I was reading Quick Catchup, and I came across this candid interview of Tameka Foster with Love B Scott. She talks openingly about her marriage, her divorce, her children, and that trip to Brazil that left her in the hospital. She also talks about bloggers and how they distort information to make her out to be the villain.

Radar Online sent over this interview of Rihanna on the Bert Show on Q100 in Atlanta. In the interview she tells the show that she has no regrets regarding her interview with Diane Sawyer, and that she was honest in the interview depsite what other people say. When asked if she misses Chris Brown, she first said, “sometimes”, and then she gave a definitive “yes”. She also tells them that she is not dating Tristan Wild from 90210. I knw you have seen the pictures of Sammy Sosa, and all I can do is SMH! Bloggers have the reputation for being mean, but let me explain why. We are opinionated people that you know in your everyday lives, and our platform to express ourselves are our blogs. We say what many people are thinking, and right now I’m thinking, not another Michael Jackson. I mean seriously if Sammy was going to bleach his skin he could have at least done it gradually one shade at a time. But he went from dark to Brad Pitt, in the blink of eye. Bloggers are tired of the “bs” that is celebrity, that’s why we’re so mean. How can you see something like this, and not say word, or have an opinion?

I know I’m late, but I just could not give up the opportunity to express my concern. To read more and to hear what other bloggers have to say check out my girl Miss Jia.

In a recent interview with Spanish TV Univision, Sosa explains that he was not trying to look white, or follow in Michael Jackson’s footsteps: (Really!?!)

Sammy Sosa says he wasn’t trying to look white like Mike.

The ex-Cubs slugger said a European skin cream he uses at bedtime combined with a strong camera flash caused his face to appear ghost white in a recent headline-grabbing photo from Las Vegas — and he “respected” Michael Jackson too much to try to match his appearance.

I’m doing well, doing well, thanks to God. A little surprised by the tsunami of attention,” Sosa told a reporter for Spanish TV network Univision, the New York Daily News reports.

“I use a cream to keep my skin smooth and soft,” he said without naming the product. “I apply it before I go to bed. When I was playing for Chicago all those years, I was in the sun a lot for one o’clock games.”

Sosa said he’s such a fan of the mystery cream, in fact, that he’s in negotiations with its maker to go to bat as a company pitchman. [Source]

When Sosa’s ghostly photo from the Latin Grammys first appeared, speculation centered on whether his lighter appearance was the result of vitiligo, a skin-whitening condition that Michael Jackson said he suffered from.

Sosa denied he was trying to emulate the late King of Pop.

“Not at all, I respect him very much,” he said. “I’m not a racist. I’m not like that. I’m just a happy person.”

The Story Behind The Story: Chris Brown Versus Rihanna Assault & Album Sales

I have had my share of grief because people feel like I favor Chris Brown, thus I support domestic violence. Not sure how they come to that leap, but those are the accusation many of us who have asked the media to slow down and be fair, have received. I don’t condone domestic violence against women, or against men. I don’t think anyone no matter how weak they are should hit anyone else. (Glad we got that out the way).

Behind the scenes there is a war of truths going on, and it has been ignited with Rihanna’s interview with Diane Sawyer. The problem is that there is a big “gap” and huge “hole” between the time that Rihanna admits to finding a text message that proved Chris Brown was cheating, until the time Chris Brown started assaulting her. All Rihanna has said about that gap is that it escalated, but she doesn’t say how it escalated. Chris closest friends maintains that he is a good guy, and that Rihanna “knows” what she did during this “gap” in the story, and that it was completely foul and will certainly turn public opinion against her. Friends of both parties just want Rihanna to tell the “whole” story. So many people in Chris Brown’s camp want to speak out so bad that they have taken to twitter of all places to defend him:

In the history of their relationship, Chris Brown has not initiated a violent act against Rihanna. Each time a situation of violence has occurred, it was initiated by Rihanna and Chris Brown has always managed to control or redirect his anger.

People who claim to be closest to Chris Brown say the Rihanna interview was a media stunt, and that she was forced by her handlers to say certain things in the interview to restore her career, and to destroy that of Chris Brown. They also maintain the truth will come out oneday. I don’t know what’s true, but I do know the year began with Chris Brown and Rihanna and the year will end with Chris Brown and Rihanna.

Please Note: Chris Brown has taken full responsibility for the assault, and has not charged Rihanna with any wrongdoing. He has chosen to not talk about any of the details that lead to the assault. I don’t know if that was for legal reasons, or out of love for Rihanna.

This is about to get messy…

That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with. So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.

You listen to this interview it will put some things in perspective for you. I always say, we behind the blogs get so wrapped up in the story that we forget there are actual human behind the celebrity. I must say I am so proud of Rihanna for finally speaking out, it’s always better late than never, and not only does she speak out, she seems quite honest and forthcoming. This interview is more detailed than what inside “sources” lead us to believe (almost made drop a tear). Although she doesn’t go into great detail, in part two she says a lot more about that night than what Chris Brown had to say. I am still suspect that her team decided to speak out before an upcoming album, it would have meant a lot more to me, if the interview wasn’t linked to a promotion. But like I said late, it’s always better than never…

It’s completely normal to go back. It’s not right. I learned the hard way, but again, this is what I want people to know. When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for going back.Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say that they won’t kill these girls? These are young girls and I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened.

Rihanna first interview regarding the assault has just been released. In an interview with Glamour Magazine, she talks about her career, her personal life, and the embarrassing moments that began the night before the Grammy’s, specifically the infamous assault, and the photo leaks. As I told you yesterday, she will not talk about the details of that night for legal purposes, but she does touch on how that night changed her. Rihanna will be honored by Glamour Magazine at Women of the Year on Monday at Carnegie Hall in NYC. (I am so happy she spoke out, I just didn’t want this to be swept under the rug, without addressing the young fans. I’m going to ignore the fact that she has an album coming out, and believe in my heart that she has done this because she felt it was time…)

Glamour: Let’s talk about this past year—you’ve obviously been through some difficult things. How did the people around you help you cope?

Rihanna: My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.

Glamour: Are you referring to the [Chris Brown] incident?

Rihanna: I am talking about starting with the night [before] the Grammys and then on. That was not the only thing that occurred this year. The picture leaking…it was one thing after another.

Glamour: You’re talking about the photo [reportedly of Rihanna’s injured face taken by police after Brown assaulted her] that was allegedly leaked by cops. You handled that so well; you kept silent in the press.

Rihanna: It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

Glamour: How has this event changed you as a person, as a woman?

Rihanna: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.

Glamour: If you could offer a message to the millions of young women who look up to you, what would you tell someone who found herself in a similar situation?

Rihanna: Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.

Glamour: Is it too early for you to think, I want to be in love, I want to have a family? Is that too far down the road?

Rihanna: I hope I find love in the next 10 years—that will be pretty annoying if I am 31 and still have never been in love! But yeah, I’d like to be in a great place in both my personal life and my career. I still want to be doing what I love. Whatever that is in 10 years, I don’t know.

This one is for the ladies and especially Absolute Brook. I don’t know at what point in his career that Jay-Z became eye candy, but if you let women on twitter tell it, he should be on the cover of GQ monthly. I’m thinking he became a sex symbol when we found out he was worth more than $300 million, or when Beyonce snatched him up and he became unavailable. However, if you let the ladies tell it, they have been down with Jay-Z from the beginning.

Anyway Jay-Z hit up MOD in Toronto. In case you didn’t know, MuchOnDemand (MOD) is like Canda’s version of TRL or 106 & Park.

Good Morning America: Thursday 7AM ET; 20/20 Friday Night 10PM ET

The headline says “Now For the Very First Time Rihanna Tells Her Story.” You have to read the tag lines carefully, it says Rihanna will tell “her” story and not “her side” of the story. What does that mean; that could mean anything. Not once did it say Rihanna will talk about that awful night with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. I am definitely going to watch just to see what she will say, but I have to tell you I have a “suspect” feeling, that this is more of an interview about her music career, and not about her “private” life.

We will all tune in, only to find out that legally due to the plea deal Rihanna is not allowed to discuss the merits of the case. Something also tells me that she will admit that she still has feelings for Chris Brown, and that the night of the assualt changed her and shaped her new album. Spike Lee Jealous Of Tyler Perry Success; Tyler Perry Responds

You know you have arrived when Spike Lee belittles your films’ success. In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Tyler Perry addressed the comments in which Spike Lee compared Tyler Perry films and TV shows to Amos and Andy. Not only did he compare it to slap stick racist humor, he also used “baffoonery” and “coonery” as additional descriptions of Perry’s work. Now if Spike Lee would have picked on “Who’s You Caddy” then I wouldn’t raise an eyebrow. But Tyler Perry started in the theater with plays, and built a loyal following with his body of work. His plays were so successful that he was able to sell them on DVD, and claim 3 top ten spots for his sales. Naturally he decided to make a movie, and has been going ever since.

I would love to read that to my fan base. Let me tell you what Madea, Brown, all these characters are are bait. Disarming, charming, make-you-laugh bait, so I can slap Madea in something and talk about God, love, faith, forgiveness, family, any of those things, you know. So yes, I think, you know, that pisses me off. It really does.

It’s so insulting. It’s attitudes like that that make Hollywood think that these people do not exist. And that’s why there’s no material speaking to them, speaking to us.

Spike Lee problem is that he doesn’t no how to end his movies, and even if they start out exploring some deep socialogical issue, they lack a connection to real people. Where as Tyler Perry is able to capture the essence of real people, and real problems. Everytime you watch a Tyler Perry movie, you are shaking your head because you know someone like Madea. Maybe Spike Lee doesn’t have any Madea’s in his family or neighborhood, and every member of his family are deep philosophical people without a connection to reality, but to the surreality.Similar Posts:

I just received a tweet from CocoaBella, and did you know in order to book Drake for an appearance you have to come off $60,000. I mean didn’t he just come out this year. No hate, I’m glad he’s worth it to y’all promoters, but aren’t we in a recession right, now? He’s not the only one demanding the moneys, Gucci Mane’s price is $66,000. I love me some Gucci Mane, but that’s a lot for a club appearance in the hood. I don’t care how much Hennessey and Crown you sell at the bar it’s not worth it. But check this out Maxwell in contrast only requires $35,000 and he has four albums, and Keri Hilson only requires $28,000.

Teyana Taylor is a ride or die chick for Chris Brown. When all of the so-called friends of Chris Brown turned their backs the moment Chris Brown fell of his pedestal (more like beat his ex-girlfriend); instead of having his back, his so called “friends” bailed on him, and kicked the poor brother while he was down. Here’s what Teyana Taylor told Vibe:

A lot of people were jumping on different bandwagons and I really felt like that was wack. Before the incident between him and Rihanna, Chris had always been my brother. When we met we clicked instantly from our fashion styles to our love of basketball to dancing to everything. I’ve known him for four years and I was one of the only people that stood by his side when the situation happened. When he gets back to where he used to be, a lot of people are going to come running back and smiling in his face. He knows who really are his friends. I think stuff like this happens to really show you who really cares about you.

Something tells me she will be there to make sure none of the groupies get in his face either…

Tameka and Usher divorce is final, at least that what’s the court says, but Tameka Foster says she and Usher are still married. I don’t know if you watch Desperate Housewives (no not Real Housewives of Atlanta) but Tameka is acting like Katherine right now, thinking she’s going to get Mike (Usher) back from Susan (Deaf Jam Mistress).

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the “papers” say marriage “disposed”. Meaning marriage dissolved, meaning “legally” Tameka and Usher are divorced, even if “mentally” Tameka says their still together.

However, Tameka may have truth on her side. In her defense, the divorce papers are marked wrong, and Tameka and Usher are still technically “married” according to the lawyer.

Answer: NOT DIVORCED

It’s nice to see Solo doing her thang; On Oprah earlier this week, on Honey mag the next. The singer talks her dad, Wale and her son Juelz.

During the shoot, you said a lot of people ask about your dad and make that assumption that he’s the strict one and you said it’s really your mom who doesn’t play.
It’s interesting that people think that my dad is the one who’s all strict. They build up quite a character with that guy, and at the end of the day it’s my mom who’s going to give you the neck roll.

Well, speaking of assumptions. I think a lot of people have been zeroing in on Twitter convos between you and a certain Mr. Wale, automatically linking the two of you together. Then we see Central Park photos…
Riiiight.

Whether we’re rooting for it or not… we just want to know.
Well, he’s definitely not my boyfriend.

Well, we can cross that off the list.
No, I just stated that he’s not my boyfriend, but we are good friends. I have worked with him in the past and I think he’s uber-talented. I think he’s really smart and really creative. And I respect his art. We have a mutual thing. We’re on the same record label and yeah…

Do you have any advice to industry moms in particular, or just young working moms who still want to be themselves?
I think balance is the essential key to motherhood. I think it’s a really hard rhythm to find, but if you learn how to capture it, it makes the rewards so beautiful. I try not to ever be away from him unless he’s with his dad. We have equal custody, so we work together on it, but it definitely gets hard when I have all these opportunities coming at me. I have to say no to a lot of things because at the end of the day I know that no matter how many awards or accolades or praise or money I get, the one thing that really is a judgment of me is what kind of mother I am. A lot of people feel like their life has to stop because of the child, and they have to let go of their interests. You definitely have to compromise some of them, but I’ve been really blessed. When I went to see Grace Jones, Julez was right there with me. Julez is right there with me when I go for my bike rides. And when I go on tour, he’s with me. And I feel so blessed to be in the position to do that.

Does he realize when he’s doing these things that Mommy’s not the average mommy — going on tour, going to do this and that.
He does now. I don’t think he realized it in the beginning, but the good thing is that he’s humble about it. If I ever see that he’s not, he will get snapped back before he can blink his eyes.

Now when Whitney Houston was on Oprah, I felt she wasn’t tell the whole truth about her drug use, and blamed everything on Bobby Brown. I don’t think Whitney came clean, and I could probably understand why. Bobby Brown on the other hand admitted to not only doing drugs like cocaine, but heroin as well. He said he doesn’t remember 5 years of his life because he spent it so high. Most importantly, this time he quit cold turkey, because rehab failed him three times. Anyway you can see for yourself…

Destiny Child Rumors has an exclusive interview with Lyndell Locke, Beyonce’s ex-boyfriend. You know, the guy she dated before Jay-Z. There have been several pregnant rumors about Beyonce and none of them have been proven. It’s not like she will ever come out and tell us if they’re true or not, unless she writes a tell-all-memoir when she’s gray. Anyway, rumors have suggested that Beyonce was pregnant by Lyndell Locke, and that she had an “abortion” when she was a teen. I do think that is a question that’s off limits. Honestly, it’s just a bit too personal for my taste, but Mr. Locke addresses the issue:

SG: Glad to hear that. How did you meet Beyonce?
LL: We were very young in our teens. From the same area in Houston. We knew eachother a long time. We were very close and very good friends. (silence)

SG: Ok, Define friends.

LL: (laughs) We would go out together, I would take her to the movies or we would eat out. Normal things teenage kids do. It was “puppy” love.

SG: Are the rumors true that you got Beyonce pregnant and she had to have an abortion?

LL: You know, when I heard this rumor I was really upset by it. Unfortunately, at the time I was not able to speak on it and people were allowing the speculation to go around. Beyonce as far as I know did not have an abortion.

SG: So you and Beyonce did have a sexual relationship?

LL: No comment

SG: Who were some people?

LL: I’m still not allowed to say. But trust me there was and still is.

SG: You sound slightly bitter about the situation.

LL: I am slightly. I am sure if other people do not get involved Beyonce and I would still probably be together. At least be in contact.

Bobby Brown reveals more secrets about his life and his relationship with Whitney Houston for an upcoming episode of Behind The Music on VH1. In the interview, according to AOL Blackvoices, Bobby Brown talks about his tumultuous marriage to singer Whitney Houston:

I think we corrupted each other. I don’t think she hurt me or I hurt her in any way. I just think we had a 14-year marriage that had its ups and downs, and not many people understood it.

Brown also reveals the reason he abused drugs and alcohol:

I used an awful lot, can’ take that back! Cocaine, it’s a powerful drug.I just think I was bored. I had just gotten married, and things [weren't] right and I turned to alcohol and drugs.

The most shocking thing in the interview was learning that he had a past relationship with Janet Jackson, and that relationship also lead to him drinking to cope:

Before I met Janet [Jackson], I would never drink hard liquor, I only drank beer. But after our break up, I started drinking hard liquor abundantly. I took the way our relationship ended very hard. Not to say we were head over heels in love, but she was someone I had a lot of feelings for.

Besides, we were young and naive. I was only about 19 or 20 years old. Young love is no joke!

Janet is right, she has been fortunate that many of the people she dated didn’t tell her business. She has been linked to a lot of men in the industry and that hasn’t even discussed their relationship with Janet. [Source]

If I wasn’t signed to MCA, it could have been me, which I believe Puff would have wanted. But I understand Puff is a businessman, so he had to go get his First Lady, which I understand. It took me a couple of years to understand, but you know, after a while I was like, “Oh, okay. He had to do that,” because he didn’t have a female artist over there.

People tend to forget just how long Mary has been in the game so I can understand people wanting to gain knowledge from her experiences. Glad to see she’s still doing her thing.
