Barack Obama Ft. Hood Memorial Photos & Speech

President Barack Obama gave a moving speech yesterday at the Ft. Hood Memorial here in Texas. The sad thing is that “some” people are using this event as political referendum on the President. Just for this one moment, people should keep their partisan mouths closed, and just honor those who have fallen– out of respect.

Politics can resume tomorrow, but do not over analyze President Obama’s speech looking for a Muslim connection, and do not start conspiracy theories about Obama’s secret cells. Today is Veteran’s Day and both liberals and conservatives risk their lives for this country, along with people from various ethnic and racial backgrounds, as well as religions. So just for one day, show that you’re a patriot first, and a partisan second. God Bless America!

Russell Simmons Talks About The “Bill Cosby Attitude”

I was reading an article on Global Grind where Russell Simmons calls Bill Cosby intolerant because of his views of the black community and its failing systems of education and its lack of parenting. I just have to disagree with Uncle Russell here, because both him and Bill Cosby are right. There isn’t a one-step solution system to the problems that hurt blacks in this country, it’s a multilateral approach and first and far most it starts at home. We have to teach people how to parent, and we have to commit our lives to parenting our children. A good parent can do so much more for a child than any government welfare program can. However we have a lost generation of children who were force to raise themselves because their parents gave up and gave into the streets, the crack, the welfare system. (That doesn’t mean welfare is wrong, that just means everyone that’s on welfare don’t necessarily need welfare).

What they don’t understand is that the young people who they criticize did not create their own realities. They did not create the crumbling education system that we school them in. They did not create the drug epidemic and drug wars that have resulted in a dysfunctional family structure. They did not create the health care crisis that does not treat them. They did not create the culture of violence that they fall victim to.

When the President brought the Cosby attitude to his NAACP speech a few months ago, I was disappointed. It is nice to tell black people to stand up, but isn’t that really Min. Farrakhan’s job? The President’s job is to tell them to walk to the program that he placed on their corner. It is our job to instill the inspiration that gets a young person to walk into the program and not stand on the corner.

Old people are quicker to destroy the planet, abuse the animals and promote wars and then act like young people are violent. Young people are more compassionate, giving, promote gay rights, animal rights, human rights, protect the environment and want to end the wars. When they point out the contradictions that come up and say it on a record and say it LOUD, you can’t believe it!

Too often people like Russell Simmons criticize people like Bill Cosby and Barack Obama because they don’t buy into the single system solution; they know that personal accountability and choices have a large part in shaping the way people behave. I need Russell Simmons to stop making excuses for what people can’t do, and stop putting limitations on people because they are victimized. You can have a crack head mother and still be a doctor. There is no system that can benefit you better than hard work, and that starts with the parents.

Lastly, Russell Simmons is right. Those that have made it need to help others across. Go back and support a child who may not have that parent. Go back and donate money to a community center that helped you. Lobby the government for funding to school districts. Put on a free concert to buy books and computers for school. But, what ever you do, don’t knock another man [Bill Cosby] for his approach. It isn’t a choice of either or, but of all the above.

Work together, and shut it up! Who cares if Bill Cosby don’t like rap, stop defending why he shouldl like it, and start working with him to end the problems that create a need for children to use rap as an avenue out of poverty. Defending an art form of a younger generation to an older generation is a waste of breath; there was once a time when “gospel” and “the blues” were considered evil. The problem isn’t the music, the problem is the community and the music is just a reflection of that life. What we need is a national “Get Your Ass Up & Do Something Day”…Similar Posts:

Glenn Beck strikes again. This time he’s taking on volunteering. Yes, Glenn Beck doesn’t want you are your child to volunteer. Well, that’s not entirely true, he doesn’t want you or your child to volunteer if Obama or celebs ask you to. I understand his point is about controlling the message and the media, but honestly pick your battles. This is a message that needs to be controlled because it’s a good message, “Do something for others and join our initiative.”

That is probably what’s wrong with the right, they’re just not picking their battles wisely. First an outcry against education, now fear of volunteering. For example, Glenn Beck in the video below just reaffirms my theory that he’s psycho and doesn’t know what he’s fighting, he’s just ready to fight…

When I heard the news I was just elated. With all the hate going on, it’s nice to see Obama on top. The right wing has been throwing punches left and right, and Obama has maintained his cool. Congratulations, you didn’t win the 2016 Olympics, but you won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Two Black Kids Beat One White Kid While Others Just Watch

If this was child what would you do?

The Drudge Report introduced this story racially tinged. The fact of the matter is two blacks kids were caught on tape beating a white kid, but I don’t know if race was the motivation considering there were several other white kids on the bus who watched and did nothing to save the poor kid. I am so ashamed that kids found this humorous, and when it gets out of control two black boys step in to protect the white kid.

This all started when the new kid (white) needed to find a seat on the bus, and no one would allow the kid to sit next to them, so he took the first available seat, so he thought. Seconds after sitting down, a black boy next to him began pushing him and eventually hitting him in the face. Watch as the kids go wild as if they’re at fight club, and watch as two black boys decide to step in and stop the fiasco…

If this is your child you should be ashamed, and you may need to be arrested right along with him. I don’t think race was the motivation, but it doesn’t matter because it’s wrong in every shape and form. What are people teaching their kids, today? Honestly!

I’m sad to report that Senator Edward Moore Kennedy, aka Teddy Kennedy is dead. He died from brain cancer caused by a malignant tumor, which he was diagnosed with in May of 2008. Kennedy was instrumental in getting Obama elected, and was a champion of the people for his life long dedication to public service, and health care. He was the youngest brother and completed the Trinity that was known as the Kennedys Boys (John F, Robert F, and Edward M). His sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the founder of Special Olympics just died 2 weeks ago, at the age of 88. The name Kennedy is part of the fabric that is America, and will be greatly missed. They leave behind a great legacy and an example of liberalism at it’s finest. It’s hard for me to type this, I am saddened, deeply saddened.

Sen. Ted Kennedy died shortly before midnight Tuesday at his home in Hyannis Port, Mass., at age 77.

The man known as the “liberal lion of the Senate” had fought a more than year-long battle with brain cancer, and according to his son had lived longer with the disease than his doctors expected him to.

“We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever,” the Kennedy family said in a statement. “He loved this country and devoted his life to serving it.”

Sen. Edward Moore Kennedy, the youngest Kennedy brother who was left to head the family’s political dynasty after his brothers President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated.

Kennedy championed health care reform, working wages and equal rights in his storied career. In August, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honor — by President Obama. His daughter, Kara Kennedy, accepted the award on his behalf. [Source]

I know racism when I see it, and all those people trying to act like this is just the President as the joker, or missing a larger subliminal message. This is a play on black-face, and I don’t understand why the outrage is on the right, when the outrage should be amongst people with common sense that don’t believe in racism as the future for America. I am angry, and I am tired of the bull crap that has been leveled at this President because of his race. As a Christian, I do not understand the hate coming from Christian conservatives, and I’m starting to wonder about the spirit driving this movement. This is bigger than Jena 6, and no one is outraged. This is not socialism, this is hate, this is racism and I never thought I would see it at this level during my life time. What are we going to do about it?

Where is the genuine outrage?

The thing I love about this situation is that it took a liberal to the job. The think I hate about this situation is that it took a man to get it done. With much respect to Hillary Clinton, I do wish she could have negotiated the release of the two journalist, but once Mrs. Clinton saw that Kim Jung Lee had little respect for her as a woman, she sent in a secret weapon, her husband, President Bill Clinton.

With all the talk of patriotism, I’m surprised there was not one conservative who stood up for Laura Ling and Euna Lee, maybe it’s because they didn’t look “American” or maybe it’s because they are so busy trying to find Obama’s achilles heel. No matter what, a liberal once again came to the rescue of our citizens in need.

Let me tell you what’s crazy about the person leading the “birther” movement against Barack Obama, Orly Taitz isn’t a natural born citizen. You heard me right, the leader of this conservative fringe movement now known as the “birthers” is in fact not a natural born citizen of the United States. My side hurts from laughing at all the irony.

Now to make things more comical, Orly Taitz now claims to have proof the Barack Obama was born in Kenya, and has published photos of this birth certificate:

Now that this document has been analyzed, and it has been proven a fake. Yes, even Karl Rove, says it forgery, and at this point, I ‘m ready to pursue charges against Orly. She needs to be sent back to Israel because she is making a mockery of our legal system, while at same time magnifying the “birther” movement. I think we need to start a new movement demanding to see Miss Orly Taitz legal papers from all the countries she’s from.

I really don’t know what to think about this, but Phi Beta Sigam might have gone a little too far.

The historical black fraternity has voted to induct former President Bill Clinton as an honorary member. Clinton is the first U.S. president to be inducted into a historically black fraternity.

Phi Beta Sigma President Paul Griffin Jr. said Friday that Clinton is the first U.S. president to be inducted into a historically black fraternity.

The fraternity voted Tuesday for Clinton’s induction at its 95th Anniversary Conclave in New Orleans, La.

Stevie Wonder, Al Roker, Rev. Al Sharpton and jazz musician Ramsey Lewis are also honorary members of Phi Beta Sigma.

The fraternity was founded in 1914 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. It has more than 150,000 alumni and college members in about 500 chapters throughout the U.S., Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

I don’t want to create any controversy, but what did Bill Clinton really do for black people to have been so accepted by the black community and inducted in this historical fraternity. Please refresh my memory because I am drawing a blank.

I remeber Bill being a charismatic president and speaker, he had a likeable personality and was concerned with issues concerning all minorities (not only blacks), but what is his significance in the black community and issues?

Philadelphia -This is not even funny in the least bit. If you live Philadelphia then you need to go and boycott this private pool club for kicking out minority kids.

60 young campers (mostly black) from the Creative Steps Day Camp, were kicked out of private pool club because members didn’t want their children swimming with black children. The Valley Club revoked the day campers membership after finding out they were minorities and offered a refund. Here is an eye witness account:

When the minority children got in the pool all of the Caucasian children immediately exited the pool,” Horace Gibson, parent of a day camp child, wrote in an email. “The pool attendants came and told the black children that they did not allow minorities in the club and needed the children to leave immediately. The club offered this statement along with the refund, explaining why membership was revoked:

There was concern that a lot of kids would change the complexion…and the atmosphere of the club. [Source]

There is no explanation needed, a quitter is a quitter. Democrats should forever bran her as a quitter, and if she does that to the state of Alaska, imagine what she would do to this country. You don’t step down without a warning because you love your state, you step down without a warning because of selfish ambitions or personal mistakes. Which one is it Sarah Palin because no matter how you spin it, this is a political bull.

On Friday afternoon, Sarah Palin announces she’s resigning from her post as Governor because she loves the state of Alaska. She decides to make the announcement on the close of a media week, with this statement:

“People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothing’s more important to me than our beloved Alaska, serving her people is the greatest honor I could imagine…I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is not the easiest path…Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional ‘Lame Duck’ status in this particular climate would just be another dose of ‘politics as usual,’ something I campaigned against and will always oppose. It is my duty to always protect our great state. With that in mind, my family and I determined that it is best to make a difference this summer, and I am willing to change things, so that this administration, with its positive agenda, its accomplishments, and its successful road to an incredible future, can continue without interruption and with great administrative and legislative success. I look forward to helping others – to fight for our state and our country, and campaign for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops, and energy independence.”

If people fall for the spin she puts on that statement, then they deserve whatever comes with it. This is simply personal ambition getting in the way of public obligations. She took an oath to uphold her position as governor, and she gives it up because she loves the state.

Conservatives are spinning it to blame it on the media. The stupid theory that the media is unkind, is also bull. Give Me A BREAK! Obama has a whole network (FOX News) dedicated to destroying any thought he has. Then there is Rush Limbaugh and his racist legion calling him a spook, a socialist, illegal alien, terrorist, and a fascist. So in my eyes she is a simply QUITTER.

The world just may be coming to an end, because this week has been the most bizarre week in celebrity and politics. We have Lil Kim in North Korea trying puff his little chest at the US, as if he really wants another Hiroshima. Now you have the party of family values, losing yet another member to an affair. I get it now, conservative politicians value these principles they just don’t live by them.

Governor Sanford admits to having an affair at press conference today, after missing in action for nearly seven days. His wife already knew which explains her answers to reporters and why he left his wife and four children on father’s day weekend without a note, or goodbye. Anyway during a press conference Governor Sanford had this to say:

I have been unfaithful to my wife. I developed a relationship with what started out as a dear, dear friend from Argentina. I’m a bottom line kind of guy I’m just gonna lay it out. It’s gonna hurt and I’m going to let the chips fall where they may. To Jenny, anybody who has observed her over the last 20 years of my life knows how closely she has stood by my side in campaign, after campaign, after campaign. I’ve let down a lot of people, and that’s the bottom line.
