The newest R&B Divas: LA cast member Leela James has some new music to share with fans. Her new single “Save Me” features singer/ songwriter Joe Ryan, and their two voices mixed together definitely produces a heavenly sound. The single will appear on her latest project Fall For You. There may be some new divas in the mix, but there is definitely still some trouble following the group of ladies in this new season.

The self-proclaimed king of R & B, Bobby Brown recently announced that he will be leaving the New Edition tour. Bobby has been experiencing medical issues that are forcing him to leave the tour early. While performing in Mississippi, Bobby appeared winded during the famous New Edition dance routines; this ultimately led to him walking off the stage.
According to TMZ, a representative of Mr. Brown stated the New Edition singer had undergone an “intrusive medical procedure,” which would make performing difficult. Bobby Brown stated, “I apologize to the fans of New Edition. I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give fans what they typically expect from New Edition.” Bobby’s departure is bound to disappoint a lot of fans, but maybe he will be able to rejoin the tour at a later date.
Traci Braxton is the loud outspoken younger sister of Toni Braxton, and is also a cast member of the hit reality show The Braxton Family Values. On the show Traci is often portrayed as the “wild child” or the “black Sheep” of the family. Throughout every season of the show, Traci has made it very clear that she would like to pursue a music career that doesn’t involve singing back-up for her older sister.
Well now it looks like Traci is going to get her chance to show the world what she can do, according to S2S Magazine. Traci recently revealed that she has signed a record deal with E One, and that she has a single that will be dropping later this month. According to Traci, her sound is a mixture of Mary J Blige and Jill Scott, and she has some pretty heavy hitters helping her out with her debut album. “Tank wrote a couple of songs on my album, and Raheem DeVaughn is doing a duet with me,” Traci said while at this year’s Essence Music Fest. Traci’s album will drop October 14th, and the new season of The Braxton Family Values is set to air in August on WEtv.
MrsGrapevine was front and center last night as the girls of Danity Kane reunited on stage at Los Angeles’ Universal CityWalk performing for the first time as a trio. Without former bandmates D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres the remaining ‘Making the Band’ girls Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex are forging ahead and (as you will see) are still ‘showtoppin’! Click and play some of the must-see footage from last night’s concert below…
Danity Kane is still on fire! No lip-syncing and killin’ harder dance moves than ever, the trio packed a memorable punch to the mammoth crowd. Treating fans to classics hits (above) and sampling some new cuts the girls ended their one-hour set with their new summer anthem ‘Lemonade’.
On the red carpet before the event the girls promised that there is an album in the works, nearly completed and that a visual for Lemonade would be dropping soon.
Re-conquering the music scene will no doubt prove an uphill battle for the now seasoned DK yet its critical to keep in mind the previous success of the group. Their two previous albums performed incredibly well on the charts. Flashback to their debut album which sold over 90,000 copies in its first day of release, the self-titled record Danity Kane officially sold 234,662 copies its first week, placing it at number one on the U.S charts. Those numbers are near unheard of these days!
Shoutout to the girls who must be commended for putting on a truly memorable live experience. Keep an eye out for these girls, they are not ready to dissolve into the musical landscape anytime soon!
