Chris Bosh is making Miami his permanent home with each passing day. The basketball player recently put his California mansion on the real estate market for $14.5 million.
Many thought Chris was going to put his home in Miami up for sale during the NBA shakeup that saw LeBron James and several other players change teams.
Seemingly following in the footsteps of mastermind Jay-Z, rapper Lil Wayne has just recently launched his very own sports management agency. Reportedly developing the agency has been a project that Wayne has been toying with for a while now. It’s reported that Lil Wayne’s first signee will be none other than superstar soccer player (footballer) Christiano Ronaldo.
If you don’t know Christiano you must certainly will soon! He is a massive Portuguese superstar known not only for his mad soccer skills but his smoldering looks. Ronaldo will not be leaving his current management, but Lil Wayne’s company will be responsible for Ronaldo in the United States, and according to TMZ, they will handle: “everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals…even modeling.”
Weezy seems to be making a smart move landing a footballer as his first client. The US is still energized after their surprising successful stint in the World Cup. It seems soccer has never been more popular.
It will be interesting to see if the ‘midas touch’ Lil Wayne has had in music will follow him through his time in sports. All eyes remain on Weezy.
On the heels of last weeks ESPY Awards which novice NFL star Michael Sam take home the Arthur Ashe Courage Award former NFL player/coach Tony Dungy has stirred the pot and lit the internet ablaze over his remarks coerning the drafting of the openly gay Sam.
You most likely recognize Dungy from his very successful stints as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Indianapolis Cults where he became the first black coach in NFL history to win a Superbowl. In an interview with a local Tampa publication Tony stated he wouldn’t have taken the Missouri defensive end Sam had he been running the team. ”I wouldn’t have taken him,” said Dungy, now an NFL analyst for NBC. “Not because I don’t believe Michael Sam should have a chance to play, but I wouldn’t want to deal with all of it. It’s not going to be totally smooth,” he told the paper. “… Things will happen.”
Dungy did not go on to elaborate as to what those “things” he mentioned could entail. And with those thoughts Tony is now under fire from Michael Sam fans, lgbt groups and others.
Certainly there are a sea of others who are trepidatious about an openly gay player transitioning smoothly into the NFL culture, still, isn’t it about time? Comment your thoughts below…
Lamar Odom is trying to pickup up the pieces from a failed marriage and troublesome career. The NBA player was recently released from the New York Knicks, and now a family friend has said he’s just trying to regroup and begin again.
“This is truly not the way Lamar wanted to go out,” said the inside source.
Drake, I must admit, did a GREAT job as host of the 2014 ESPY Awards, in fact I think this year’s show was one of the best ESPY Awards to date. His opening jokes were funny, he finally got a kiss from Skylar Diggins, plus his skits created a buzz across social media one of which featured Chris Brown, and Blake Griffin.
Yes! The battle of the lights is finally over, Drake and Chris Brown have gone from bottle tossing beefs in the club to BFFs…And I Luv it.
Check out the skit below and watch as Blake Griffin and Chris Brown kidnap Drake to steal his hosting job at the ESPYs.
LeBron may be leaving the ‘Heat’ but Chris Bosh wants to stay around the fire just a bit longer. The NBA star agreed to an $118 million maximum deal on Friday, just hours after LeBron announced his departure from the Miami team. Bosh was sought out by the ‘Rockets’ and offered a maximum deal with the Houston team as well, but ultimately decided to stick with the ‘Heat’ for a few more years.
The NBA trading period is becoming more interesting with reports of Dwyane Wade being offered a contract by the Chicago ‘Bulls,’ and Carmelo Anthony being sought after by the Los Angeles ‘Lakers.’ Kobe Bryant even expressed his desire to have Melo on the team telling the press, “I would love to play with him. We’ve really clicked since 2008, and I would love to see him out here [in Los Angeles].”
Although Kobe would love to work side-by-side with him, Carmelo has opted to remain with the New York ‘Knicks’ for a few more seasons. There is no word on whether or not Dwyane Wade will join the Chicago ‘Bulls.’
