We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs, and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

We already know Blue Ivy will be the most spoiled kid on earth from listening to the lyrics of Glory. Let’s not forget all her  A-list God parents and play aunties like Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, and Oprah. Speaking of Oprah, guess what the billionaire mogul sent to Blue Ivy to welcome her into the world:

The Insider has learned that the TV titan sent Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter a trunk full of children’s books. A gesture that likely stems from her multiple early education endeavors.

In case you haven’t heard there is a tell-all-book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin by Joe McGinniss, coming out that will  expose some secrets about “the real” Sarah Palin. One of those secrets is that Palin has a one night stand with Glen Rice (a former NBA player) back when he was a junior in college. Sarah Palin at the time is a young journalist, and Glen Rice is an even younger college player in town for a tournament that journalist Palin is covering for a local Alaskan station in 1987. This scandal has been uncovered by the National Enquirer, and reportedly the author of the book confirms the details with Glen Rice.

The media is going crazy with this story because Sarah Palin is always talking about the unethical practices in the Mainstream Media. Well Sarah Palin, one of the most unethical practices in sports journalism is sleeping with the players. Secondly, Sarah Palin is an advocate of abstinence, but it doesn’t seem like anyone around her truly believes in abisteneence or practices it for that matter, including Sarah Palin. But, IMO, this is not the way to undermine Sarah Palin or prove her policies are wrong. If any of this is true, Palin was very young and she wasn’t even married to Todd yet.  If it was an affair, that would be scandalous, but it’s not. This is just a way in which men try to discredit women, and it’s sexist. So what Palin has slept with a black man, BIG DEAL!

As it turns out, the future governor went above and beyond the call of duty during her “coverage” of the event. According to the National Enquirer, a news source which was a Pulitzer contender last year, Palin conducted a one-on-one interview with then Michigan star Glen Rice. It was most likely done off the record.

In the book, which will be published on September 20th, McGinniss claims Sarah had a steamy interracial hookup with basketball stud Glen Rice less than a year before she eloped with her husband Todd.

Sarah hooked up with the NBA great, then a 6-foot-8 junior at the University of Michigan when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska in 1987, the book says. At the time, Sarah, just out of college, was working as a sports reporter for the Anchorage TV station KTUU.

A publishing source told The ENQUIRER that McGinniss claims Sarah had a “fetish” for black men at the time and he quotes a friend as saying Sarah had “hauled (Rice’s) ass down.”

Planking is THE dumbest sh*t ever. Planking was a way to transport slaves on ships during the slave trade, its not funny. Educate yourselves.

All his education I guess went into his deep rap lyrics about being a pimp and a playa. IDK

First off “planking” wasn’t a way to transport slaves. “Packing” was the way in which slaves were transported via ships. I hate when silly people say educate yourselves, because then it makes me wonder where exactly were they educated.

What books have Xzibit read on the subject? None! He’s read the same one post that has been spread across the internet that doesn’t even have a picture or illustration of slaves lying face down in a planking position. But no one has noticed that fact. Slaves were loaded onto the boat however they fit. There were two ways, loose packing and tight packing, not planking. The more cruel the ship owner the more ways the slaves were packed onto the ship. Brookes Illustration is the most famous example of how slaves were tightly packed onto slave ships, and in that illustration, the slaves are chained face up alternating head to foot. Someone found one line out of a history book that said some slaves were even packed face down using a plank collar, and started the rumor that planking came from slavery. Then all the sheep followed without bothering to pick up a book or to ask for the original source. Not to mention the person who invented the Lying Down Game, now known as “planking”, would have had to read a book on the North Atlantic Slave Trade in order to know that some slaves were placed in prone position face down with plank collars because all of the illustrations and diagrams on the internet show slaves face up or sitting down.

If you don’t like planking because you think it’s stupid, that’s fine. It can be stupid, but that’s why it’s so funny. But don’t call it racist, when you don’t even know how or where it started, or what the word plank actually means. The planks slaves were held in does not refer to the position of the slaves, but to plank of wood used. Plank means wood, and not slave or slavery…

If you don’t believe me, just go to Google Images and type in the word “planking”, and see what pops up…Planks of wood used to build ships and decks and other wooden structure. But, don’t get all your information from the internet, go to the book store or library and just read, or take a critical reading class. Certainly don’t believe anything that comes out of the mouth of someone who thinks he’s a pimp.Similar Posts:

Real or Reel? Evelyn Lozada from VH1’s “Basketball Wives” tells all with new Series of Novels

Los Angeles , June 7, 2011 – Evelyn Lozada, breakout star of VH1’s hit reality series “Basketball Wives,” is revealing all in her new series of novels, The Wives Association, which will be based on her life as the ex-fiancée of NBA player Antoine Walker and soon-to-be celebrity wife of NFL star Chad Ochocinco.  The series will chronicle the adventures of her alter ego, Eve Inez-Landon. A friend of mine introduced me to this Barbadian pop R & B artist a while ago. I had heard her music numerous times and was a fan of her unique sound. I jokingly told him I wanted to talk to her. He told me on the sly that he wasn’t sure she was into women but that he would confirm.

Well this scenario suggests that Burton had an affair with a Pop/R&B star from Barbados, and naturally webistes are reporting that the pop star in question is Rhianna. Well there is one other “Pop/R&B artist” from Barbados who is more famous overseas than in the states and her name is Shontelle Layne, or should I say allegedly her name is Shontelle. Shontelle has a unique sound and has released two albums, and is “most likely” the person described in the book because after all we are not really naming names. We are just speaking hypothetically. Just like the writer, Burton, Shontelle Layne was also pursuing a career in law before her fame kicked in. Shontelle has worked with artists such as Ne-Yo and was in a girl group with  Rihanna when they were both younger.  But, we will never know for sure because Burton will not confirm or deny rumors at this time.

First off, if Rihanna was bisexual, I don’t think she would hide it. In fact, I think she would market it, and use it for her own advantage. Not sure why the media wants to paint Rihanna gay, I think it’s just wishful thinking. Lastly, I don’t like tell all books that don’t name names. It could be anyone or no one at all.Similar Posts:

This just in–details about Rihanna’s first ever photo book!

On June 29, Rizzoli will be releasing Rihanna: The Last Girl on Earth. The 144-page hardcover book will be the artist’s latest collaboration with Simon Henwood, the creative director behind the near flawless Rated R campaign.

About the movie:

Incidentally, Curry shared that she had sent her book to an Atlanta-based foundation more than a month ago, so the timing of Foster’s story is eerily coincidental.

Surely Curry and Foster are not the first to touch on this topic, and I’m not sure why all the praise. Just read the comments in many of your favorite blogs and you can see this topic is hot. A publicist for E. Lynn Harris says the author has died at age 54.

Publicist Laura Gilmore says Harris died Thursday night after being stricken while at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Gilmore says a cause of death had not yet been determined. A coroners’ official in Los Angeles said only that a man matching Harris’ name and date of birth had died Thursday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

UPDATE: Essence.com has also posted a story on the death of E. Lynn Harris, but no official statement has been released, yet.

Renown author E. Lynn Harris passed away on Friday, July 24, at the age of 54, according to the Arkansas Times.

The celebrated author’s personal assistant confirmed that his health had declined but would not provide any details as to what caused his death. Harris was in the middle of a West Coast book tour. His best-selling novels such as “Invisible Life” depicted African-American gay community in a unique way and exposed the down-low phenomenon of athletes.

There is only one news source reporting E. Lynn Harris death, so until I get more confirmations, this will be posted as unconfirmed. E. Lynn Harris rep has not been able to verify, so this just may be a bad rumor. As soon as someone responds or release a statement I will update this post.

According to local Arkansas newspapers, E. Lynn Harris, the famed openly gay African-American writer dies at age 54, from health issues. Originally Harris was suffering health complications during a West Coast Book Tour, but just minutes ago Arkansas Sports 360 has confirmed his death. No word on what those complications are.

We owe the word down low to Mr. Harris, because he certainly made it a household name. Harris famed books were often controversial and revealed a secret world of gay black men, married to women. Harris had trouble finding a publisher for his first book, Invisible Life, so he published it himself. Since, five of his books have made the New York Times Best Seller’s List.

Standing strong she replied, “…Well, you might know soft, but that’s not my husband!” Hubert said she was totally alone.

After her ‘Fresh Prince’ contract was not renewed, and Smith went on his alleged slander campaign, Hubert took her case to court, spending $98K out of her own pocket in attorney’s fees.  “Will hid behind NBC’s panties, I swear,” she said, after she filed a slander suit against the actor and NBC.
