I try to ignore the racial comments about Trayvon Martin deserving to be killed because he looked like a thug. I ignore the claims that the media has hyped this case, although it began as a grassroots movement. I ignore the New Black Panther Party who think placing a bounty on Zimmerman is worth advocating in the year 2012. I even ignore the fact that an insensitive idiot thought it was humorous to put cross hairs on a hoodie, and sell it in honor of Trayvon Martin. But this new trend called “Trayvoning” isn’t something I can just ignore. Please come get your kids!

Planking is stupid, but for the most part it’s harmless fun unless you’re planking on a balcony 50 stories in the air and you fall. Trayvoning, however, just goes to show the depth of ignorance that comes in the age of social media. A teen was killed and his mother and father are still alive– mourning and grieving. Yet, teens are posting pictures of themselves in hoodies, playing dead next to some Skittles and Arizon Tea.

I agree with Clutch Magazine, whether or not you think Zimmerman was justified in his actions, I thought we all agreed that Trayvon’s death was an unnecessary tragedy. I guess now it’s more of a joke, or another twisted way of raising awareness for a case that already has a high profile. I give up! I refuse to believe there is such a thing…

In the little bit of time these two have been dating (what has it been…maybe a month or so?) they sure do seem to find themselves in a bunch of awkward positions.  Well, let’s add one more, shall we?  According to The Huffington Post, during a recent date night, Kanye West was exiting the car after dinner with Kim Kardashian when low and behold, his leather Balencia pants nearly dropped all the way off.

Apparently the two were headed back to Kanye‘s apartment when this took place.  Kanye quickly fixed his situation when he noticed but not before the paparazzi snapped his picture of him.  That’s not even a little slip.  That’s like a full out, I-can-see-your-package type of a pants fall.  Kim didn’t even notice and kept walking but it makes me wonder…

Nicki Minaj deleted her twitter account today, but it will probably be back very soon, considering she has 11 million twitter followers and an album that needs promoting. WARNING: This is going to sound like some high school mess, but it’s real.

Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good effing bye…And that’s exactly why I’m paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh – don’t cry 4 me argentina.

NickiDaily is a popular fan site dedicated to everything Nicki Minaj. The site is run by a super fan who spends her time promoting and publicizing everything that is Nicki Minaj. Basically this fan makes sure that Nicki Minaj has a strong internet presence while providing a platform where Nicki Minaj’s fans, aka Barbz, can get the latest and most positive coverage on Nicki Minaj.

Unfortunately, NickiDaily posted music from the album, Roman Reloaded, and Nicki Minaj became upset that her fan site would “leak” (play) music from Nicki’s new album. So Nicki Minaj blocked NickiDaily on twitter, and started a war between Nicki Minaj, NickiDaily, and the Barbz.

Team Nicki is now divided, with many Barbz defending NickiDaily and the hard work she has done, and the others fans taking Nicki Minaj’s side by attacking NickiDaily.  The fight got out of hand, and Nicki Minaj received a lot of backlash from her Barbz, so Nicki Minaj threatened to leave twitter. After a few minutes of threats and fighting, Nicki Minaj deleted her twitter account (for now). NickiDaily also deleted their twitter account and closed down the fan site, with the song Dear Old Nicki playing in a loop.

Publicity stunt or not, this is out of control behavior for a pop star. I honestly don’t think it’s wise to fight with so called fans, especially when Nicki’s album is battling for the number one slot in it’s second week against an album that has been on the charts for well over a year. I also don’t think it’s wise to delete a twitter account over a few negative comments, when there are true fans willing to call themselves Barbz. It’s also really high school to have a clique and threaten to replace them when they are not boosting the ego of the mean girl leader, almost sadistic.

Lastly, I understand the music business is tough, and artists have a lot of people wishing they would fail, but find away to tune out the noise before you self-destruct.  This is going to spark break-down rumors and is just another incident in a series of bazaar behavior from Nicki Minaj. I think Nicki Minaj is trying too hard, and rightfully so with so much riding on her, but at what cost? I could be a fan if I felt a connection between the product and the artist, but I just feel like there are too many things in the way. I see the talent, just don’t feel the authenticity. Instead it’s just layers upon layers. Sometimes less is more, I would like to see less of Nicki Minaj, and more of Onika Tanya Maraj. Where is that woman in Dear Old Nicki?

I get it, though! People on twitter can be mean. I don’t know how many fights I’ve gotten into on twitter over something superficial. BUT there is always that person that takes it too far.

George Zimmerman has definitely been feeling the stress from the Trayvon murder case. Since the release of the police video, it looks as though George Zimmerman has lost weight. The picture we are use to seeing of a thick George Zimmerman in orange is from a mugshot in 2005 after he was arrested for assaulting a cop, or was it domestic violence, or perhaps disorderly conduct. I swear, Fridays bring out the crazies.  According to the Daily Mail, last night Kim Kardashian was at an event to launch her new perfume, True Reflection, when an unidentified Asian woman launched a white substance-filled bomb at Kim.

And she got a direct hit!! The woman was escorted away by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the fire department later determined that the substance was regular all-purpose flour. To her credit, Kim just simply walked off with her staff, where I’m sure they cleaned her up.  Good thing it was simple flour and not anything dangerous.  Check out the aftermath photo PLUS a video of the incident, when you continue…

I LOVE me some El Debarge…I really do. Just like any legend, it’s hard watching El Debarge, as he struggles to get his life back on track. The singer canceled many of his shows last year to return to rehab, and today TMZ is reporting that the singer has been arrested for drug possession with attempt to sell. Sadly, the singer has a lot of kids and a big family to support, so I pray he can kick his addiction. His voice is still smooth as butter, and hopefully this just a small set-back.

“Rhythm of the Night” singer El DeBarge was arrested for drug possession in L.A. yesterday … and cops believe El may have been trying to deal the junk.

El was popped around 2 PM in Encino, CA … after LAPD officers observed him participating in what appeared to be a drug deal with another man near the 101 Freeway.

DeBarge was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. It’s the 3rd time El has been arrested for drug possession since 2001.

He was hauled to a nearby jail where he was booked and released on $30k bail.  El is due back in court next month.

Dear Chris Brown,

Dude.  You make it hard for people to 1) like you 2) support you and 3) stop holding grudges against you.  I think everyone, even you, would say that the fight between you and Rihanna was incredible surprising, disappointing and unfortunate.  At that time, you two were one of the top super couples of the generation. Almost like a younger version of Jay-Z and Beyonce.  But, it happened and you paid the price.  Thousands of community service hours and one year of abuse counseling later, you emerged, ready to reclaim your star status of before.

Well…You effin it up. BIG TIME.

You want so badly to have people on your side again and for people to stop talking about the “incident” but you aren’t doing anything to help the process along!  It doesn’t help that you get angry on Twitter and go on rants about haters.  It doesn’t help that you stop doing interviews because you’re tired of answering the questions about the “incident”. And it doesn’t help that you’re acting like a typical whiny young person, who thinks they know it all and wants to do whatever they want.

The fact of the matter is, is that you made a HUGE and very public mistake and the only way to back track from that is to do the opposite. Case in point? R. Kelly.  This bastard here was on trial for peeing {Read the rest as Dear World Love Toni}

UPDATE:  Spoke to the LA correspondent, at Kelly Price’s party. She said Whitney was energetic, cordial, and happy at the party. Ms Houston RSVP’d the night before and agreed to sing for FREE!!! She also explained that Stacy Francis was the one that bumped into Whitney Houston, but the exchange may have lasted a few seconds.  There wasn’t anything physical. The correspondent also said she wouldn’t even call it a fight, the whole thing was blown way out of proportion. When asked why did Whitney appear tired toward the end, she simply said Whitney was all over the party full of energy. I asked repeatedly if anything seemed out of place, and she said no. Just wanted to make sure we got this story right for Whitney and her family!!! RIP…

UPDATE: This post was written just shortly before we found out Whitney Houston has dies. These are the last public moments of the singer, and unfortunately they were not good publicity moments. RIP Whitney Houston! I really hope there’s peace…

Whitney Houston attended Kelly Price’s Pre-Grammy party, and decided to get on stage to sing a special version of Jesus Love Me to Kelly Price. When I saw the video my first thought was, and I am being honest, “I hope Whitney is not back on that stuff!” An hour later, I saw this picture below, and I was wondering aloud, “Why does Whitney Houston look as though she’d just been in a fight?”

Well it turns out that Whitney was fighting X factor contestant, Stacy Francis, over Ray J in the club. Yes, a cougar on cougar smack down of words over Brandy’s little brother Ray J. Sadly, Stacy Francis wasn’t even checking for Ray J, she was just saying hello because she’d known Ray J for awhile,  but Whitney wasn’t trying to hear that.  Details when you continue…

Obviously, this is not a laughing matter and Whitney Houston needs help. There are too many people in denial around her. It may not be crack drugs, but you can’t tell me…that this is normal behavior for a grown woman:

According to a source, after Francis performed an Etta James tribute and Houston joined Price on stage, the two were reintroduced in the VIP section. “It didn’t seem like Whitney remembered her, but she was cordial at first.”

The scene changed minutes later when R&B star Ray J, who Francis had met over the years, stepped into the conversation. “Whitney just got belligerent,” an eyewitness tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Ray was trying to defend Stacy, telling Whitney, ‘Stacy’s family!’, but Whitney was feeling crowded out and hands were raised.”

Fortunately, the situation was diffused without any punches thrown, but says the source, “You didn’t know which way it could go there for a minute.”

When contacted by THR, Francis didn’t deny that the incident happened, but would only say, “I have the utmost respect for Whitney Houston and her talent.” {via The Hollywood Reporter}

I’m speaking as a girl who had a lot of abortions and I swear to God, if they had shown me a picture of the fetus… I would have put my child in a lot of situations that wouldn’t have been good because I didn’t have the mental capacity to deal with having a child.

Wow! She said a lot of abortions. I don’t know what to say about that, but I DO appreciate her honesty because not many women would give such a testimony publicly, let alone to the whole nation. If you want to know why Sherri Shepherd was in such a bad place in her life, she explains the reasoning behind the abortions:

Before I converted to Christianity, I was a Jehovah’s Witness. In 1993, my mother was dying from diabetic complications. My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I was in a very physically abusive relationship. I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count. I had very low self-esteem and just wanted to die. I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn’t even make a difference. But God showed me that it would make a difference.

The ladies also brought up a good point. Many of the people that are fighting for pro-life laws are the very women (Conservatives) that turn their backs on poor women when they choose life– by fighting legislation that provides welfare, food stamps, childcare, and early education. For so many poor and abused women, plus women addicted to drugs, there are very few options when they choose to have children. If we are to be a pro-life country, we have to do better, and have more compassion for women in “circumstances”. We can’t be pro-life and judgmental and selfish, too. I agree with President Obama let’s start by reducing the need for abortion first, and educate women on sexual health and reproduction.Similar Posts:

Shaunie O’Neal has nothing on Mona Scott-Young , the producer of Love & Hip-Hop. Last night during the “reunion” special, I watched Mona Scott-Young, basically pimp a cast of women for ratings. Mona Scott-Young and her team were unable to have a regular reunion special to clear the air. Mona claimed the reason behind the decision to not have a reunion special was because the women were still angry and ready to fight, but honestly I think most of the women had a problem with Mona and Yandy, and how they set-up fights to boost ratings.

In almost every interview, each cast member said Mona intentionally took things out of context to edit the narrative for ratings, and against their best wishes put the cast-members in hostile environment to provoke a fight. The only person that didn’t have a problem with the editing was Yandy. O_0 How convenient!!! Considering Yandy was at the center of every fight, and the only cast member that was buddy-buddy with Mona on screen.

One scene that almost broke my heart was Erica Mena’s break-down during her exit interview with Mona. Obviously if you go on a show like Love & Hip-Hop you’re on your last leg as far as career options, and you just need a boost to your career. Well Erica Mena broke down in tears because she felt like she wasn’t accurately portrayed. Although you can’t make a woman do anything she doesn’t want to do on camera, you can manipulate the story line so that her character is one dimensional. All I am saying is that Mona, if she cared about these women in any manner, could have made these stories more balanced and featured the good and the bad, and not just the evil. Mona intentionally left out the good stories in the lives of these women as she accidentally revealed while interviewing Somaya, and focused mostly on the things that were negative.  Mona, also had the nerve to tell Erica Mena that she could learn a lesson from this experience, and become a better person. Now, go make my money!!!

The only thing that scene above proved to me is that this mess was a set-up, and that the producers could have prevented the fight. It also proved that Erica’s role was to start drama. I can’t believe Mona said off camera, I thought you were going to introduce her first, not just jump in, let’s reset. How could Mona think that if the show wasn’t scripted ?

From abusive men to abusive women. At least Shaunie tries to balance the lives of the women on her show. But hey, I hope Mona gets nominated for the Pimp of the Year award at the 2012 Players’ Ball. Sadly, Love & Hip-Hop Hotlanta is coming soon!

What could have been a perfect farewell to Ms Etta James, ended as one of the most embarrassing moments EVER for singer Christina Aguilera.  Honestly, I thought I would be here typing about a wardrobe malfunction because I was scared Christina’s boob would pop out of that dress in front of Jesus, but instead I am writing about the mystery fluid that resembled blood streaming down Christina’s leg while she performed At Last on stage during James’ funeral. I really don’t know if Christina Aguilera started bleeding on stage, SMH that would be every woman’s worst nightmare. Honestly, I believe Christina Aguilera was sweating and her spray on tan stained the sweat as it streamed down her legs, thus the reason she was wiping it off below.  You can’t wipe blood off your leg like that, can you? *shrugs* So I think the mystery is solved, at least I hope it’s stained sweat.

No one knows exactly what that fluid is flowing down Christina’s legs, but any liquid falling out of a skirt, will not be perceived as a good thing in the age of the “intanets”. What do you think? I guess this is something that will continue to haunt Janet Jackson for years now. As you may, or may not know, pop icon Madonna has been chosen to perform during the Superbowl Halftime show this year. As she sat down with NY1.com to discuss her plans for the halftime show, she was questioned about what her plan for her set will be. Because, as we all know, after the infamous “nipple slip” incident with Janet AND Justin Timberlake (which people tend to leave out…why? I don’t know…but I have my theories…) the NFL has been on alert for any potential mishaps occurring again.

So when questioned on if she had a naughty surprise in store, (because let’s face it: Madonna‘s career was built off of music and sex) she responded by saying that “you don’t have to show nipples to be interesting.”

So Kim Kardashian and her mother reportedly went on a vacation in Dubai back in October before Kim’s divorce. During the Dubai vacation, Kim revealed to her mother, Kris Jenner, that she and Kris Humphries were having marital problems. Sounds harmless, right? The only problem is that none of it actually happened in real life, but in a movie studio, not in Dubai but LA, and not in October before the divorce, but in December months after the divorce. If it was a real marriage, why create fake scenes to explain the divorce? Why create fake scenes to save Kim’s image? Why create fake scenes on a reality show? Rihanna has been in the news lately and none of it has been good. Womp. First, on Saturday during a concert in Portugal, Rihanna’s health struggles came to a head. It’s been no secret that she’s been battling everything from exhaustion to the flu during this tour. If it was me, I’d take this as a clue that my schedule needs to slow down. Not everyone can have a hectic tour run and perform top notch every night. But, despite doctor’s warnings, Rihanna kept pushing through shows.

Then, after way through performing her song What’s My Name, RiRi had to rush off stage…to throw up. Yeah. She even went on to Twitter later on, to explain what happened.

“yep! i ran off stage to throw up, halfway thru Whats My Name…made it back juuuust in time for RudeBoy” she tweeted to a fan following the show.

Poor thing.  Check out the footage where she runs off stage here.  And if that didn’t make her feel bad, the people over at Jackie magazine made her feel even worse.  While the Dutch magazine was trying to praise her style and give readers tips on how to pull off her look in the cold of winter, they used a “colorful” title.   How they didn’t know it was offensive, I’ll never know. Sam Hurd, former receiver for Dallas Cowboys, and now a soon-to-be fired receiver of the Chicago Bears, was arrested Friday for trying to buy up to $750,000 in drugs on a weekly basis. Hurd just recently signed with the Chicago Bulls for a three year deal worth $5.15 million with a $1.35 million signing bonus up front. Obviously Sam Hurd was not happy with his NFL salary because the young man, known for his Christian beliefs, had a side job pushing weight across state lines. Teammates did not see this coming because Hurd was well known as a Christian who professed his faith, never showed signs of illegal activities, and always demonstrated strong moral convictions. Now, this young man is facing up to 40 years in jail, and $2 million in fines for trying to buy 1,000 pounds of marijuana at $450 a pound, and 10 kilos of cocaine at $25,000 per kilo from an undercover agent.

It’s a situation that you don’t, I don’t, want anybody to be in, especially a close friend, a teammate that I’ve been playing with now for 4 or 5 years,” fellow Bears wide receiver Roy Williams told the AP. “Especially a guy from Texas with a wife and a daughter. … I know it has to be tough for him because he has his family.

What is it about the Dallas Cowboys that keep players connected to drugs? I know Hurd was playing for the Chicago Bears when he was arrested, but he spent six years prior playing for Dallas before heading north to Chicago. More details on this crazy case when you continue. Sam Hurd, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, is being held in federal custody after he was arrested for attempting to organize a drug-dealing network.

Hurd, 26, was in possession of over a pound of cocaine he purchased from an undercover agent at the time of his arrest, according to AP.

The wide receiver, whose deal with the Bears was announced in late July, was arrested on Wednesday night after he met with an undercover agent in a Chicago restaurant and expressed interest in purchasing 5 to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 grams of marijuana per week.

Hurd declined to comment on the charges but told reporters he believed he was still with the Bears.

Hurd allegedly told the agent he and a partner already distribute approximately 4 kilos of cocaine each week in the Chicago area, but required a new supplier to manage their demands.

After agreeing to pay the agent “dealer” $25,000 per kilogram of cocaine and $450 per pound for the marijuana, Hurd left the restaurant with a package of cocaine and was promptly arrested.
