Las Vegas judge sentenced him to 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence charge and no contest to two harassment charges. The case stemmed from a hair-pulling, punching and arm-twisting argument with his ex-girlfriend Josie Harris while two of their children watched in September 2010.

In the words of internet sensation (of sorts) Sweet Brown, “I SAID OH LAWD JESUS ISSA FIRE!!!” Just HOT MESS all around this story here.  Actor Terrence Howard was reportedly attacked by ex-girlfriend 39-year-old May Seng Yang at his home on May 6th, according to CBS Philly.  And to add a little bit more drama, Howard was at home with his current girlfriend at the time.

According to the police report, Yang parked her vehicle around the corner and out of sight of Howard’s residence. She then walked to the gated driveway and rang the bell, where she was met by Howard’s girlfriend. Howard eventually came outside, he says, because he heard a loud noise.

Howard stated that he opened the gate because he was concerned that the neighbors would be annoyed by the disturbance and hoped to calm Yang down and send her on her way. Howard and his girlfriend told police that as soon as the gate opened, Yang attacked Howard and hit him in the face. Police stated Howard’s nose showed signs of swelling.

According to Yang‘s attorney, Yang claims SHE was the one who was attacked.  However, on the police report, the officers note that Terrence and his girlfriend’s stories both matched up, while Yang‘s story and mannerisms seemed to be suspect.  SMDH!Similar Posts:

I try to ignore the racial comments about Trayvon Martin deserving to be killed because he looked like a thug. I ignore the claims that the media has hyped this case, although it began as a grassroots movement. I ignore the New Black Panther Party who think placing a bounty on Zimmerman is worth advocating in the year 2012. I even ignore the fact that an insensitive idiot thought it was humorous to put cross hairs on a hoodie, and sell it in honor of Trayvon Martin. But this new trend called “Trayvoning” isn’t something I can just ignore. Please come get your kids!

Planking is stupid, but for the most part it’s harmless fun unless you’re planking on a balcony 50 stories in the air and you fall. Trayvoning, however, just goes to show the depth of ignorance that comes in the age of social media. A teen was killed and his mother and father are still alive– mourning and grieving. Yet, teens are posting pictures of themselves in hoodies, playing dead next to some Skittles and Arizon Tea.

I agree with Clutch Magazine, whether or not you think Zimmerman was justified in his actions, I thought we all agreed that Trayvon’s death was an unnecessary tragedy. I guess now it’s more of a joke, or another twisted way of raising awareness for a case that already has a high profile. I give up! I refuse to believe there is such a thing…

I have been trying not to watch Basketball Wives, but after my twitter timeline lit up with comments about Tami’s behavior, I just had to have a sneak a peek. I ended up watching the whole episode like a crack-head. The show, however, didn’t feel right at all. My soul was hurting while watching Tami Roman bully Kesha over some comments Kesha made weeks ago that were not that serious and taken out of context. Last night after the show aired Tami issued a very weak public apology via twitter, claiming that she is not a bully. Perhaps, she doesn’t know what the word “bully” means:

Bully: a person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people.

Bully: a blustering browbeating person; especially: one habitually cruel to others who are weaker

Bully: bullying is intentional aggressive behavior. It can take the form of physical or verbal harassment and involves an imbalance of power (someone who is physically bigger or more aggressive)

By every definition of the word, Tami is indeed a bully, and what she did to Kesha was WRONG! I felt like a bully just watching Basketball Wives because there was nothing I could do to help Kesha, who clearly wasn’t trying to fight or engage in the drama. Tami looked like a grown man trying to fight a little kid. Anyway, after the show was over, Tami issued an apology via twitter. This show was filmed weeks ago, and Tami is just now issuing a public apology for stealing Kesha’s purse and bullying her. Why now, Tami? Anyway, check out the apology when you continue…

As a self professed super fan of Michael Jackson, I admit to having moments when I just instantly miss him and even tear up. Yup.  But I really can not imagine what his mother Katherine Jackson goes through everyday.  Especially as the guardian of his children, Paris, Prince Michael and ‘Blanket‘.  But tonight, Katherine will sit down with CNN’s Piers Morgan to discuss Michael and her life without him, including her feelings on Dr Conrad Murray.

Katherine has said that she’s never met Dr Murray nor, to her knowledge, has he ever reached out to meet her.  And she’s also expressed her feelings on his sentence, noting that she doesn’t think four years is long enough.  You can tell this will be a really emotional interview; she appears sad and teary eyed throughout the entire clip.  I don’t even know if I’ll be able to watch without shedding a tear or two. The case is over for now, even though there is a lengthy divorce proceeding ahead. Deion and Pilar Sanders have been cleared of domestic abuse charges, and the children will not have to take the stand. Pilar is not allowed to use corporal punishment as discipline on her children, unless she is spanking them on the bottom with her hand, due to other violent incidents with the boys. Deion will maintain custody of his sons at his Proper, TX Estate, and Pilar will get custody of their daughter and will need to find another place to stay. The fight is over, and Pilar will have to move out.

Deion Sanders leaves the court wheeling a giant statue, and when asked for a comment, he replies, “God is good!” According to Pilar and her friend, Dee Boswell, Deion uses the statue to hit Pilar over the head, smashing her thumb in the process. Deion and his lawyer brings the nearly six feet statue into the court to show how ridiculous Pilar’s version of the events are. Pilar also tells the court that Deion repeatedly choked her and threw her down stairs and against the glass doors. Given Pilar’s violent history, I don’t think the judge believes her version of events. However, the judge drops the domestic violent charges against Pilar because Deion wasn’t hurt nor did he suffer any pain. The judge calls the incident a simple assault.

Oh this just got more serious! The reason why Prosper, TX cops were so quick to arrest Pilar Sanders after the domestic abuse dispute at the Sanders’ home two weeks ago, is because three days prior Pilar locked her youngest son in the room with her and refused to let him out…even after cops arrived. When cops arrived she began screaming and yelling. They could hear the youngest child crying out for help before letting out a loud scream and being released:

He described an incident at the couple’s home on April 20. He said he and the boys had come back from Oklahoma and were picking up some clothes before heading back. He said Pilar wanted to see the couple’s younger son, so the boy went to her room. He testified that Pilar locked the boy in her room and wouldn’t let him out. Sanders said the boy was yelling, “Daddy, get me. Let me out of here.”

Deion said he called Prosper police. When officers arrived, they asked Pilar to open the door. She yelled at them and refused to open the door. Deion said that after 15 minutes, she cracked the door and his son could be seen wrestling to get out. She shut the door again. Deion said that after another 30 minutes, they heard his son let out a cry, and police demanded that she open the door.

The boy came out “holding his shoulder. He was hit again,” Deion testified. “I grabbed my son, we got in the car and left.” He said he couldn’t see what occurred in the room between his wife and his son. “I can only assume what happened.” {Source}

 

That’s not all, Pilar was also arrested for pulling two knives out, YES KNIVES, on Deion Sanders’ Aunt, Laura Jones:

Deion Sanders also testified about a confrontation in January when police were called after a fight between his aunt, Laura Jones, and Pilar. He said his wife ran out of the house with two knives in her hands and Jones’ dress, which she’d ripped off. After she dropped the knives, police handcuffed her and placed her in a squad car. Deion Sanders testified that he went to the car to see if she needed anything.

“She said, ‘Can you get me my shoes and some lip gloss?’ I said, ‘At a time like this you’re worried about your Ugg boots and lip gloss? This is pathetic,’ ” he testified.

He said he got her the boots but not the lip gloss. She was later released.

He briefly described an incident in early April when Pilar tried to snatch the couple’s son out of his room and he called police. Deion Sanders said his estranged wife also insulted his 18-year-old son late last year when he was visiting the couple’s home.

Deion Sanders took the stand this morning to testify in a protective order hearing extending from a domestic abuse dispute with his wife, Pilar Sanders, on April 23rd. According to Deion Sanders, wife Pilar became upset after finding out that Deion Sanders asked school administration to prohibit Pilar from picking up their 10-year old son from school, because the son was “scared to death” of his mother, who had become abusive.

When Pilar Sanders came home, Deion and his youngest son were in the closet packing for a trip. Pilar asked to see her son. After being told to wait, Pilar became irate and began screaming and yelling to see her son. Deion Sanders immediately called the police. Deion Sanders also said he was locked in his room, but eventually unlocked the door to talk with Pilar. He claimed that’s when Pilar knocked open the door and started kicking, biting, and scratching him. After a busted lip, Deion said he pinned Pilar’s arms to her side, screamed at her, “Get out of my house.” By this time police arrived and arrested Pilar Sanders.

After Deion finished his testimony, Pilar’s lawyer revealed she secretly recorded the incident O_0 (*whispers set-up*)…The lawyer asked Deion if he wanted to take anything back or change his story. Deion declined, and the tape confirmed much of his story. Check out what was revealed in the recordings…

The court listened to about 28 minutes of audio recorded by Pilar. She can be heard repeatedly asking to see her younger son because she hadn’t seen him in days. Her older son is pleading with her to leave. Then Pilar uses an expletive. She can be heard screaming multiple times, then there’s a crash, and Deion yelling over and over, “Get out of my house!” The yelling back and forth continues. Pilar calls him an adulterer, a punk and a little girl. He keeps repeating, “Get out of my house, please. Get out of my house.”

Prosper police arrive about 25 minutes into the recording. After the recording was played, Larry Friedman, Pilar’s attorney, asked Deion if he wanted to change his testimony. Deion said no. Friedman asked whether Deion hit his wife. Deion said no. The recording, he said, “validated everything I said.” {via Dallas News Crime Blog}

Deion testified that he and his 10-year-old son were in his closet packing for an out-of-town trip on April 23 when his oldest son came in, saying that Pilar wanted to see the younger son.

Deion Sanders said they’d be out soon.

Five minutes later, he testified, he heard his wife screaming, and the couple’s oldest son saying, “Mommy, no you told me you weren’t going to do this.”

When she came into the room, he testified, he asked her to get out.

“She started screaming and cussing me out as usual in front of the kids,” Deion testified.

He said he locked the door to keep her out and that she started kicking it, demanding to see their son.

Deion testified that he called 911.

He said he then opened the locked door a crack. “She kicked it really good and knocked it into my shoulder,” he said. “I grabbed her, turned her around, pinned down her arms and carried her out.”

He denied slamming her against a wall, denied choking her, and denied hitting her.

He said there was no glass broken, refuting earlier testimony from a piano teacher who said she heard glass break. He also said both boys were in his bedroom area during the confrontation.

He said Pilar was kicking as he put her down and that she knocked over a statue outside the door. He said Dee Boswell, a friend of his wife’s, was outside the door and surprised him. He said she had a camera phone, and he knocked it out of her hand.

Boswell then started hitting him, he testified. He said he stepped on her phone out of anger.

“I crushed it,” he said. “I stepped on it again.” He said he then threw it into the back yard.

Deion Sanders said he had recorded the April 23 incident. Pilar Sanders’ attorney Larry Friedman asked that he produce the recording. The judge overruled that request.

Now see, THIS is why people need to chill with what they’re rapping about.  Rapper Lil Boosie is set to go on trial in six days for first-degree murder and the judge has allowed prosecutors to use his rap lyrics against him, per Billboard. D’OH!

Lil Boosie is on trial for the murder of Terry Boyd.  Prosecutors claim that Lil Boosie hired Michael Louding to kill Boyd.  Louding, who’s accused of six different murders in Baton Rouge, Lousiana, confessed to the police that Boosie paid him $2800 to kill Boyd. SMH  During the pre-trial hearing, prosecutors flexed their legal muscle and presented Boosie’s lyrics before the judge:

His song, “187,” in particular, is under a lot of scrutiny. Lil’ Boosie recorded the controversial track with BG, another Louisiana rapper who has had his fair share of legal trouble. “Any n___a who ever tried to play me, they dead now,” Boosie raps in his first verse. The prosecution specifically noted the use of “187,” “murk,” and “cake” as slang terms commonly used to describe murder and money.

There’s a popular celebrity magazine out there that has a little segment called something like “They’re Just Like Us!”, in which they highlight every day things celebrities are caught doing.  I really hate that segment because it makes it seem like celebrities aren’t human.  But I guess sometimes people need to be reminded of that because it’s easy to put them on another level.  VH1 aired their Behind The Music special featuring Brandy last night, which went into a lot of areas Brandy has never really talked about before.  Specifically, she went into the 2006 fatal car crash that she was involved in, which resulted in the death of Awatif Aboudihaj.

I would hear what people would say, and still to this day they know that that’s a button. They know that they can call me a murderer or call me someone that killed someone. They know that is a button for me. A murderer is someone who premeditates it. I didn’t wake up that day to be involved in a fatal car crash.

I know on Twitter it seems as if there’s always a Brandy joke regarding the car crash at least once a week but this really put it into perspective for me.  It’s a very emotional and revealing segment of the special and quite honestly, it makes her human to me.  Not that she wasn’t before but I watched this and thought of what it would be like if I were in her shoes.  It’s a hard pill to swallow.  Check the video below:

According to the Metro Nashville Police, cops responded to Wiz’s room after someone complained about a strong odor of marijuana. When officers arrived to the scene, Wiz — real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz — allegedly tossed an item in hopes of hiding it from police. Cops say they retrieved the item — which turned out to be a small bag of ganja. Chris Brown is still awaiting the outcome of a Miami-Dade investigation where the singer is accused of stealing Christal Spann’s iPhone. Chris Brown was getting his life back in order, including a public reconciliation with Rihanna, plus two new duets also with Rihanna. Just when things were going great, Crystal Spann accused Brown of stealing her cell phone after she snapped a picture of the singer in the back of his limo. Since the allegation went public, Chris Brown has been under the radar, just reaching out to his fans via twitter. He has also pushed back his album release date, and he’s notably absent from the promotion circuit for Think Like A Man. Chris Brown’s future is in limbo pending the results of the Miami-Dade investigation, which can affect his probation in Los Angeles. The singer has managed to stay out of trouble for three out of the fives years of his probation, and hopefully things will work out for Team Breezy. New pictures of Chris Brown in Australia, show a young man who has lost a lot of weight, which is very noticeable in the face.

GOOD NEWS:  BUT, by his side is his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. The singer has other good news, he will be featured on the Today’s Show Summer Concert Series, hitting the stage June 8. His album Fortune will be released July 3rd. Last but not least, the singer turned businessman is selling puppies online. Pilar Sanders was not just transported to the hospital as TMZ claimed yesterday, she was also escorted to the county jail. Here’s the proof, a copy of her mugshot as tweeted by her step daughter, Deiondra. This picture redeems Deiondra, who has been trying to tell the media that Pilar Sanders is not what she seems. Pilar currently has a $200 million lawsuit against Deion and Deiondra, her step-child,  because of this twitter rant. Pilar claimed in court documents that she suffered, “severe personal injuries, emotional, abuse, mental distress and physical and financial damages,” due to Deiondra tweets. So she is suing Deion for $200 million. Sadly she’s only been charged with a misdemeanor and given $264 bond.

Remember when Pilar Sanders accused Deion Sanders of cheating with Tracey Edmons (who seems to have a thing for men going through a divorce). Either Pilar Sanders was telling the truth or she pushed Tracey and Deion together, because Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds stepped out on the red carpet looking very much like a couple during a New York event, Streetcar Named Desire. I wasn’t going to post the story because pictures do lie, but the fight allegations and police reports just added another level of OMG-oodness!

According to TMZ, the Sanders have police and fire and rescue outside of their Prosper, TX estate. Deion Sanders just called the cops on Pilar Sanders and one of her friends, Dee Boswell, for jumping him in front of his sons. However, according to reports Pilar Sanders is the one being transported to the hospital for “medical attention”. Not only did Deion Sanders call the cops, he tweeted about it, too. Deion Sanders‘ nuclear divorce has gone to DEFCON 2 because he just called police after his  estranged wife allegedly jumped him … and now he wants to see her locked up.

TMZ has learned there is a police car and a fire truck outside Deion’s home in suburban Dallas. We spoke with Deion … who told us Pilar Sanders was transported to the hospital after claiming she needed medical attention.

Deion tells us he was in his bedroom when Pilar busted in with a friend and began “kicking, biting, and scratching” him in front of his sons. He says he defended himself until he was able to call police.

Moments after the alleged attack … Deion tweeted, “Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I’m pressing charges!”

George Zimmerman’s team has released the bloody pics of his head that backs up Zimmerman’s claim that he was assaulted by Trayvon Martin, thus the reason he confronted, shot, and killed the teen walking home from 7-11 in the early evening not committing a crime.  It’s hard for me to not be biased in this case because I can’t understand how a teen walking home from 7-11, shortly after sunset, looks suspicious enough to kill. How suspicious can you look at 6:59 PM on a Sunday when everyone is home preparing for work and school? I would understand the “suspicion” more if the incident took place at 2 AM, but at 7 PM, that’s what teens do, walk to 7-11 to get some effin’ Skittles and tea.

Anyway, whatever happens after George Zimmerman exits his vehicle, leads to a fight or a “struggle”. Sounds like Zimmerman is losing from his testimony and feels he has to shoot Trayvon Martin to save his life, the life Zimmerman puts in danger by ignoring the dispatcher and exiting his vehicle to follow an unknown “man”. Another surprising factor is that Zimmerman is granted a $150,000 bond today, despite the nature of the crime and past violent cases, including assaulting cops. I don’t know how I feel about it. The bond should at least been set higher, but it is what it is. This is the same state that couldn’t convict Casey Anthony, so I don’t know how much faith I have in the prosecution of the Trayvon Martin case. But at least the case is no longer behind closed doors…

Me:How did you feel after watching this episode?

Jennifer: I honestly could not watch this episode; I have never been hit before. It particularly saddens me to know people condone this type of behavior and glorify violence.

Me: I know you have been working on seeking justice in this situation. How has it been working with your Attorney Sandy Rubenstein and The National Action Network?

Jennifer: Just because I did not fight back physically doesn’t mean I am not fighting back. I am doing this the right way and fighting back using our justice system. Sandy Rubenstein is my civil attorney in NYC and Sabrina Puglisi is my criminal attorney in Florida. The National Action Network has been a tremendous help in assisting me with this issue.

Me: If you could say one thing to the young people that watched last night’s episode, what would it be?

Jennifer: My advice to young people that watched last night’s episode is please do not think violence is the answer.

George Zimmerman has definitely been feeling the stress from the Trayvon murder case. Since the release of the police video, it looks as though George Zimmerman has lost weight. The picture we are use to seeing of a thick George Zimmerman in orange is from a mugshot in 2005 after he was arrested for assaulting a cop, or was it domestic violence, or perhaps disorderly conduct. Whoa, 2005 was not a good year for George Zimmerman. Anyway, this is the new slimmer George Zimmerman who has lost a lot of weight since the February video and even more weight since 2005.

It’s hard to type this because I am just grateful someone finally made a decision, and while waiting on that decision, I have seen the WORST in humans BUT thank God, I have seen the BEST, too. George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin back in February, by his own omission. Instead of investigating the death of the 17 year-old unarmed teen who was killed just yards away from his second home, the local detectives and prosecutors decided to not press charges based solely on George Zimmerman’s claims of self defense.  Since then the case has garnered national attention, along with media hungry opportunist not worth mentioning, but the many people who truly believed in justice for Trayvon remained steadfast in their protest and ignored the blatant attempts to paint Trayvon Martin as black gansta-thug.

Today there is good news. Conservative Prosecutor Angela Corey, just announced that Zimmerman will be charged with second degree murder. Honestly, I think it’s high burden to meet from what has been leaked, but there must be something in the evidence that suggests this crime is more than just self-defense or manslaughter. Secondly, Zimmerman turned himself in and at this moment no bond has been set.

•  5:02 PM CT: Corey is introducing the team of investigators and others involved. “I can tell you we did not come to this decision lightly.”
•  5:03 PM CT: “We do not prosecute by public pressure” but on the laws and the evidence.
•  5:04 PM CT: Defendant’s rights will be protected as well as those of the victim. “We will continue to seek the truth throughout this case.”
•  5:05 PM CT: It’s second-degree murder. They don’t seem to have him in custody as had been reported.
•  5:06 PM CT: Scratch that, Zimmerman is in custody.
•  5:08 PM CT: Zimmerman turned himself in and was arrested. Corey gets testy when asked why it took this long for charges.
•  5:10 PM CT: Currently there is no bond, though a bond hearing may be held in future. Returning to the investigation’s timeline, “The only slight delay is the fact that the governor stepped in and appointed us.”

…and the saga continues. It’s unclear which substance the singer was under, but Bobby Brown was indeed arrested for driving under the influence of something near LA. As I type this story, his people are on their way to bail him out of jail. I hope this doesn’t affect the New Edition concert in Houston, TX on Sunday, not trying to be selfish but I love me some New Edition plus Bobby Brown, and I have been waiting for this reunion for over 10 years now. *don’t judge me*

Bobby Brown has just been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobby was pulled over in Reseda, CA at 12:20 PM PST for allegedly driving while talking on a cell phone.

We’re told 43-year-old Bobby is currently in custody in Van Nuys jail. It’s unclear what substance cops believe Brown had been using before he got behind the wheel.

Whitney Houston‘s ex-husband already has a DUI conviction on his record stemming from an arrest in Georgia in 1996. He eventually pled guilty to DUI and served 8 days in jail.
