Vivica A. Fox debuted a new look at the Men in Black 3 movie premiere in New York City. The actress who once played Will Smith’s love interest on the big screen and who now has her own wig line rocked a short ruffled pixie cut wearing all white which gave off a more youthful appearance.

Meanwhile, Jada Pinkett Smith shows off in a sexy shimmery see-through halter gown by Bill Blass. When does she ever NOT look good!

I am a fan of Janelle Monae, but I always wanted to see her in a dress or anything outside of a tux. I understand the tuxedo is her thing, but it also hides her figure. Last night she hit-up the Costume institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a satin jumpsuit. She looks amazing. Next to Beyonce, Janelle Monae is a red carpet hit, just because she switches up her style a tad bit, which goes to show, sometimes less is more.

Now if we can get another hair-do other than the signature pompadour. Just once…

Andre 3000 is set to take on the defining role of his life time. Andre 3000 is set to play the role of Jimi Hendrix in a new film, All Is By My Side. The film will begin shooting this month in Ireland, and you can read all about at Eurweb:

According to the Irish Film & Television Network (IFTN), the film, titled “All Is By My Side,” will document the guitar legend’s period in England from 1966 to 1967 as he created his iconic debut album. The feature, written and directed by John Ridley, is currently in pre-production in Wicklow, with principal photography set to begin in three weeks in both Wicklow and Dublin. The shoot is expected to last six weeks.

This weekend, the Hollywood and sports world came together at the Tribeca Film Festival’s premiere and gala for the ESPN Films screening of the upcoming documentary, “Benji”.

The team-less,Lamar Odom took time to do what he loves best… walk the red carpet. He cried and complained that one of the things he would miss after being cut from the LA Lakers would be the red carpet events and movie premieres. He’d rather be out getting his picture taken instead of playing basketball for the team he was traded to, the Dallas Mavericks, so I hope he is happy now. He was Kardashian-less at the premiere-uh oh.

Anyways, the premiere and gala hosted a great mix of film industry professionals and athletes. One of the greatest actors of all-time Robert De Niro-who founded the Tribeca Film Festival to bring the film festival experience to New York after September 11th-showed his support by attending the premiere. Here he is with the documentary’s directors, Coodie and Chike.

Also in attendance was one of the fastest men in the world, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, LaShawn Merritt of USA Track & Field who took a quick break from his Olympic training to attend Tribeca. Also, Super Bowl Champions Ahmad Bradshaw and Prince Amukamara of the New York Giants who showed support for the film.

If you are a fan of ESPN Films, you know they bring forth some of the most powerful sports stories ever. Benji goes back to 1984 when 17-year-old Ben Wilson was a symbol of everything promising about Chicago: a sweet-natured youngster from the city’s fabled South Side, and America’s top high school basketball prospect. Nicknamed “Magic Johnson with a jump shot,” Wilson’s natural talents and drive assured his best years were yet to come. Then, in November of his senior year, the career of this exceptional youngster was abruptly and tragically cut short. Ben’s grim fate sent ripples of horror through the city and the country.

As chairperson, she hosts the annual weekend for the Jenesse Center which is a domestic violence intervention program. Her signature event, the Halle Berry Celebrity Golf Classic, Auction and Awards Dinner brings in a variety of celebrities and community leaders who support the organization’s continued efforts to help families heal and re-connect.

Well she was one of the members of the Pussycat Dolls, to be more frank she was the black one. Melanie Thornton attended the ELLE Magazine’s Women in Music, you know the event that celebrates women’s achievement in music. What better way to celebrate women than to wear a dress that exposes your boobs? Not a nip-slip, not a side boob, but as Huffington Post puts it best, “full-frontal flashing of someone’s entire chest.”

Melody Thornton, who showed up to ELLE’s Women in Music event in Hollywood last night wearing a sheer dress with nary a pastie underneath. I don’t know if it is or isn’t and honestly I don’t care, Kim Kardashian will never draw the same publicity as the bald blond beauty, Amber Rose. While Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are “caught” on camera on a “date”, Amber Rose is busy planning her wedding to Wiz Khalifa, and Reggie Bush is kicking it at the Playboy mansion with a bunch of playmates during the four day Playboy Celebrity Golf Finals and Lingerie Party.

The course promised good times along with Playmates, Girls of Golf, food, drinks and plenty of fun in the sun. Evening events featured the Playboy Speakeasy at the Beverly Hilton and the legendary Playboy Golf Finals Pajama and Lingerie Party at the Playboy Mansion.

Naturi Naughton stays working. She joins the cast of the upcoming Lifetime drama series, “The Client List” for the show’s launch party at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, California.

According to Deadline.com, The Client List is based on the network’s 2010 original movie. The Sony TV-produced series stars Jennifer Love Hewitt as Riley, a Texas housewife who, after being deserted by her husband, ends up running a massage parlor, The Rub, which offers more than back rub. Naughton will play a new character, Kendra, a beautiful, hard-working masseuse at the parlor. Actress-singer Naughton, who co-starred in the 2009 feature remake of Fame, played Black bunny Brenda on NBC’s short-lived Playboy Club.

Loretta Devine also joins the cast.

Think Like A Man is coming to theaters on April 20th and the cast members are in full swing making sure Atlanta turns out to support this film based off of Steve Harvey’s book of the same title. Steve Harvey was on the radio yesterday bashing bloggers as losers, yet here we are helping with the promotion of this film O_0, but thankfully LaLa Anthony defended blogs as a great medium that keeps many entertainers relevant. So we will just ignore Steve Harvey because we know he’s mad about his ex-wife comments, and focus on this film that everyone is talking about.

Yesterday the cast made their media rounds to local radio stations, then they hit the red carpet for the Atlanta premiere at Regal Atlantic Station, and the night ended with an after party hosted by Crown Royal at Reign Nightclub. It was definitely a who’s who event as Steve Harvey, Tyler Perry, Michael Ealy, Gary Owen, Rainforest’s Rob Hardy, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, T.I., Nelly, Vanessa A. Williams, Egypt Sherrod, Ne-Yo, Tasha Smith, Terri J. Vaughn, Michael Jai White, Keshia Knight Pulliam just to name a few.

Here are few pics of the cast making their media rounds to local the colleges, Morehouse, Clark-Atlanta, and the Atlanta University Center. I will post the red carpet pics of the premiere NEXT!

On Location: Reporting from NBC’s #TheVoice First LIVE Show

We attended the live show for NBC’s The Voice in Burbank, California tonight and now that we are home, we’re watching it again as it airs for the West Coast viewers. Can you say addicted to The Voice?

First, I have to say that Christina Aguilera looked beyond great. She is starting to look like Christina not so much when she first hit the scene with “Genie in a Bottle”, but more so when Donatella Versace started to take Xtina under her wings. She is starting to become my Latina lady crush. During the commercial break, a fan proclaimed he had traveled from Brazil to see Christina. She wasted no time to walk half way across the stage to his side of the room to give him a hug. There was a collective “DAYUM” in the room when she got up because I don’t think anyone was expecting her to be shaped like a sistah (from the front side) if you know what I mean. She has slimmed down yet still has curves-I want to find her fitness trainer. I’m also loving her style this season. Speaking of style, Cee-Lo continues to keep the show exciting this time channeling Elvis.

Okay, now the show. Being a part of the live audience was amazing. If you love watching The Voice on television, just imagine our excitement of watching the show as it came together live. It is a big-budget production and the dancers and band are electrifying in person. You forget you are on a television show and feel more like at a concert. Like Christina said, it’s like the VMAs. Betty White was in the audience among the crowd of approximately 1,000 fans.

Our favorites tonight were Jermaine Paul with his rendition of Bon Jovi’s “Livin on a Prayer”. That song is just a classic no matter what genre of music you prefer. He rocked it! What a way to open a show. Also, that man is just gorgeous and I think R&B needs him.

I’m a little iffy on Sera Hill. I wasn’t feeling her version of Drake’s “Find Your Love”, but boy does she have a set of pipes. She can kill any song.

Of the most interesting performances tonight was Moses Stone. He blew me away with his performance. It was so refreshing to see someone who can mix singing and rap and not sound whiny, but do you think he can win The Voice with that shtick?

Jesse Campbell is like fine wine. He took me there singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. Can’t you imagine seeing him perform somewhere like the Grammys. Adam says he’s the dude to beat…we agree! So now I’m thinking its between him and Jermaine. This is tough.

At the show, it seems like the fan favorites were from #TeamBlake. His group is definitely diverse this year, but I can’t wait to see whether America agrees. Tuesday night is the live elimination show with a new twist this year in which the fans get to vote.

Ledisi, Kenny Latimore, LeToya Luckett, Keisha Knight-Pulliam, Michelle Williams, Malinda Williams, Bun B, Beverly Johnson, and India. Arie were all in attendance to at the star-studded symposium, Intimate Conversations with Greatness. The goal of the symposium according to Coach Beverly Kearney, who has been honored by BET and CNN for her excellence in education, is to give students an opportunity to understand the hard work that goes into being successful:

…annual mentorship program, which encourage real-life reality as it relates to our speakers sharing how they transitioned through failure to success. Our students need the truth of struggle to success – not just the glitz and glamor.

Singer Ne-Yo joined NBA’s greatest Michael Jordan for his 11th Annual Celebrity Invitational Gala at the Aria Resort & Casino Friday night in Las Vegas. Inside, he performed for guests and comedian Cedric the Entertainer provided music and laughter on stage.

The celebrity invitational is a four-day golf tournament and celebration boasts incredible parties, A-list entertainment and competitive golf, is recognized as one of the best events of its kind. Also in attendance was actress Salli Richardson, Stuart Scott, Ken Griffey Jr. and Bob Johnson.

Founded in 2001, the MJCI is one of celebrity golf’s most popular events and has raised more than $6 million for various charities. The 2012 event beneficiaries include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The James R. Last night, Lexus held the Verses & Flow Live private event in Dallas, a unique event that was created to honor talented up and coming music artists and spoken word poets. I had the pleasure of being on location for this event and snapped a few pics along the way! The MC for the event was comedianne Ebony Steele, co-host of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. The highlight of the evening came when Lexus presented their 2012 Lexus Pursuit Of Perfection award to this year’s recipient, actress Gabrielle Union.

Recorded words of congratulations were shown, from actor Hill Harper, who was last year’s recipient, and Gabrielle‘s boyfriend NBA star Dwyane Wade (who sang a small bit of Vesta‘s Congratulations for Gabrielle, eliciting AWWWWWWs from the women in the crowd). During her acceptance speech, Gabrielle talked about the murder of Trayvon Martin, saying that she has had difficulty sleeping and forgetting the cries for help Trayvon made during the 911 phone call. As an avid activist in the fight against breast cancer, Gabrielle accepted her award on behalf of “those who continue to fight”, whether it be for justice, for cancer research or for life.
