She acts, she sings, she dances, she designs, she mothers, she sisters, she wifes, she is the biggest star in the world and what she is not busy writing history, she is making it. Beyonce is seemingly unstoppable. Yesterday it was announced she was the most nominated artist at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and today we learn she is yet again making history…rock and roll history! Get this: on Tuesday, July 22, the 32-year-old will become the first artist to be featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Legends of Rock exhibit without having been inducted yet.
Hopefully this accolade will hold Beyonce and her army of fans over because due to technicalities and requirements held by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Beyonce will be eligible for induction in 2022 as a Destiny’s Child member, and in 2027 as a solo artist.
The exhibit will heavily favor a tribute to the singer’s eclectic fashion history.
Ciara is constantly reinventing herself. The singer/dancer took to Instagram yesterday to reveal the new hairstyle and to evidently build momentum for the slew of new projects she has in the works. The sexy mama, 28, has traded in her long blonde bob for a head of striking blonde and brunette dreadlocks. See the bold new look below:
Followed with the caption, ”Back 2 Work and Im Obsessed…:)” the singers social media page set ablaze with the singer’s loyal fans celebrating the new look. No doubt the singer has a lot on her plate currently as Ciara is said to be in the midst of planning her wedding and readying a new album, which she has already gone on record in saying would be her best work yet.
The new locks were most likely inspired by her future husband rapper Future. The couple welcomed their first child together, Future Zahir Wilburn, on May 19.
This mama certainly is not slowing down! She has a lot of future in her future!
Lupita Nyong’o is on a role. The stunning actress has had a breakout year, one for the history books and it seems things are not slowing down anytime soon for her. Beyond her captivating acting talent Nyong’o has been equally celebrated this year for her progressive, daring fashion choices. The Oscar winner and Vogue have delivered one stunning cover.
The historic cover shows the actress, 31, in a figure-hugging printed Prada dress from the designer’s Fall 2014 RTW collection. Inside, the actress talks about her remarkable year and details how it has altered her life. It’s important to note, Lupita becomes only the second black woman to ever grace the cover of the magazine. The other was Ethiopian model Liya Kebede. Still, this isn’t Nyong’o’s first time nabbing the cover of a major publication. In April, she took the title of “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” and the cover of People.
Here’s to hoping such a poised and talented artist continues to flourish both personally and professionally. Go Lupita, go!
Actress Kerry Washington flaunted her flawless post-baby bod on the red carpet this past week looking as stunning and demure as ever. The new mama made her first post baby appearance at the Women In Film 2014 Crystal Lucy Awards after giving birth to her baby daughter, Isabel Amarachi on April 21.
The glowing mom, who was presented at the gala with the Lucy Award by Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes, was a summertime vision in a Max Mara cocktail dress with a black short-sleeve top that has a plunging neckline and a multicolored, abstract bottom.
The notoriously very private star walked the carpet with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha, the NFL star, who looked dapper in a suit.
Cheers to Kerry for looking absolutely phenomenal just a handful of months after giving birth!
Summer is here and our favorite starlets are letting their beach bodies shine (bright like a diamond). The trend this week is most certainly ‘less is more’ in the world of fashion as both Nicki Minaj and Rihanna stepped out in the last 24 hours leaving little to the imagine.
Last night on stage at the Hot 97 Summer Jam in New York Minaj’s bosoms were on ‘Massive Attack’ in a sheer, metallic chainmail crop top. The Pills N Potions rapper gave fans a full view of everything as the top layed above silver, star-shaped pasties.
Tonight Ri Ri perhaps even outdid Ms. Minaj by showing up to the CFDA Fashion Awards Monday night at New York’s Lincoln Center in a completely sheer dress from head to toe, from font to back.
The only thing that was covered up was her head! The revealing number was designed by Adam Selman and contains 216,000 Swarovski crystals. You must know, the CFDA Awards are very much considered the ”Oscars of fashion,” a place where risks are often celebrated and Rihanna most definitely has secured her nomination as a ‘fashion risk-taker’. Check out more photos below of the two divas:
I know you’ve noticed that I haven’t covered ANY of the Kimye Wedding Palooza. I wish them the best of luck, and happiness in a very hard industry to stay happy. I pray all of the money is well spent with many years to come. On an even more positive note, I LOVE Kim’s wedding dress by Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy. The bride looks gorgeous, and the dress is simply beautiful.
That’s all I’m saying and writing about his here’n wedding. More pics below when you continue reading…Staying positive, yes I am…
