shot him down.  He told him that it’s an embarrassing question and told him he wasn’t allowed to ask that. LOL  Well, once they got into the “situation room”, Jaden threw caution to the wind and started to ask. But President Obama, sensing what was coming, stopped him before he could ask and said “The aliens, right?” My president is psychic!!! Rumors hit the internet yesterday that Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry are leaving BET’s The Game. Today we know those rumors are true. Tia Mowry confirms on twitter that she will not be returning to The Game.

Honestly this is good news for me because Derwin (pooch Hall) and Melanie (Tia Mowry) are the only reasons I watch the show, and their story line has been pretty awful.Melanie’s character can’t win for nothing and her character has become so sad to watch. Hopefully their story will end with some good luck because I am tired of the Debbie Downer plot…In the meantime Tia is promoting her new book Oh! Welpity welp welp welp.  I’ve always thought the relationship between singer Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley‘s son Rohan Marley was disfunctional.  There were whispers about Rohan still being married to his first wife at the time he and Lauryn were a couple. Lauryn had 5 kids with him and still Rohan didn’t make any moves to marry her or anything. Then Lauryn had a sixth child and Rohan denied that it was his child. MESSY!! And now look-a-here: he’s engaged to someone else.

Rohan is engaged to 28 year old model Isabeli Fontana, according to Brazilian magazine Terra.  Apparently Rohan met Isabeli in October, after denying that Lauryn‘s sixth child was his.  And I guess sparks flew.  Isabeli is a mother of two kids and this will be her third marriage. No date has been set but apparently some of the wedding plans are decided: 

“Rohan told me that we must return to their origins so that the marriage will last forever,” said the model of 28 years, rising to the altar for the third time. The model explained that they have not yet set a date for the ceremony, which could happen this year and will be reserved for friends and family.

I have been trying not to watch Basketball Wives, but after my twitter timeline lit up with comments about Tami’s behavior, I just had to have a sneak a peek. I ended up watching the whole episode like a crack-head. The show, however, didn’t feel right at all. My soul was hurting while watching Tami Roman bully Kesha over some comments Kesha made weeks ago that were not that serious and taken out of context. Last night after the show aired Tami issued a very weak public apology via twitter, claiming that she is not a bully. Perhaps, she doesn’t know what the word “bully” means:

Bully: a person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people.

Bully: a blustering browbeating person; especially: one habitually cruel to others who are weaker

Bully: bullying is intentional aggressive behavior. It can take the form of physical or verbal harassment and involves an imbalance of power (someone who is physically bigger or more aggressive)

By every definition of the word, Tami is indeed a bully, and what she did to Kesha was WRONG! I felt like a bully just watching Basketball Wives because there was nothing I could do to help Kesha, who clearly wasn’t trying to fight or engage in the drama. Tami looked like a grown man trying to fight a little kid. Anyway, after the show was over, Tami issued an apology via twitter. This show was filmed weeks ago, and Tami is just now issuing a public apology for stealing Kesha’s purse and bullying her. Why now, Tami? Anyway, check out the apology when you continue…

I don’t apologize for it 2b accepted — that is ultimately the other person’s right to accept or deny it. My only responsibility is to acknowledge a mistake was made and own up to it. I apologize to my family, my REAL friends, my business colleagues, and my Project Girl ladies 4my recent behavior on BBW. I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. Maybe a twitter apology is good enough for Kesha, but a statement released by a publicist to all media would have been better (that would be proper media etiquette). It probably would have helped if Tami reached out to Kesha to apologize publicly before Kesha contacted Tami, first.Similar Posts:

As a self professed super fan of Michael Jackson, I admit to having moments when I just instantly miss him and even tear up. Yup.  But I really can not imagine what his mother Katherine Jackson goes through everyday.  Especially as the guardian of his children, Paris, Prince Michael and ‘Blanket‘.  But tonight, Katherine will sit down with CNN’s Piers Morgan to discuss Michael and her life without him, including her feelings on Dr Conrad Murray.

Katherine has said that she’s never met Dr Murray nor, to her knowledge, has he ever reached out to meet her.  And she’s also expressed her feelings on his sentence, noting that she doesn’t think four years is long enough.  You can tell this will be a really emotional interview; she appears sad and teary eyed throughout the entire clip.  I don’t even know if I’ll be able to watch without shedding a tear or two. On May 13th, Mother’s Day, Jada Pinkett-Smith will release Red Table Talks. Red Table Talks is an intimate look at family, love, and relationships. In this first installment of this series, Jada Pinkett- Smith, daughter Willow Smith, and Jada’s mother, Andrienne Banefield Jones, sit down for an intimate conversation about their relationships. It’s been a minute since I’ve heard anything about Michael Clarke Duncan but I guess this is how he’s been biding his time!  After giving up meat and going vegetarian, Michael is now a spokesperson for PETA.  Since going vegetarian, Michael has shed 35 pounds…and looks pretty hulkalicious!

Woo! I know his girlfriend reality star and newly annointed pastor Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth is one happy lady. Michael‘s new lifestyle consists of eating protein packed foods like vegetables, nuts and tofu instead of meat.  He looks great and it’s good to see him making a healthy change! While I generally think a lot of the PETA people go overboard, you can’t deny the value in a healthy lifestyle change.  Check out his interview, below:

I started crying. I cried for 10 minutes really, really hard in my pillow. It was aggressive. I don’t cry loads. If I cry it’s because I’m very angry and I can’t do anything about it, because I’ve run into a dead end.

In the documentary Road to Talk That Talk, Rihanna takes us behind the scenes of the making of Talk That Talk album which she started while still on the LOUD tour.  The more she gives of herself the more I like her! It was the best s**t ever, it was some rock star s**t. This is the craziest schedule I’ve ever been on in my entire life.

One morning I woke up and started crying so hard. I finally just got to my bed from the IV [drip] and I was just like, ‘Good I can actually get to sleep tonight’, because we stayed up [all night' and I finished [the album] at 5pm the day before.

So now, I’m like, ‘One good night of rest.’ I get in bed, and it must have been two hours in before my phone started going off. I was so frustrated I kept ignoring the phone.  Every time it would go off, but every time I would ignore it. But it would be another burden on my shoulders, ’cause I know it has to get done.

I know [I was] sick, but I’m the only person who can get it done, so it was so frustrating, so I was angry. I was so angry, I was so overwhelmed that I was sick. It felt crazy. {Source}

If I said it before, I’ll say it again: Fridays always seems to bring out the crazies. Perhaps it’s something in the universe.  Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to discriminate against celebrities.  Tennis star Serena Williams received some kind of crazy vibe and has decided to pursue a rap career.

Yeah, you read that right.  No, I’m not kidding.  The good people at TMZ got their hands on a clip of her song. No word if she’s gonna change her name to something like C. Rena or some other rapper-ish name but…I don’t know. She does have a good voice for rapping and her flow is nice but….umm…someone needs to help her with lyrics. “I cook the track up like a frozen pizza/Beats so crazy it might blow yours speakers/I ain’t never been a loser/And I’m always on top, roofer”

Kesha is a sweet person to forgive Tami Roman and patch things up after being bullied on national TV.  Tami takes one shot of some alcohol, and before the liquor reaches Tami’s stomach,  Tami turns into the Hulk,  and tears into Kesha over some remarks that happened weeks prior to their trip to Tahiti. But proving to be the better person, Kesha tells Sister 2 Sister Magazine that she and Tami are now on good terms. Even though Tami steals Kesha’s purse and intimidates her to the point of tears…

After Tami’s health scare, whatever drama was going on between us was out the window. “I sent her an email telling her I hoped for a speedy recovery and was praying for her, and that’s the last I heard of it.

That’s nice of Kesha to reach out to Tami, but honestly, I would feel better about the situation if Tami was the bigger person, and apologized first. Royce said it best in her blog post when she calls the Tami V Kesha drama,  “A D*mn Shame!”

Tami seemed as though she was trying to find something to get upset about and she chose a cough. From the way the girls were seated in the car, to laughing and making faces behind Kesha‘s back if you take a screen capture from that scene and mine from the van in Spain, it’s almost identical.

I’m not sure what happened to Tami, but this isn’t the woman I’ve gotten to know. To see these women gang up on someone who has done nothing to them is embarrassing. I say ganging up because NO ONE did anything to stop it. If you don’t say anything you then become part of the problem. Who cares if Kesha was scared to get in the ocean with sharks and stingrays, I don’t believe I saw any of your asses in a swimsuit jumping in the water either. How are you going to call someone else scary when at least they put on the attire instead of saying “Oh Hell NO” in confessionals?????  {Read the rest}

These subliminal tweets and lyrics, they just don’t stop. I don’t know how many times I need to say this, but unless someone “@s” you or calls out your name, please don’t assume the song is about you. Rihanna unfollows Chris Brown after learning about some new lyrics written by Breezy on a freestyle to Kanye West’s Way Too Cold (Formely Thera-Flu):

Don’t eff with my old bishes like a bad fur/Every industry ninjas done had her/Trick or treat like a pumpkin just to smash her/Bishes breaking codes, but I’m the password.

Rihanna is the first person to come to everyone’s mind, but honestly Draya Michelle was the first to come to my mind #NOSHADE. Notice in the lyrics Breezy says “bishes” (plural) meaning more than one, so this song isn’t about Rihanna, or should I say JUST Rihanna, it’s about ALL the women that didn’t matter. Well Rihanna reacts to the song by unfollowing Chris Brown on twitter, and Chris Brown responds with this tweet.

Well if the lyrics weren’t about Rihanna then, they probably are now. After all that has happened, these two still have trouble communicating, even in subliminal tweets. Poor Chris Brown, he can’t WIN for nothing…

As we predicted, Jermaine Paul wins NBC’s The Voice last night. The former Alicia Keys background singer, proved that he deserves to be in the spotlight and America agreed. He was our favorite from day one!

It’s also amazing how Blake Shelton, one of country music’s biggest stars and who isn’t usually up for much of the strong R&B talent, was able to mentor and coach, Jermaine Paul to the top, but he did an amazing job throughout the entire competition.

The two-night season finale was packed with the most powerful, soulful and heavy-hitting performances that I’ve seen from a reality TV show competition in recent memory. I’m looking forward to hearing more from Jermaine Paul. Not only does he have a voice that R&B needs today, but he is already developed and experienced from touring with Alicia Keys and now doing live TV. He’s got a great look and can probably experiment with acting and modeling, but for now I am sure he is ready to hit the studio and work on an album through the recording contract he has won through the show.

Movies such as Think Like A Man get a lot of media buzz from blogs or alternative media. I like movies such as Think Like A Man, but I also like independent films that take a risk to bring us stories not often seen. Without a big name producer like Tyler Perry or Oprah Winfrey, films like Precious would just go unnoticed. Pariah is one of those films which we featured on MrsGrapevine.com that didn’t receive the press it deserved. In order to have more diversity in black films, we have to support these independent films. With that said, I want to present this new film to you, Beasts of the Southern Wild, featuring new comer, Quvenzhané Wallis. Beasts of the Southern Wild  is already generating an Oscar buzz and is set to hit theaters June 27th. Not to mention, it was one of the crowd favorites at the Sundance Film Festival and will be featured at Cannes.

Faced with her father’s fading health and environmental changes that release an army of prehistoric creatures called aurochs, six-year-old Hushpuppy leaves her Delta-community home in search of her mother. {via Black Thespian}

It’s hard to explain what the movie is about, so you will need to watch the trailer. The story takes place in the bayou around the time of a hurricane of biblical proportions kind of like Katrina. The film features a little heroine named Hushpuppy, who finds life in almost everything she sees, even in the midst of tragedy. It’s a message of hope through the eyes of a kid who stills sees the magic in life, even while the beasts of her life follow her around. I love this trailer *whispers to Oprah*!

Here’s the side of the NFL life that we don’t get to see too often.  Wide Receiver Terrell Owens pretty much gave us a candid look into his child support woes on the Dr. Phil show.  Terrell sat down with three of the four mothers of his children to talk about raising their children and the child support issues.

While I don’t know the exact details of the case, I DO know that he’s been said to have been paying huge amounts of child support at the height of his career.  Something in the six figure a month range. YIKES! He recently had a judgement to lower his payments to something that’s more fitting for his new career in the Indoor Football League but from the clip, it seems like there’s still some financial issues between him and the mothers. Imagine what a show would be like if it was to match up bachelors and bachelorettes, but had people vying for their attention like the reality singing show The Voice.  Well then, you’d have a new prime time dating show called The Choice.   According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox network will debut this new spin on a dating show during the summer months.  And if you ever wanted to date a celebrity, this might be the closest thing you may get:

In each episode, four celebrities sit in spinning chairs and listen to non-famous prospective dates pitch themselves. Over the course of three rounds, the contestant pool is paired down until each celebrity has chosen their date for the evening

The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala, featuring signature objects by Schiaparelli (1890–1973) from the late 20s to the early 50s, and Prada from the late 80s to the present. Celebs who love style hit the gala in their finest evening wear, but only one celebrity steals the show in a see-through dress that exposes her bottom, and it’s not Rihanna.  Beyonce certainly knows how to keep us talking. Not only does she show up late to the red carpet call, but she is accompanied by “THE” Andre Leon Talley.
