Like every other celebrity in the world, both Will Smith and Rosario Dawson were in Miami earlier in the week. The duo was in town for the Seven Pounds movie premiere at AMC Sunset. The movie hits theaters on December 15th.
I love the interaction that they were having with the fans, and i’ve noticed that all the male celebrities are rocking the grey suit here lately.
I haven’t posted too many pictures of Gabrielle Union since she went off on all the blogs for tearing black celebrity women down from their weaves to their ashen ankles, but there is a new movie out with a black cast, and she happens to be in it, so I will post some pictures of Gabrielle Union. I will help market this movie, although I’m scared. I read the premise and I have to say it just doesn’t sound like my kind of movie, but it may be something worth taking the kiddies to see. Truth be told I heard it’s kind of funny. Meet Dave is about some small aliens (micro small) inside a spaceship that looks human, like Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy plays the part of the human looking spaceship as well as the captain of the miniature crew. So the Nilleans, as they are called, are on earth in search of a device that will help them save the planet Nill, where the miniature aliens live. The goal of the crew is to make the spaceship look and act like a real person, and fit into the New York culture. Sounds funny, right! I sure hope it is. Anyway check out pics of Gabrielle Union at the premier.
I was just praising Raven for her curves and beauty and then she pulls a publicity stunt like this. This outfit is what Raven Symone wore to the Christian Audigier’s One World Collection during Fashion Week in Los Angeles. I understand she has movie coming out and the movie is a comedy, but when you walk the red carpet for some odd reason you should dress in a more serious manner. I believe the reason is so that people will take your work as a sincere effort, even if it’s comical in nature. Considering the fact that she has $400 million or so in the bank (I still can’t believe that) she just may know what she’s doing, and maybe the rest of us should sit back and take notes.
Now that Super Tuesday 2 is over, I can get back to my job of maintaining this blog. I am disappointed that Obama lost Texas, but the race is not over, and he’s not down for the count. I applaud him for being noble and taking the high road, but this time he needs to come out of his corner with gloves on. Generally I don’t advocate male on female violence, but this is a metaphor, and Senator Obama needs to knock her out…of the race that is.
Here are some images of beautiful black women worth admiring in Hollywood. Don’t let the rap videos fool you, beauty can be classy, sophisticated, talented, and intelligent. This week some of the women I admire in Hollywood hit the scene.

Is it me, or do women with curves seem healthier and more beautiful? I don’t understand this stick thin craze going in Hollywood, but it’s definitely needs a backlash, and that’s coming from someone who is thin. I think men want women with some meat on their bones. Anyway, check out Raven-Symone heating up the red-carpet for the premier her new film, College Raod Trip, also starring Martin Lawrence. I must add, that I’m not feeling the hair…
Nicole Ari Parker is back. I am so happy, I think she is one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, and I loved her in Boogie Nights. Anyway she and husband, Boris Kodjoe, made guest appearances at the Universal Pictures World Premiere of Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. This film has so many stars including: Martin Lawrence, Margaret Avery, Joy Bryant, Michael Clarke Duncan, Mike Epps, Mo’Nique, Nicole Ari Parker, Cedric the Entertainer and James Earl Jones. Black love in Hollywood is alive.
Inspired by a true story, The Great Debaters chronicles the journey of Professor Melvin Tolson—played by Denzel Washington—a brilliant but volatile debate coach who uses the power of words to shape a group of students into a historically elite debate team. A controversial figure, Professor Tolson challenged the social mores of the 1930s and was under constant fire for his unconventional and ferocious teaching methods, as well as his radical political views.
In their pursuit for excellence, Tolson’s debate team, which hails from a small African-American college in Texas, receives a groundbreaking invitation to debate Harvard University’s championship team. The film is directed by two-time Academy Award® winner Denzel Washington and stars Forest Whitaker, Kimberly Elise, Jurnee Smollett, Nate Parker and Denzel Whitaker.
I can’t wait for this movie, I’m just so happy to see a positive black movie, no not a positive –a quality black movie. No fat lady big mama archetype; no guns, drugs, or ganstas; and no Wayans brothers. I’m not against those types of movies, I’m just a bit tapped out. I need a movie about family and the human spirit.
Checkout pics from the premier of This Christmas, starring everybody: Loretta Divine, Regina King, Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Mekhi Phifer, and many more.
Checkout Ludacris and his daughter, Karma Bridges, at the premier of ‘Fred Claus‘ at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. Am I the only one excited about this movie, probably so, I am such a Vince Vaughn fan.
Talk about pregnancy glow, Halle Berry looks beautiful in blue at the London premier of Things We Lost In The Fire. I am happy for Halle, I just wish she would give marriage one more try.

Movie Review:Claudia Puig in USA Today is more upbeat, writing “The movie makes some missteps, most of them in pacing and length, and the story veers occasionally into melodrama, but it is saved by the powerful performance of Benicio Del Toro.”[Source]
MR. UNTOUCHABLE is a film directed by Marc Levin. It is produced in association with Damon Dash Enterprises and Blowback Productions. I usually don’t do films, but this one looks pretty good. After watching a documentary on American Ganster, this idea of the black mafia is intriquing. This movie will have some hard shoes to follow, considering the movie American Ganster will be released this year, starring Denzel Washington. It will definitely give us something to talk about. The rise and fall of urban legends, and the key word being the fall. To learn more about this movie watch the trailer below or checkout my post on Nicky Barnes, the man behind the movie.
