Now if THIS actually sees the light of day…I’m kind of scared for the city of Houston, Texas.  According to My Fox Houston, two gentlemen by the names of Marcus Mitchell and Steve White says they have plans to erect a monument for Houston born Beyonce, right in the city.  The pair feel like a monument shouldn’t come after the superstar has passed — tribute should be given while she’s still alive.  They say they have the support of the mayor of Houston and are looking for private donors for the construction via their company, Armdeonce Ventures. So what are their plans for this monument?

“We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you’ll have a separate nameplate,” Marcus said. “There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum.”

I have MAD questions, yo. First, why are you conducting this interview via webcam in, what looks like, someone’s dining room?  And why is the company’s website filled with misspellings, spacing issues and general editing mistakes? I won’t even mention that it’s a website generated from one of those free website hosts. Their description of the monument sounds more like an entertainment venue.  And…I don’t know. I just get a general sense of “this sounds like a bunch of shadiness” about this story, but may it’s just me.
