It’s not who was there, is more like who wasn’t there!!! Everyone from Jennifer Hudson to Gabrielle Union to lost and found folks like Elise Neal, Golden Brooks, and Morris Chestnut. The red carpet was burning with so much support for Steve Harvey’s book turned movie, Think Like A Man, starring Meagan Good, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Jerry Ferrara, Taraji P Henson, Gabrielle Union, Romany Malco, Terrence J, and an appearance by Chris Brown.

So imagine all of these cast members and their celebrity friends and family, and you have one fun movie premiere night full of black celebs. Think Like A Man will be coming to theater near you, April 20th.

Ne-Yo and his baby mama, Monyetta Shaw hit up Magic City in Atlanta for a little his and her spectator fun. Not only was Ne-Yo making it rain, he was also passing stacks to his fiance, Monyetta Shaw, so that she can make it rain rain, too. Truth be told, if I was Monyetta Shaw, I would have slipped half on those stacks into my purse while Ne-Yo wasn’t looking. All in all, the couple spent about $5000 at Magic City, straight tipping. It is reported that Ne-Yo and Monyetta didn’t have anything to drink.

What could have been a perfect farewell to Ms Etta James, ended as one of the most embarrassing moments EVER for singer Christina Aguilera. Honestly, I thought I would be here typing about a wardrobe malfunction because I was scared Christina’s boob would pop out of that dress in front of Jesus, but instead I am writing about the mystery fluid that resembled blood streaming down Christina’s leg while she performed At Last on stage during James’ funeral. I really don’t know if Christina Aguilera started bleeding on stage, SMH that would be every woman’s worst nightmare. Honestly, I believe Christina Aguilera was sweating and her spray on tan stained the sweat as it streamed down her legs, thus the reason she was wiping it off below. You can’t wipe blood off your leg like that, can you? *shrugs* So I think the mystery is solved, at least I hope it’s stained sweat.

No one knows exactly what that fluid is flowing down Christina’s legs, but any liquid falling out of a skirt, will not be perceived as a good thing in the age of the “intanets”. What do you think? Octavia Spencer (The Help) wins Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, Morgan Freeman wins Cecil B. DeMille award, and Idris “Yas” Elba (Luther) wins Best Actor in a Miniseries or Made-for-TV Movie at the 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards in Beverly Hills. I was hoping Viola Davis could round out the win with a Best Actress in Drama for her role in The Help, but the award went to Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady), who is arguably one of the best actress of our time. It’s hard to beat Meryl Streep!

Last night in Los Angeles, WE tv and the cast of Braxton Family Values, held a special dinner and screening to promote season two of Braxton Family Values. During the dinner, the Braxton family revealed a few surprises. Miss E, Mama Evelyn Braxton, is engaged. Toni Braxton was unable to attend due to a flare-up from her battle with lupus. She sent her love from the hospital. Trina talked about “cheating” on her husband, plus their continued marital problems which includes a legal separation. (Drum roll please)…Tamar and Vince are getting a spin-off.

Is it me, or does this feel stalker-ish? Why would someone want to see the inside of the hospital room where Beyonce delivered Baby Ivy? It’s still a hospital! BUT that didn’t stop TMZ from getting the exclusive. Most hospital rooms where you deliver or pretty nice if you have great insurance, but this hospital room resembles a hotel room at the W. I guess Lenox Hill Hospital is trying to corner the market on rich people giving birth in NYC. Check out the pics below:

Lenox Hill Hospital constructed a suite for VIPs which looks like a Four Seasons penthouse … and the room was christened Saturday when Beyonce gave birth.

TMZ has obtained photos of the room where Blue Ivy came into this world, and it’s baller. There are 4 flat screen TV’s, state of the art electronics, a kitchenette, nice art, mahogany walls and plush furnishings. And take a look at the bed where Jay Z got some shut eye!

Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ … the suite was not constructed specifically for Beyonce, but it was always intended that Beyonce would be the first patient to use it. {Inside Beyonce’s Luxury Delivery Room}

Joyful Noise is a star-studded movie featuring Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, and KeKe Palmer, about a small time choir in Pacashau, Georgia. The city of Pacashau, Georgia has fallen on some hard times and the citizens of Pacashau are hoping the choir can win a gospel competition, National Joyful Noise Competition. The two leaders of the choir played by, Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, have different visions for the choir– one traditional and the other more contemporary– which leads to constant fighting. But in the end, with a budding romance between their daughter and grandson, the two women find away to bring their visions together.

I am loving Paula Patton in the mini-denim like jumper.

CONFIRMED: Beyonce & Jay-Z Welcome Baby Girl, Blue Ivy…For REAL This Time!

Beyonce and Jay-Z finally welcome their baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. We knew it was a girl!!! Beyonce delivered the baby girl last night via c-section at Lenox Hill Hospital (in a private wing of the hospital under the alias of Ingrid Jackson). This time, we know the delivery rumors are true because close friends such as Russell Simmons, Gwyneth Paltrow, Solange Knowles and Rihanna have all confirmed the birth via twitter. Plus, E! News, which is a lot more creditable than MTO, reported the birth early this morning.

In a rush to get the story out many news outlets have reported the baby’s name as Ivy Blue, but it’s actually Blue Ivy. Gwyneth Paltrow also confirms the baby’s name and clears up the confusion in the media:

I am so excited, and I can’t wait to see pics!!! I guess all of the baby-bumpers will have use their imagination since they think all of this is fake. Why can’t ya’ll let this baby be great!!!

As for me, I can’t wait to see the baby, and I hope Beyonce is doing well after her C-section. Congrats Carters! Also, here are few more details according to NY Daily News for those that are interested in reality of the birth:

A very pregnant Beyoncé had checked into the upper East Side hospital on Friday night under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” a hospital staffer told the Daily News.

Beyoncé and her hip-hop hubby, whose real name is Shawn Carter, rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million, the employee said.

On Saturday night, people were seen bringing bags of takeout and a dozen bottles of red wine onto the heavily guarded hospital wing.

After 11 p.m., even doctors and nurses were barred from entering the fourth floor, prompting one doc to complain that he had patients to see.

In an effort to keep images from leaking to the public, hospital workers placed tape over security cameras and are forcing employees to turn in cell phones when they arrive for their shifts, a source said.

Several security guards were spotted patrolling the perimeter of the hospital Saturday night. {Source}

I doubt Beyonce and Jay-Z spent $1.3 million on privacy. Maybe the hospital will receive a “donation” in the future, if all goes well and no pictures are leaked. But, at least you get the gist.

Lastly, people need to stop analyzing the baby’s name. Not even 24 hours old, and people are linking Baby Blue Ivy to the Illuminati and all sorts of crazy theories. Just be happy for Beyonce and Jay-Z and Blue for a moment, with no hate attached. Just try!!!Similar Posts:

So yesterday, I was giving the side eye to VH1 for the headlining lineup. And I was really hoping that it wouldn’t be as bad as I was thinking it would be…and…*sigh* Gone are the days when VH1 Divas was something to really get excited about. In small increments, the show was successful. For instance, The Roots did an outstanding job as the band for all the performers. Which I didn’t doubt at all. Jill Scott pulled the thug tears out of everyone far and wide with her performance of Hear My Call.

But there was just something, that didn’t curl all the way over, for the show as a whole. I mean, when you have ?uestlove of The Roots already tweeting in attempts to control the slander? Diggy Simmons has been spreading Christmas love all over New York City, while doing several holiday charity events. Diggy made an appearance at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, visiting the bedside of kids who will be spending Christmas in the hospital this year. The young Simmons took time out to past out gift bags, and take pictures with his young fans. After leaving the children’s hospital, Diggy Simmons stopped by the St. Jude Holiday party at Brooks Brothers, where he decorated cookies, ornaments, and Christmas cards with the young patients of St. Jude. Nice to see young kids giving back.

BTW, Diggy is growing up fast; he’s tall and skinny now. More pics when you continue…

Last week the show featured a special performance from Tyrese, and this week we will see Angie Stone in action. The episode featuring Angie Stone airs Thursday, December 8th at 10 PM CT, on TV One. Spoken word artists will include Bone Crusher, Prentice Powell, Professor Ray Grant, and Hill Harper will host along with Cathy Hughes.

Obviously growing up in the spotlight isn’t easy, but these young women have managed to do so in a positive manner.

The 2011 Grammy Nomination Concert was held live last night at Nokia Theater in LA, hosted by LL Cool J. The concert included a special performance of The Message, originally recorded by Grandmaster Flash and Furious Five, with Rappers Common, LL COOL J, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, along with the original group members Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, and Scorpio.

Actors, Taraji P Henson and Taylor Lautner, announced the nominations for the 2012 Grammy Awards. Kanye West leads the pack with seven nominations, followed by Adele, Bruno Mars, and the Foo Fighters with six nominations, and Lil Wayne garners five.

I’m also proud to announce that Cee-Lo Green, Chris Brown, Rihanna and Jay-Z have multiple nominations as well. TV One has a new exciting show, Verses & Flow, that combines spoken word with musical talent. Tyrese Gibson and Hill Harper are on set at the taping of the first episode in Atlanta at the King Plow Arts Center; the show will air on Thursday, December 1st at 10 PM CT on TV One.

Hill Harper hosts an evening with Tyrese Gibson who performs two songs, plus spoken word artists Gina Loring and Pharoahe Monch. With all the negative talk regarding reality shows like Basketball Wives, here’s a real authentic program that showcases the art of words, along with real talent. So I hope all of you will tune in to watch Thursday.

“Verses & Flow” is an 8-show, 30-minute variety show. Each episode will feature two poems and a musical performance. The series will capitalize on the resurgence of spoken word by highlighting some of the most prolific poets.
