If you have never heard of Bun B’s Rapper Coloring And Activity Book, you need to re-evaluate your life. Writer Shea Serrano teamed up with rapper Bun B to create an activity book that every child of hip-hop would cherish (check it out here). In his blog post today in the Dallas Observer, Shea gave us two pieces of valuable information: 1. He’s currently working on another book. And if the activity book is any indication, I’m ready to buy it NOW. 2. His children tried to help him with his work on this new book by drawing some pictures of famous rappers for him. Check out their rendition of OutKast below:
HEE. LARRY. US. Wait until you see their drawings of Notorious B.I.G. and Drake. If you’re anything like me, you’re stomach is going to hurt from laughter. Kids are hysterical! Check it out:
Anytime I hear a story about a young man who was found to have been falsely accused of raping someone, I sigh heavily. Case in point, check out the story of former Temple Owls linebacker Praise Martin-Oguike, who lost a football scholarship after being falsely accused of rape, right here. It makes it harder for the people who have legitimate rape claims to be taken seriously. And it makes almost permanently changes the life of innocent people. One writer is hoping her idea for her son and other young men will prevent this type of error. Former ESPN vice president and founding editor of ESPN Magazine Roxanne Jones published this advice on CNN for her son and other young men out there: get a ‘yes’ text from any woman you’re seeking to have sex with.
Never have sex with a girl unless she’s sent you a text that proves the sexual relationship is consensual beforehand. And it’s a good idea to even follow up any sexual encounter with a tasteful text message saying how you both enjoyed being with one another — even if you never plan on hooking up again.
Halloween is right around the corner and children (and a few adults) everywhere are ready to participate in some Trick-Or-Treating and indulge in some yummy, free candy. Well, if you live in the city of Fargo, North Dakota, your kid might come home with a letter and probably a face full of tears. According to Fox 6 News, a woman only known as Cheryl is planning on handing out letters to children that she considers ‘moderately obese’ as opposed to candy.

“I just want to send a message to the parents of kids that are really overweight,” a woman only known as Cheryl said Tuesday. “I think it’s just really irresponsible of parents to send them out looking for free candy just because all the other kids are doing it.”
Happy Friday everyone! It’s been a long week, full of all sorts of fails, but I had to save this one for last. Gotta start that weekend off with a laugh. So what happens when America starts to become obsessed with ‘twerking’? Things like this.
YouTube user Caitlin Heller tried her best at making a sexy twerk video for her boyfriend and things go south, rather quickly. I’m guessing since she posted it, that she’s OK but boy I yelled so loud when I saw this! LMAO! Check it out below:
Hobbies. That’s the key word of the day, folks. Get you and your family some. Otherwise you might wind up getting involved in stupid stories like this. NBC 7 San Diego is reporting that 33 kids from a local high school were suspended after posting a twerking video on YouTube. The video was filmed at Scripps Ranch High School by students in a media class. During their 6th period class, 32 students took to twerking while one filmed. Using the schools media equipment. They then edited and uploaded the video to YouTube. *The Price Is Right losing horn*
The administration at the school was fed up! They suspended all 33 students. No word on what the specifics are but one student took to twitter to report that they were banned from prom AND from walking across the stage for graduation. The administration says they broke school policy. I don’t know why in God’s green earth they thought this was a good idea but here they are… SMH Check out the news story, when you continue…
Every time I hear someone say something like racism isn’t a problem anymore I have to wonder in what sheltered world do they live in. Because stories like this remind me that race relations in this country are still a major issue. An Asian fraternity by the name of Lambda Theta Delta at the University of California – Irvine has been under fire after posting a video where one of the members portrays Jay-Z by wearing blackface. Using Justin Timberlake‘s Suit & Tie as the soundtrack, the clip shows snippets of events that the fraternity has hosted. It then segways to a group of fraternity members singing along with Justin, when all of a sudden a member in blackface comes out as Jay Z.
The group has since then issued an apology on Facebook, saying that the use of blackface was insensitive and wrong. They also claim that the video was the creation of only a few members and not by the fraternity as a whole. They close by saying that the video does show that racism and ignorance still exists today and they in no way condone it. It was a great apology but I’m not sure I buy the “we didn’t know this was being made” angle. But, maybe that’s me. Check out the video in question plus the full apology below:
