Friday! Always a relief to see this day and personally, I try to get in as many laughs and good times as I can. Just to make up for working hard all week. Speaking of, have any of your seen the new show Key & Peele on Comedy Central? Comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are the latest to bring us a sketch comedy show, kind of taking up where The Chappelle Show left off. Sidenote: I DO miss that show. Dave, come back!

This comedic duo, formerly of Mad TV, have pretty much hit the Obama inpersonation on the head. So much so that they decided to do a sketch that we ALL can appreciate: The Obama Translator sketch. Yes, they give us their take on what President Obama actually says versus what he actually means. *Young Jeezy voice* And I love it! First time I saw it I swear I cried with laughter. Well look at what the throwback cat dragged in! Actress and talk show host Ricki Lake is coming back with a new talk show this year! She recently launched a new Facebook group for the brand new The Ricki Lake Show. Ricki looks fabolous though. Ever since her recent stint on Season 13 of Dancing With The Stars, she’s been keeping her figure in tip top shape.

Man, The Ricki Lake Show was one of those near perfect talk shows on daytime TV back in the day. Just enough touch of hot mess to not be fully ignorant and just enough touch of classiness to actually make a difference. In case you missed it, The View had another heated debate discussing abortions. During the discussion, Sherri Shepherd nearly had a break-down as she revealed that she had “many” abortions:

I’m speaking as a girl who had a lot of abortions and I swear to God, if they had shown me a picture of the fetus… I would have put my child in a lot of situations that wouldn’t have been good because I didn’t have the mental capacity to deal with having a child.

Wow! She said a lot of abortions. I don’t know what to say about that, but I DO appreciate her honesty because not many women would give such a testimony publicly, let alone to the whole nation. If you want to know why Sherri Shepherd was in such a bad place in her life, she explains the reasoning behind the abortions:

Before I converted to Christianity, I was a Jehovah’s Witness. In 1993, my mother was dying from diabetic complications. My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I was in a very physically abusive relationship. I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count. I had very low self-esteem and just wanted to die. I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn’t even make a difference. But God showed me that it would make a difference.

The ladies also brought up a good point. Many of the people that are fighting for pro-life laws are the very women (Conservatives) that turn their backs on poor women when they choose life– by fighting legislation that provides welfare, food stamps, childcare, and early education. For so many poor and abused women, plus women addicted to drugs, there are very few options when they choose to have children. If we are to be a pro-life country, we have to do better, and have more compassion for women in “circumstances”. We can’t be pro-life and judgmental and selfish, too. I agree with President Obama let’s start by reducing the need for abortion first, and educate women on sexual health and reproduction.Similar Posts:

Shaunie O’Neal has nothing on Mona Scott-Young , the producer of Love & Hip-Hop. Last night during the “reunion” special, I watched Mona Scott-Young, basically pimp a cast of women for ratings. Mona Scott-Young and her team were unable to have a regular reunion special to clear the air. Mona claimed the reason behind the decision to not have a reunion special was because the women were still angry and ready to fight, but honestly I think most of the women had a problem with Mona and Yandy, and how they set-up fights to boost ratings.

In almost every interview, each cast member said Mona intentionally took things out of context to edit the narrative for ratings, and against their best wishes put the cast-members in hostile environment to provoke a fight. The only person that didn’t have a problem with the editing was Yandy. O_0 How convenient!!! Considering Yandy was at the center of every fight, and the only cast member that was buddy-buddy with Mona on screen.

One scene that almost broke my heart was Erica Mena’s break-down during her exit interview with Mona. Obviously if you go on a show like Love & Hip-Hop you’re on your last leg as far as career options, and you just need a boost to your career. Well Erica Mena broke down in tears because she felt like she wasn’t accurately portrayed. Although you can’t make a woman do anything she doesn’t want to do on camera, you can manipulate the story line so that her character is one dimensional. All I am saying is that Mona, if she cared about these women in any manner, could have made these stories more balanced and featured the good and the bad, and not just the evil. Mona intentionally left out the good stories in the lives of these women as she accidentally revealed while interviewing Somaya, and focused mostly on the things that were negative. Mona, also had the nerve to tell Erica Mena that she could learn a lesson from this experience, and become a better person. Now, go make my money!!!

The only thing that scene above proved to me is that this mess was a set-up, and that the producers could have prevented the fight. It also proved that Erica’s role was to start drama. I can’t believe Mona said off camera, I thought you were going to introduce her first, not just jump in, let’s reset. How could Mona think that if the show wasn’t scripted ?

From abusive men to abusive women. At least Shaunie tries to balance the lives of the women on her show. But hey, I hope Mona gets nominated for the Pimp of the Year award at the 2012 Players’ Ball. Sadly, Love & Hip-Hop Hotlanta is coming soon!

Last night new comer Lindsey Pavao, auditioned for NBC’s The Voice with an interesting choice of music. Pavao was half-way through her audition, before I realized she was singing Trey Songz’ Say Aah.

Talk about taking a song and making it your own, this doesn’t sound anything like the original. Check out the remake of Say Aah and let me know what you think…

Last week Evelyn’s “assistant”, Nia Crooks who also goes by the name of Penny Olay, filed a police report claiming Jennifer Williams had stolen her keys. Well Penny Olay/Nia Crooks and Jennifer Williams use to be best friends, although the show is trying to pretend like Penny Olay once worked for Jennifer Williams as an “assistant”. Well I did a little digging and found this tweet from back in of March of 2011, in which Jennifer Williams admits to having a set of keys to Penny’s house:

Penny Olay/Nia Crooks may be petty and shady for filing the police report, but at least we know she’s not lying. If this is scripted they covered their tracks as far back as March 2011. Now all we want to know is what happened?? What made Penny Olay turn on Jennifer Williams and jump on team Evelyn Lozada…

This is Jennifer and her BFF Penny Olay/Nia Crooks partying together. Just in September the two were buddy-buddy.

And fast forward a few months later, Penny and Evelyn have kicked Jennifer out of the circle. Things have become so bad, Evelyn and Penny Olay were caught attacking Jennifer Williams on camera.

Scripted or not, this whole mess just looks shady. No amount of money could cause me to act a fool on television, and turn on my so called best friends for ratings. Remember when Evelyn and Jennifer were inseparable. My how things change in less than a year.

Jennifer Williams Has Keys To Nia Crooks’ House! What’s That About!

If you haven’t heard, Nia Crooks is the assistant of Evelyn Lozada, who once worked for Jennifer Williams. She also goes by the name, Penny Olay, and she and Jennifer were also besties. Two weeks ago, during a taping of Basketball Wives Season 4, Nia Crooks and Jennifer Williams got into a huge argument, that ended with Nia slapping Jennifer. Jennifer filed a police report claiming assault, and today Nia is retaliating by filing a police report claiming that Jennifer Williams has stolen the keys to Nia’s house (by refusing to return them). I know it’s complicated but try to keep up.

According to Nia, she loaned Jennifer Williams keys to her house and is upset that Jennifer hasn’t returned them. Why would anyone give their “boss” a set of keys to their house? Sounds like scripted television to me, just like Gloria meeting Draya in “acting class”. Why would anyone file a police report instead of changing their locks ? Police reports now equal free publicity on TMZ. Why would anyone work for Evelyn as an “assistant”? That’s like working for Naomi Campbell or Foxy Brown.

Anyway, here is a pic of Nia Crooks aka Penny Olay and Evelyn Lozada acting BFF-like. JUST a weeks ago, Nia was doing the same pose with her other BFF Jennifer Williams. A few months prior to all of this, Nia Penny Cooks Olay, Jennifer Williams, and Evelyn Lozada were all hanging out together as one big group of BFFs.

These chicks have no loyalty or respect for the word friend. Two months ago Nia and Jennifer Williams were so close, Nia was giving Jennifer keys to her house. Now, Nia is working for Evelyn and hates Jennifer so much, that she is slapping her in the face while cameras are rolling for Basketball Wives Season 4. What is really going on behind the scenes? When did Nia Crook become a “Basketball Wife”? So many questions, but I bet you I will find some answers. Stay tuned!!!

The assistant — Nia Crooks (right) — filed a theft report against Jennifer Monday with the Hallandale Police Department, claiming JW is refusing to return the house keys Nia loaned her two months ago … back when they were still friends.

According to sources, Jennifer has been making thinly-veiled threats to Nia since the racetrack scuffle — things like “watch your back” — and Nia doesn’t feel comfortable with Jennifer having a key to her house.

We’re told Nia has repeatedly asked Jennifer to return the keys to no avail — so she’s turning to law enforcement for help, completely baffled by Jennifer’s behavior. {Jennifer Williams Accused of Stealing House Keys}

Jennifer Williams is just adding fuel to the wrath of Evelyn by giving her something to talk about with this magazine cover. I don’t know who to blame for this cover photo, but it doesn’t do Jennifer Williams any justice, and she’s such an attractive woman. J’adore Magazine really could have chosen a better picture for the cover…unless, they wanted people to take shots. I don’t understand the concept or get the theme. Is Jennifer Williams traveling all around the world trying to find her identity? There is simply too much going on between the color contacts, the Grecian-style dress, the headpiece covering her left eye making it look wonky, and the eastern meditation pose. I adore Jennifer Williams, mais je n’adore pas la photo là.

‘Bad Girls’ Fight Dirty: The Case Of The Microwaved Weave

I admittedly don’t know the back story to this entire brawl. But I know you have to be really pissed at someone to microwave their weave. Amy of The Bad Girls Club apparently pushed someone into that level of pissivity because she was greated with a warmed, Power Level 10, microwaved lump of hair as she came into the kitchen of the Bad Girl‘s house. While no one was claiming it to be their handiwork or saying if they knew who did, fellow Bad Girl Demitra committed the ultimate sin when someone is ready to kill over their weave: she laughed.

And that point, Amy seems to take that as a sign of her guilt and proceeds to attack. I guess the show wouldn’t be called The Bad Girls Club if they didn’t back up their actions, right? And if I had to give a winner to this fight……man, Amy cold clocked Demitra with a right hook a few times. Winner!

Last night, I saw the worst fight in the history of reality TV on Real Housewives of Atlanta. It was definitely interesting because Marlo and Sheree were giving some low blows, but then it just became stupid. O_o The two women started arguing in gibberish (non-words with crazy high pitch sounds like a turkey gobble) and making faces while mimicking each other, I must have hit the floor laughing hysterically. At this point, Marlo and Sheree had nothing to argue about, but neither one of them wanted to backed down. Thus, ten seconds of them making faces. SMH!

LOL, NeNe face is priceless! Sheree calls Marlo out for dating an 80-year old white sugar daddy. Marlo offers Sheree a loan so that she can afford a bed instead of sleeping on air mattresses. It all just goes downhill from there… watch last night’s fight when you continue.

Wu-sa! I am the only one that watch this mess last night.

Evelyn Lozada To Jennifer Williams: “I Gave You A Story Line”

Evelyn Lozada is mad that Jennifer Williams keeps on doing interviews, which I find hilarious since TMZ seems to know everything about Evelyn before anyone else. Evilyn has officially been in a fight with every main cast member since the show has aired, with the exception of Shaunie (Something tells me that fight is coming soon, too. Watch!). This season after fighting with Suzie, Royce, Tami, Gloria and Meeka, Evelyn is now fighting BFF Jennifer Williams. Every time Evelyn gets mad she threatens to release dirt on Jennifer Williams, and in a new interview with Necole Bitchie, Evelyn implies that Jennifer has been getting around long before her divorce. I don’t care how real Evelyn claims to be, she has just done some really foul things on the show to her “friends” and this quote right here takes the cake:

That’s why I said on Twitter. “If you want to talk, then we can talk.” There’s this perception to the world that you’re this and that and you’re just coming out of a divorce–like, come on. I know what it is. And a lot of people in New York know what it is, Jennifer.

In the interviews I’ve seen Jennifer has only discussed things that are public, and has never threatened to release information on Evelyn. Secondly, Evelyn gives a long emotional interview over the beef with Jennifer Williams after claiming they were never really good friends in the first place. I can’t wait to see what’s so bad that would make Evelyn so mad. Last time they build up a fight between Evelyn and Jennifer, it turned out to be so trivial…and over Chad of all people. Anyway towards the end of the interview, which sounded more like a rant, Evelyn claims Jennifer is only relevant to the show because of Evelyn:

No, she’s trying to remain relevant because I gave her a story line! Let’s just keep it real. I’m just being all the way honest. Every time I try to come down a little bit–you know how time heals everything–then, boom! Jennifer does another interview. It’s like why are you always talking about me? Saturday, there was a filming, and it was chaos…The fact that you leave that, go back home and do an interview is crazy to me. I don’t get it. That b*tch done lost her mind.

Anyway, you can read the rest of the interview here, but I’m just saying, it seems to me Evelyn is the one always talking, really talking, and getting mad over some trivial high school BS. You would think at 43 years old, she would be focus on freezing her eggs than wasting her time arguing on every social media and blog you can name. Evelyn would fight Jesus if it meant a better contract and a spin-off.

It was a HUGE night for the cast of “The Help” as cast members swept the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The cast walked away with the most highly coveted award of the night, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Don Cheadle presented Octavia Spencer with her first SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Minny Jackson. She dedicated her award “to the downtrodden, the undeserved, the unprivileged and overtaxed, whether emotionally, psychically or financially.”

In what some might consider an upset, Viola Davis was voted best among her peers for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. She looked stunning in her Marchesa gown as she accepted her award. She shared that she wanted to be an actor since the age of 8 and that in this industry there comes a lot of rejection, but it was the work of Meryl Streep that inspired her while she was in college. Ironically, it was Streep-who stated in her SAG Award acceptance speech three years prior for the movie Doubt, in which she co-starred with Viola-“[to] the gigantically gifted Viola Davis — my God, somebody give her a movie!”

Of course, we can’t talk awards show without red carpet fashion.

Jennifer Williams decides to do an interview, and reveal the reasons why Jennifer and Evelyn are no longer friends. Jennifer thinks Evelyn is upset because Jennifer has been hanging out with her new friends NeNe Leakes and Mashonda. So basically Jennifer thinks Evelyn is jealous of her new friendships. That didn’t sit well with Evilyn, and so Evelyn Lozada decides to attack Jennifer Williams via twitter. Why Evilyn would go on twitter to attack Jennifer instead of picking up the phone to call is a mystery to me? But, if I were Jennifer Williams, I wouldn’t have anything else to do with Evilyn because she hits below the belt and takes things too far even for the sake of publicity. Evilyn tweets are so over the top that even Chad has to step in and tell Evilyn to shut it down. Star Jones Squashes Beef And Returns To ‘The View’ In February

Do you all remember when Star Jones left The View originally? It was a big ole mess. Star announced her plans to leave the show during a live broadcast, catching Barbara Walters off guard. So Barbara pulled a boss move and didn’t allow her back on the show the next day. Well, it seems as if Star has let go of past issues and is ready to sit down with the ladies of The View again. According to the Associated Press, Star will be appearing on the February 22nd show to discuss heart disease in women, as a part of an awareness campaign.

It’s always a good look when people can let go of differences to come together for the greater good. I mean, Barbara DID out Star in her autobiography by saying that Star asked her co-hosts to lie about the weight loss surgery (which had to be the worst lie in America because everyone pretty much suspected that anyway). Part of the reason they probably are moved to bury the beef isthey both had heart surgery in 2010, within two months of each other. This is a positive outcome to the situation, I think. I don’t know; maybe this may even open a door for Star to go back, if the opportunity ever presented itself.

I’m no fan of Fox News. They’ve been racially offensive for some time now. However, this made me laugh yet shake my head. Talk show host and political commentator Bill O’Reilly decided to show how down he is with Black America by playing a race card. (I guess Bill forgot about his past beef with Ludacris and Akon… *side eye*) On Monday, during the Martin Luther King Day episode, Bill referred to his guest media critic Bernie Goldberg, as the whitest guy in town. Bernie then decided to show how untrue that statement was by flashing an old school picture of him and rapper/actor Ice T…and mayhem ensued.

Seems that Bernie confused rapper/actor Ice Cube with Ice T. And Bill was just too happy to point this out.

That’s Ice Cube, Bernie. That’s how white you are. You don’t know Ice T from Ice Cube…that’s Ice Cube.

I’m a brother man, you can’t be doing that to me. I know the Cubes from the Ts.

He then proceeds to tell Bernie that he’s STILL the whitest guy he’s ever seen. Check out the clip, after the jump…The first 1:40 of the clip is all you need to see. SMH

During the dinner, the Braxton family revealed a few surprises. Miss E, Mama Evelyn Braxton, is engaged. Toni Braxton was unable to attend due to a flare-up from her battle with lupus. She sent her love from the hospital. Trina talked about “cheating” on her husband, plus their continued marital problems which includes a legal separation. Looks like Sir Charles turned around that Weight Watchers incident and came up on a gig! Charles hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend, with musical guest Kelly Clarkson. This marked Charles‘ third time hosting on the show.

Charles went back and forth for me. Pretty funny skits (like The NBA On TNT skit, with Charles playing Shaquille O’Neal and Keenan Thompson playing Charles) and “this could have been left on the editing floor” skits. But probably one of the best ones was White People Problems. Charles hosts a show that analyzes problems that seem to only exist for white people. Check out the video, after the jump…
