New Video: Jay-Z & Kanye West – N****s In Paris

How real is a video that has an epilepsy warning? Jay-Z and Kanye West just released a video for their song N****s In Paris and the epilepsy warning is definitely needed. The video combines footage from their concert performance of the song, audience shots, lion roars, panther snares and a whole heap of flashing lights.

I personally love it. It revived my love for this song. Something about gets me moving. It’s provocative! It gets the people going! And personally, I think you MUST watch it in full screen, HD mode and cranked up as loud as you can in order to get the full effect. Experience ‘Paris’ when you continue!

With just one listen, the chorus is stuck in my head. *singing give me all your love* Nicki Minaj and MIA get more face time in the video than verses on the song. I guess it’s a rite of passage to be in a Madonna video, no matter the size of the role. Truth be told, most people in the industry would kill just to be in the background. BTW, I like this video…

Friday Funnies: When Butt Injections Go Wrong

Friday is here and with it your regular dose of something to make you laugh your way through the weekend. In a day and age where a large posterior seems to be the ticket to greatness, there’s no wonder that butt injection surgeries have increased. And while surgery of any kind is a pricey and risky event, folks have jumped on the bandwagon, offering cheaper alternatives, which as usually a greater health risk. At this point, I’ll introduce you to one Oneal Ron Morris of Miami, Florida. Oneal is a man, who identifies himself as a woman, that performed butt injections surgeries on herself AND others. According to the police, victims have been coming forward, saying that Oneal used Fix-A-Flat, cement and superglue in the injections.

Oneal and her accomplice Corey Eubanks decided to clear things up by appearing on the Spanish-language talk show Cristina. Apparently they wanted to profess their innocence to using anything but mineral oils in the surgeries before an audience, which included the mother of one of their alleged victims. Seal Opens Up About Separation On The Tavis Smiley Show

I don’t know about you, but I personally was saddened to hear that Seal and his wife Heidi Klum were separating after seven years of marriage. Aside from destructive marriages, separation and divorce is never an easy decision to make or an easy time in anyone’s life. So when Seal appeared on Tavis Smiley to discuss his new album Soul 2, Tavis asked Seal how he was dealing with separation during a time when he’s promoting an album that has a romantic feeling to it.

To answer your question, in short…we have a tremendous amount of love and respect for each other. And so…and also, of course, our children are our first priority and I think we’ve pretty much said everything we needed to say in the statement that we released. How does one stay focused? Just because you decide to separate, I don’t think you automatically stop loving each other…

I have to say, that they’ve said they are separating and not getting a divorce as of yet, so maybe there’s a chance that they can work through it. Also, I’d like to point out that Seal is STILL wearing his wedding ring, so who knows? Check out what else he had to say, after the jump…

In the new commercial for Weight Watchers, Jennifer Hudson sings…to her former self. With the help of graphics and past footage from American Idol, Weight Watchers shows people how far she’s come since 2004, having dropped 80 pounds.

While it’s great Jennifer is proud of her weight loss, as she should be, this commercial comes off a little…weird. Maybe it’s the strange way her head looks Photoshopped onto her body…or the horrid makeup and attire they gave her on AI. Or maybe it’s just weird, to be singing to yourself like that. I dunno. Last night on The X-Factor finale, Melanie Amaro performed I Believe I Can Fly. And halfway through, who comes out to join her? None other than R. Kelly. Kellz was admitted to a hospital back in July in Chicago, to have an absess removed from his tonsils. He cancelled a number of live shows as a part of the healing process, but finally was ready to perform.

After the performance, Ruh took to Twitter to talk about what it meant for him to be up on stage again:

To have been thru what I have been thru – having throat surgery and not only unable to sing, but not even able to talk – and to end up on the stage of X Factor tonight shows the true power of God.

I no R. Kelly fan but I can’t deny the man sings I Believe I Can Fly with every ounce of power with him. And it’s no wonder. It’s an incredible song. I almost became a fan. Again. Check out the live performance, including the comments from Paula, Simon, Nicole and L.A. Reid, after the jump…

It seems as though you either love or marvel at Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Frequenting pointing out that his wins are supplied via the Good Lord above, he’s spouted a trend called “Tebowing”. If you don’t know what that is, click here. I’ll admit. There may or may not be photographic evidence of me Tebowing somewhere…*side eye* But I digress. Tim Tebow has become the latest celeb to undergo the Autotune treatment. Remember the Bed Intruder Remix with Antoine Dodson? Don’t act like that didn’t go hard for a minute or three!

Tim gets praised amidst a funky beat and clips from ESPN First Take‘s Skip Bayless and quick cameos from Lil Wayne, Nelly and a number of others. There’s even a quick shot of Hulk Hogan in Tebow gear. This song jams harder than a lot of songs on the radio right now. I’m kind of mad that I’ve listened to this at least 5 times now AND have danced a jig along with it…but what can I say. I’m a sucker for a catchy beat! Check it out, when you continue…

Frankie Lons, Keyshia Cole’s mom, wants you to know that she is the one and only Frankie, and do not confuse her with Nancy Jones, the mother of Jim Jones. When it comes to reality TV moms, Frankie is the originator, and don’t you get it twisted. Her words not mine. During a recent interview spotted at Hip Hip News with Futuristic Blogger, Frankie becomes really defensive when asked about Mama Jones. However, Frankie does admit that she’s open to doing a reality show with Mama Jones, and Lil Scrappy’s mother. Can you imagine a reality show with these three hip-hop moms? Oh, I would definitely watch the first episode. LMBO!

We can do celebrity moms on the road. Feel me. Lil Scrappy mother, she’s out of control. We got the celebrity moms that are as crazy as a bessie bug, shot out to me. Celebrity moms on the road that will work.

But I ain’t going to do no one on one with no Jim Jones’ mama, don’t even think about. The money ain’t an issue, I don’t care how much money you offer me.

Paris Jackson is growing up to be a beautiful young woman that I’m sure Michael Jackson is proud of. Paris will have her first televised solo interview with Ellen DeGeneres on tomorrow‘s Ellen show. Paris sits with Ellen and talks about her life with her father and her life now, discussing everything from the best thing her father ever told her to what it was like to always be seen in public with masks.

“Yeah, I’m like this is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?…But I kind of realized the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too.”

Paris will also be making her first acting debut in the movie Lundun’s Bridge and The Three Keys, based on a young adult fantasy novel. Check out a clip from the interview, after the jump…

Talk show host and former radio personality and habitual linestepper Wendy Williams got the attention of Queen Oprah, to everyone’s surprise. Can you imagine Oprah sitting on the couch, with a bowl of Special K, watching Wendy’s show? I know I can’t. Anyway, a few weeks ago Wendy Williams reported that Oprah’s BFF Gayle King was leaving the O Network to go to CBS. Gayle will be co-hosting The Early Show with Charlie Rose.

Wendy immediately wondered what this meant for the friendship between Oprah and Gayle:

“I’m sad that she’s leaving Oprah,” Williams bemoaned. She also criticized King for her burgeoning friendship with 50 Cent, who has dissed Winfrey before. She wondered, “Gayle, is it the beginning of the end with you and Oprah? Please say it ain’t so. You guys have been friends since you wore the same underwear during that snowstorm in Baltimore.”

She kinda just snowballed all of it into a big conspiracy! LOL But yesterday, Wendy read a handwritten letter from Oprah which addressed her speculations. I love that. In a world where texting and emails are commonplace, it’s nice to see someone take time to address another in writing. So was Wendy correct in her fears? Check out the video, after the jump…

Tamar Braxton finally gets her chance to shine at the 2011 Soul Train Music Awards in Atlanta, as part of a tribute to the legendary Gladys Knight. Not sure how a person who doesn’t have an album out or any hits, gets to honor the great Gladys Knight, but that’s neither here nor there. The most important thing is that Tamar gets to sing onstage SOLO, and has finally graduated from from back-up singer status. So how did well did she do? This tweet from Soul Bounce last night pretty much sums up my thoughts on Tamar’s performance, too.

To be honest Tamar’s voice is on point in the video, but the baby doll dress with the dance moves were just too much…Check out the performance when you continue and let m know your thoughts on Tamar’s performance.

Last night the American Music Awards came to us live on ABC. And I gotta say, looking at some of these winners I have to wonder what the exact process is for picking a winner. Some of these are random as hell, but I congratulate the winners anyway!

Nicki Minaj walked away with 2 AMAs, for Favorite Rap Artist and Favorite Album for Pink Friday.

Jennifer Lopez won for Latin Music: Favorite Artist and looks freaking fabulous. I hope I’m this fine at 41 years of age too!

Beyonce Keeps The Party Going With ‘Live At Roseland’

I am certain that Beyonce and Jay-Z had their pregnancy planned at least a year in advance. Why? Because Beyonce is an amazing business woman and understands that fans would be very eager for her to give birth to little Child of Destiny (I’ll be here all night, ladies and gentlemen!) and get back to making music. In a brilliant move, she’s putting out a live concert DVD called Live At Roseland.

Bey performed a series of 4 intimate concerts in New York and has put them together with additional footage. This will keep her fans satisfied for at least a year or so. Enough time to give birth and have some mommy time. Three clips from the DVD have been released thus far, giving us a look into the concert and personal moments. The lastest clip, I Was Here, (which is one of the three songs I truly love on the wackass 4 album) includes clips of her life and career up until now, including a quick glimpse at her faboulous wedding dress. It’s stunning. And I’m amazed wedding photos haven’t been released but I can dig it! Check out the clip, after the jump…

It’s amazing. Before finding out about the pregnancy, she didn’t look pregnant to me at all. Now? I wonder how we ALLLLL totally missed it! Catch the other videos plus get pre-order information at Beyonce Online.
