VIDEO: The Making Of Beyoncé At Revel

So how many of you got tickets to one of the most coveted shows of the year? This weekend marks the return of Beyoncé to the stage, after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy. Revel Resorts in Atlantic City, New Jersey is hosting Bey for shows on May 26th to May 28th. I happen to know of a few people who are down there preparing now. Beyoncé has made a making of video to mark this special occassion.

The first thing I noticed off the bat was that her voice sounds a little bit deeper to me. I experienced the same thing in the aftermath of my pregnancy as well, so I commend her for being able to hit those notes with the same vocal range and intensity as before. This video also revels just how much she throws herself into the planning of the shows, from lighting to angles to choreography to sets. Check out the video below:

Will Smith SLAPPED a reporter!!! I must admit when I first caught wind that Will Smith slapped a reporter in Moscow during the premiere of Men In Black 3, my first thought was Will Smith who? So naturally I had to see it to believe it because Will Smith does not slap people. Sure enough the Men In Black star did in fact hit a reporter in the face, and if you ask me the reporter deserved it. Check it out for yourself:

So why would Will Smith slap a reporter? Because the man in the picture above tried to kiss Will Smith in the mouth by force. The whole exchange was caught on tape. I’m sorry, but am I the only one that thinks it’s foul for a stranger to try to kiss you in the mouth during a sneak attack? Uuggh where has his mouth been! Check out the video when you continue…

On May 13th, Mother’s Day, Jada Pinkett-Smith will release Red Table Talks. Red Table Talks is an intimate look at family, love, and relationships. In this first installment of this series, Jada Pinkett- Smith, daughter Willow Smith, and Jada’s mother, Andrienne Banefield Jones, sit down for an intimate conversation about their relationships. Three generation openly talk about hurt and pain as well as healing and love. In the trailer for the short film, Adrienne Banefield-Jones, admits to Willow that she was not a good mother to Jada.

I had mommy [Jada] when I was very young. And then, I got addicted to drugs after mommy was born. And so it was a very difficult time for us growing up with her. You know Jada did not have the kind of life that you have now. I was not a good mother…in my eyes…But I just feel like during those time, the bad times out-weighed the good. And that’s how I see it in my mind, because I was on drugs until your mom was like 17 or 18 years old. That’s a long time…

Rihanna admits to suffering an emotional breakdown back in Sweden last year when she was treated for exhaustion. The singer says she became so exhausted due to over-work that she just couldn’t stop crying, but she couldn’t stop working, either.

I started crying. I cried for 10 minutes really, really hard in my pillow. It was aggressive. I don’t cry loads. If I cry it’s because I’m very angry and I can’t do anything about it, because I’ve run into a dead end.

In the documentary Road to Talk That Talk, Rihanna takes us behind the scenes of the making of Talk That Talk album which she started while still on the LOUD tour. It was the best s**t ever, it was some rock star s**t. This is the craziest schedule I’ve ever been on in my entire life.

One morning I woke up and started crying so hard. I finally just got to my bed from the IV [drip] and I was just like, ‘Good I can actually get to sleep tonight’, because we stayed up [all night' and I finished [the album] at 5pm the day before.

So now, I’m like, ‘One good night of rest.’ I get in bed, and it must have been two hours in before my phone started going off. I was so frustrated I kept ignoring the phone. Every time it would go off, but every time I would ignore it. But it would be another burden on my shoulders, ’cause I know it has to get done.

I know [I was] sick, but I’m the only person who can get it done, so it was so frustrating, so I was angry. I was so angry, I was so overwhelmed that I was sick. It felt crazy. {Source}

Investigation Begins Into Tyler Perry Studios’ Fire

Late last night, firefighters in southwest Atlanta were called to Tyler Perry Studios after reports of a fire. About 100 firefighters responded to handle the blaze. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, no injuries were reported in the four alarm fire, which caused a building to collapse but no structural damage occurred.

Dorothy Ware, a resident of the Asbury Harris Epworth Towers senior housing apartments next door, said she first learned of the fire from a guard who came around to alert residents.

The guard told anyone who had cars parked along the fence next to the studios to move their vehicles so fire engines could get in, Ware said. She went outside and described the scene.

“It was all in flames,” she said. “The building started popping. Whatever the fire was hitting, was blowing up. There were plenty of sparks coming over here where we are.”

The flames shot up as high as the trees, reportedly, which are about six feet in height. Check out the new clip, when you continue…

President Obama Has A Big Stick, “I PROMISE You!”

Vice President Joe Biden has the natural gift of saying the darndest things. Yesterday, during a speech at NYU, the VEEP-OTUS out did himself again when confirming to the audience that President Obama has what it takes to be Commander in Chief…a big stick. I wish it sounds better in context, but it doesn’t. I am not entirely sure if Veep Biden was speaking metaphorically either, nor was the audience. Check out the video below:

Now is the time to heed the timeless advice of President Roosevelt, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” End of quote. I promise you, The President has a big stick. I promise you.

I want to believe that Joe Biden was saying that President Obama has the cajones to handle the tough issues, but that last “I promise you”, just really sounds like Biden is saying President Obama’s stick is bigger than yours. I don’t know what to make of that…LMBO! TGIF!!!

Brandy Opens Up About Fatal 2006 Car Crash

There’s a popular celebrity magazine out there that has a little segment called something like “They’re Just Like Us!”, in which they highlight every day things celebrities are caught doing. I really hate that segment because it makes it seem like celebrities aren’t human. But I guess sometimes people need to be reminded of that because it’s easy to put them on another level. VH1 aired their Behind The Music special featuring Brandy last night, which went into a lot of areas Brandy has never really talked about before. Specifically, she went into the 2006 fatal car crash that she was involved in, which resulted in the death of Awatif Aboudihaj.

I would hear what people would say, and still to this day they know that that’s a button. They know that they can call me a murderer or call me someone that killed someone. They know that is a button for me. A murderer is someone who premeditates it. I didn’t wake up that day to be involved in a fatal car crash.

I know on Twitter it seems as if there’s always a Brandy joke regarding the car crash at least once a week but this really put it into perspective for me. It’s a very emotional and revealing segment of the special and quite honestly, it makes her human to me. Not that she wasn’t before but I watched this and thought of what it would be like if I were in her shoes. It’s a hard pill to swallow. Check the video below:

Listen. President Barack Obama is probably one of the most charismatic presidents EVER, in my opinion. The POTUS stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to slow jam the news with him and The Roots. The focus is on the keeping the rates down on college loans.

I think this is freaking brilliant. With this legislature, President Obama is talking to a younger crowd who will appreciate this move. I, for one, back him on it just by principle alone but he slow jammed the reasons he wants to make this work? Sir, you have my vote! Check out the clip, when you continue…

Well, this is no surprise. And I honestly think it’s a matter of time before she makes her way back. But in an interview with Capital FM, Nicki admitted that she misses her Barbz. And she looked sort of emotional about it too. Almost on the verge of tearing up.

While Nicki outlines her reasons for leaving Twitter as being needing some time to herself, which was spurned on by the release of music leaks, I have to wonder….as long as Twitter has been up, music has been leaking. So I’m PRETTY sure it’s happened before with other music she’s made. I don’t have any specific proof of that, but it’s just a strong hunch. So…I’m leaning towards “This is a strategic move” rather than she just decided to leave. But I’ll leave that up to you. Watch the clip after the jump and check out what she had to say…

I can’t say that I’ve seen much choreography from Rihanna, especially in music videos. I think the last that I really saw was in Pon De Replay. But Rihanna takes a break in a busy schedule to work on some dance moves for her upcoming video for her next single Where Have You Been.

Coming straight to you with no makeup and censor free, we get a look at the superstar’s choreography work and dedication to perfecting her craft. Choreographer Hi Hat even tells a story about RiRi eating dinner the night before, as she was standing and practicing her dance moves. Not bad! Pauly plays N’Sync‘s I Want You Back upon Gabby‘s entrance and she proceeds to bust out with the running man. OK! I see you with the moves! But that’s not the only thing that she does that shocks the audience… She then does a little flirting by letting Pauly D know that she’s “grenade who’s DTF”. AHEM! The Kardashians (Kinda) Perform ‘Lady Marmalade’

I guess today is just Celebrities Wildin’ Out day! But actually…that COULD be considered EVERYday…but I digress. Yesterday, Kim Kardashian shared a little bit of her family’s humorous and fun side by posting a video on her site she made with Khloe, Kourtney, Kendrall and Kylie, under the direction of Kris Jenner.

While the Kardashian/Jenner/Odom family was taking pictures for their Christmas card last year, they used the down time between shots to film a lip-snyching video to the Moulin Rouge version of Lady Marmalade, with Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim and Mya. I have to say, I was a little scared at first, because the opening walk down the stairs reminded me of that infamous faceplant that Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child did on 106 & Park…but they make it! I think this video series will open up some eyes as to the seriousness of kidney health and why it’s important that we take our health seriously. Nick Cannon posted the first video on his website yesterday in a series called NCredible Health Hustle. In this series, Nick takes on a journey through his recent kidney health troubles and give us an in-depth look at his daily trials and triumphs.

I was really surprised immediately at the way he looked. His face appears to be swollen with edema, which is swelling under the skin due to an accumulation of fluid. He and his doctor even talk about this in the clip and there’s a shot of him putting on his clothes while wearing compression tights, to help with the swelling. New Video: Jada Pinkett-Smith & Wicked Evolution ‘Burn’

This past Valentine’s Day, Jada Pinkett-Smith released a song with her band Wicked Evolution called Burn, which was a song dedicated to her hubby Will Smith. Burn is a ballad filled with tons of emotion and senuality, with lyrics like “Can you feel my heartbeat next to yours?/Just melt inside me to the core/Stay here within me, never leave me/I want to burn.”

While in Costa Rica with her husband, Jada has been learning how to speak Spanish and records a message before the video plays, completely delivered in Spanish. The translation says this:

This song that I am about to sing is very important to me because it’s the beginning of a new love for my husband. After 17 yrs, I never thought I could love him even more. This is for him.

I don’t know about y’all but this sounds like a woman who’s head over heels for her husband. And I’m not even mad. Check out the video, after the jump…

Katy Perry Covers Kanye & Jay-Z’s ‘N****s In Paris’

Singer Katy Perry is defintely one of those artists who dabbles a bit in being “extra” without being overt like *fill in your own artist(s)* but this is kind of…interesting…and brave. During a performance for the BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge series, Katy covered the Kanye/Jay-Z hit, N****s In Paris.

Like I said, it’s a brave and interesting choice of a song for her to cover. Number one, it’s a completely different genre than her native Pop music but she adjusts it fairly well to match her voice and flow. Number two (and probably where the controversy would lie) she covers a song that uses a racially sensitive word. While she doesn’t say it, substituting “ninja” instead, some could be offended just knowing what the actual word is. Then again, Katy can’t be blamed for the word, since it’s not her song.
