LOS ANGELES – Chris Brown won praise from a judge Thursday for keeping up with the terms of his punishment for beating Rihanna. “Excellent,” L.A. County Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said when informed by Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos that the “Kiss Kiss” singer has completed 100 hours of his lengthy community labor requirement.

“It’s an extremely favorable progress report,” Schnegg said, referring to Brown’s formal probation update. She said Brown has attended seven of his 52 mandatory domestic violence counseling sessions, paid all his court fines and given a sample of his DNA.

She ordered Brown back for another status report Feb. 18. [Source]

The National Enquirer is reporting that a “friend” of Rihanna claims Rihanna “despises” Chris Brown, and that Chris Brown has been sending her e-mails up until October trying to win her back…Click “continue reading” for the juicy details.

The 21-year-old singer cannot bear to discuss her relationship with Chris with those close to her, and is still struggling to come to terms with the violent assault he inflicted on her in February. Chris was sentenced to five years probation, six months community labour, 52 weeks of domestic violence classes and ordered to stay away from her for five years following the altercation.

The source told National Enquirer magazine: “Behind the scenes the truth is Rihanna despises Chris – so much so that if someone mentions him in passing she’ll say, ‘Please don’t talk about him.’

“She absolutely did the right thing by being classy in the interview, rather than coming off as vindictive. But I’ve even heard her curse Chris out for what he did to her. She did love him deeply, but in reality those feelings have died away.”

The source explained: “Up until October, Chris was stills ending her emails saying they should go out together for dinner or drinks. Rihanna finally got to the point where she threatened to go to the judge if he kept on bothering her. He’s stopped since then.” [Source]

Speaking of cast members from For the Love of Ray J, According to Hello Beautiful, Danger admits to sleeping with Ray J while pregnant with Nick Canon’s brother’s child. You better start praying now because I have a feeling the world just may end in 2012 with all this foolishness…WOW!

While being interviewed on DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show, Danger let it slip that she had sex with Ray-Z while being pregnant with someone else’s kid. As the interview went on, she retracted her statement. Behind the scenes there is a war of truths going on, and it has been ignited with Rihanna’s interview with Diane Sawyer. The problem is that there is a big “gap” and huge “hole” between the time that Rihanna admits to finding a text message that proved Chris Brown was cheating, until the time Chris Brown started assaulting her. All Rihanna has said about that gap is that it escalated, but she doesn’t say how it escalated. Chris closest friends maintains that he is a good guy, and that Rihanna “knows” what she did during this “gap” in the story, and that it was completely foul and will certainly turn public opinion against her. Friends of both parties just want Rihanna to tell the “whole” story. So many people in Chris Brown’s camp want to speak out so bad that they have taken to twitter of all places to defend him:

In the history of their relationship, Chris Brown has not initiated a violent act against Rihanna. Each time a situation of violence has occurred, it was initiated by Rihanna and Chris Brown has always managed to control or redirect his anger.

People who claim to be closest to Chris Brown say the Rihanna interview was a media stunt, and that she was forced by her handlers to say certain things in the interview to restore her career, and to destroy that of Chris Brown. They also maintain the truth will come out oneday. I don’t know what’s true, but I do know the year began with Chris Brown and Rihanna and the year will end with Chris Brown and Rihanna.

Please Note: Chris Brown has taken full responsibility for the assault, and has not charged Rihanna with any wrongdoing. He has chosen to not talk about any of the details that lead to the assault. I don’t know if that was for legal reasons, or out of love for Rihanna.

This is about to get messy…

That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with. So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.

You listen to this interview it will put some things in perspective for you. I always say, we behind the blogs get so wrapped up in the story that we forget there are actual human behind the celebrity. I must say I am so proud of Rihanna for finally speaking out, it’s always better late than never, and not only does she speak out, she seems quite honest and forthcoming. This interview is more detailed than what inside “sources” lead us to believe (almost made drop a tear). Although she doesn’t go into great detail, in part two she says a lot more about that night than what Chris Brown had to say. I am still suspect that her team decided to speak out before an upcoming album, it would have meant a lot more to me, if the interview wasn’t linked to a promotion. But like I said late, it’s always better than never…

It’s completely normal to go back. It’s not right. I learned the hard way, but again, this is what I want people to know. When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for going back.Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say that they won’t kill these girls? These are young girls and I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened.

Glamour: Let’s talk about this past year—you’ve obviously been through some difficult things. How did the people around you help you cope?

Rihanna: My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand. That’s when you get close to God.

Glamour: Are you referring to the [Chris Brown] incident?

Rihanna: I am talking about starting with the night [before] the Grammys and then on. That was not the only thing that occurred this year. The picture leaking…it was one thing after another.

Glamour: You’re talking about the photo [reportedly of Rihanna’s injured face taken by police after Brown assaulted her] that was allegedly leaked by cops. You handled that so well; you kept silent in the press.

Rihanna: It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

Glamour: How has this event changed you as a person, as a woman?

Rihanna: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.

Glamour: If you could offer a message to the millions of young women who look up to you, what would you tell someone who found herself in a similar situation?

Rihanna: Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.

Glamour: Is it too early for you to think, I want to be in love, I want to have a family? Is that too far down the road?

Rihanna: I hope I find love in the next 10 years—that will be pretty annoying if I am 31 and still have never been in love! But yeah, I’d like to be in a great place in both my personal life and my career. I still want to be doing what I love. Whatever that is in 10 years, I don’t know.

The Los Angeles  Premiere of Precious went down this past weekend, and the stars came out to support this project. Sapphire was there to promote the movie.  [Earlier I erroneously said that Precious was Sapphire. Sorry, and thanks to Marva who brought it to my attention.] Sapphire is the author of the book, and she was a literacy teacher to the real Precious. So Sapphire is not ‘Precious’ she was the teacher of the real life Precious, and the movie and book is based on her student’s life who’s name was Claireece “Precious” Jones.  That’s why I need to read the book this week, so I will know what I’m watching. I heard the book is really disturbing and that the movie does not reflect half the abuse Precious suffered from both her mother and father. I have to show you this picture of Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon. This beautiful woman had twins, and  showed up on the red carpet looking flawless. She’s just like Halle Berry; she just looks more and more beautiful with age. (there is a close-up in the gallery below)

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey hit the red carpet as well, proving to everyone that they’re a real couple and in love. Mariah Carey also has a role in the movie, and I heard her acting skills has improved greatly since Glitter.

Paula Patton and her husband Robin Thicke hit the red carpet. I can’t tell if she has a baby bump or not. I can’t wait to see her in her full pregnancy glow. I also can’t wait to see first pictures of the baby when he/she is born. Paula Patton also stars in the film. Tyler Perry and Oprah walked the red carpet arm in arm as executive producers to the project, and Monique hit the red carpet with her husband.

The headline says “Now For the Very First Time Rihanna Tells Her Story.” You have to read the tag lines carefully, it says Rihanna will tell “her” story and not “her side” of the story. What does that mean; that could mean anything. Not once did it say Rihanna will talk about that awful night with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. I am definitely going to watch just to see what she will say, but I have to tell you I have a “suspect” feeling, that this is more of an interview about her music career, and not about her “private” life.

We will all tune in, only to find out that legally due to the plea deal Rihanna is not allowed to discuss the merits of the case. Something also tells me that she will admit that she still has feelings for Chris Brown, and that the night of the assualt changed her and shaped her new album. If they are not legally married, yet, will tattooing their initials on each other pretty much ensure that they never will be legally married. They just now finished the pre-nuptial agreement, which you’re suppose to complete “before the nuptials”–thus the name.  I heard butterflies make a great cover-up tattoo in case Khloe wants to know. I wish people would stop making a mockery of marriage; it should not be a publicity stunt.

An old college associate writes for Examiner, and she wrote on interesting post entitled, Prejudices In Beauty and In Dating. It’s an article that discusses interracial dating, and what different races view as “Black Beauty”. In the article she suggests that White, Asian, and Hispanic men are more likely to compliment a dark-skinned woman on her beauty before a black man would. The statement took me back because I am a dark-skinned woman, or at the least a non-light-skinned woman, but I disagree with that assessment. As I kept reading, I came across this statement, and it just stuck out like a sore thumb:

Here in the south, if you are a woman of darker complexion, you have to be extremely confident in yourself, because you may seldom get praise regarding your beauty, especially but sadly, not from other men within your race.  As a dark-skinned woman in San Antonio you will get more recognition and appreciation for your beauty from a Hispanic, White or Asian man before you would a Black man.

A friend of mine said that being a dark skinned African American woman, she would seldom be approached in clubs by black men, but her friend of a lighter complexion would be surrounded by them.  She also said that if a Black man notices a white, Asian, mixed-race, light-skinned or Hispanic woman, he would approach them before he would her.  Many men she’d encountered would date a light-skinned woman who was out of shape over a dark-skinned woman who was slim.

Is this a person who’s attracted to men that are not black, and is more aware of compliments when it comes from other races? Or…is this statement reflective of what most dark-skin women think?

Teyana Taylor is a ride or die chick for Chris Brown. When all of the so-called friends of Chris Brown turned their backs the moment Chris Brown fell of his pedestal (more like beat his ex-girlfriend); instead of having his back, his so called “friends” bailed on him, and kicked the poor brother while he was down. Here’s what Teyana Taylor told Vibe:

A lot of people were jumping on different bandwagons and I really felt like that was wack. Before the incident between him and Rihanna, Chris had always been my brother. When we met we clicked instantly from our fashion styles to our love of basketball to dancing to everything. Tameka and Usher divorce is final, at least that what’s the court says, but Tameka Foster says she and Usher are still married. I don’t know if you watch Desperate Housewives (no not Real Housewives of Atlanta) but Tameka is acting like Katherine right now, thinking she’s going to get Mike (Usher) back from Susan (Deaf Jam Mistress).

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the “papers” say marriage “disposed”. Meaning marriage dissolved, meaning “legally” Tameka and Usher are divorced, even if “mentally” Tameka says their still together.

However, Tameka may have truth on her side. In her defense, the divorce papers are marked wrong, and Tameka and Usher are still technically “married” according to the lawyer.

Answer: NOT DIVORCED
