Things are definitely getting ugly in the Nas and Kelis divorce proceedings. Several months ago rumors surfaced that there was trouble bruding between the couple, the existence of a sex tape between Kelis and another rapper, Nas’ mistrust and anger toward Kelis. Then Kelis announces that she was pregnant and it seemes, at least for a while, that all was good in Nas and Kelis land. Not long after the couple seperates and Kelis filed for a divorce.
Now The Daily News is reporting that there may be more to the story. According to the news source Nas has been physically abusive toward Kelis.
It’s bad enough that Nas supposedly threw a glass of Patron in Kelis’ face before abandoning her at a London club, if all the sordid-but-juicy details about their split in The MOST!, Vibe’s new tabloid, are correct. But last week, Nas thought it was a classy idea to post photos of himself partying with groupies on Turks and Caicos— even as his estranged wife sat home, eight months pregnant. Nas’ rep didn’t return our call, and Kelis — who filed for divorce in April — had no comment. But on Thursday, the singer commented for herself on Twitter. “All the s— bag coward husbands and the less-than-impressive sluts unite! You can all go down in flames together! Hooray!”
Tony and Eva Longoria-Parker were spotted in LA headed to Beso (Eva is part owner of this Latin-inspired restaurant) for dinner. I see Eva was showing off her over-sized Louis bag:
Supermodel Naomi Campbell and her Russian boyfriend, Vladimir Dornin, were spotted poolside at their Miami hotel:
…i’m just glad that Ms. Campbell has toned down her temper recently. It’s great to see her making headlines by booking top jobs and looking fabulous, not for tossing cell phones.
A fabulous Jennifer Lopez was spotted in Beverly Hills the other day in a little white dress:
J-Lo and hubby Marc Anthony just filed a lawsuit against Silver Cross Ltd, the makers of a baby carriage, for about $30 million claiming that the company used a photo of them to help sell a baby stroller.
Another celebrity wife, Mariah Carey, attended the 24th Annual Independent Film Spirit Awards. In case you didn’t know, Carey showed her acting chops in the Sundance phenomenon Push.
Last but not least, Ciara recently tapped an episode of Dogg After Dark (Snoops new MTV Talk Show). Fantasy Ride hits stores April 7th.
Last night, First Lady Michelle Obama made the opening remarks as she President Obama hosted an evening of celebration in honor of Stevie Wonder’s receipt of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for popular song at the White House. The event was taped for PBS:
She looked amazing in this green number. Michelle is such a poised and easy-going lady.

The editors of world’s most recognizable fashion magazine (VOGUE) finally placed First Lady Michelle Obama on its March 2009 cover. This bold move made Michelle the second first lady (after now Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton) to appear on its coveted cover. But do you love it?
On being a mom: I’m going to try to take them to school every morning — as much as I can. But there’s also a measure of independence. And obviously there will be times I won’t be able to drop them off at all. I like to be a presence in my kids’ school. I want to know the teachers; I want to know the other parents.
On her background: We like to joke that the South Side of Chicago is our Kennebunkport. . . . We learned in our household that there was nothing you couldn’t talk about and that you found humor in even some of the toughest times. I want to bring that spirit of warmth, openness, and stability to my task.

Vogue’s Editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley interviewed Michelle while famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. On the cover Michelle wore magenta silk sheath Jason Wu dress which showed off her toned arms. Last night, President Obama hosted the first-ever Neighborhood Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center which featured unprecedented free and affordable tickets to a normally exclusive affair.
Celebrities in attendance included Janice Combs, Diddy, Mary J Blige, Faith Hill, Denzel Washington, Sting, and many more.
Both Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez took to the stage. Mariah performed while J-Lo was a presenter. Jennifer and Husband Mark Anthony were spotted chatting with Vice President Joe Biden:
Toward the end of the ball, Beyonce came out and performed “At Last” while President Obama and First Lady Michelle danced:

The beautiful and ever-stylish Kerry Washington attended the 23rd annual American Cinematheque show Monday in Beverly Hills.
This year, the orgainzation honored Samuel L. Jackson at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Samuel with his wife, LaTanya Richardson, and daughter Zoe Jackson.
Justin Timberlake hit the red carpet, but Denzel Washington did not and was spotted presenting during the show.
I’m sure Sam and Justin were appreciating each others tux choices for the night. Glad to see Sam being honored for his work.
