Well. I guess that retirement speech Katt Williams gave last month about quitting comedy was a bunch of crock because he’s continued to do shows around the country. It seems that there’s been no incidents in a while so maybe he’s exercising some chill. But last night at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, TMZ managed to get their hands on a video of Katt Williams explaining his reason behind slapping ex-Target employee Forrest Liebenburg.
”This is what the dude at Target said … ‘Your assistant is already suing you, you p**sy ass n***er.”
WHOA. OK. Soooo…I can understand why Katt slapped him. For his part, Liebenburg was fired from Target shortly after the incident so I guess Katt‘s explanation is accurate. Now, if only he can explain the rest of his behavior over the past few months. Hmm. See the full clip below:
There’s only 14 days until Christmas, yo!! Time is just flying by this year, if you ask me. In an effort to get you into the holiday mood…or something like that, Snoop Lion teamed up with the folks at ERB (Epic Rap Battles) and made a special holiday rap for us to enjoy! Snoop Lion, as Moses, faces off against the one and only Santa Claus.
While not as epic as my new Christmas favorite of DMX rapping Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, it holds it’s own as a good battle between Christian and secular holiday beliefs. That’s kind of deep, when you think about it. It would be a good Sunday School song…if not for the cussing and Moses’ ‘heauxs’ all booty clapping and stuff. Check out the rap battle AND DMX rapping about Rudolph (in case you missed it), when you continue…
I don’t know what’s been up but comedian Katt Williams seems to have just lost every bit of his mind over the last few months. You name it, he’s gone through it. Fights, arguments with fans, slapping a Target employee, getting into a high-speed chase on a Hoveround, on-stage breakdowns, arrests after arrests after arrests. He’s seem to have fallen a long way down the stardom ladder when his career seemed so promising in the beginning. But it seems that all the drama of recent has taken it’s toll. While talking to KOMO News in Seattle about his recent arrest, with tears in his eyes he unexpectedly announced his retirement from stand-up.
“I’m just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from standup, I’m kinda done,” Williams said. “I’ve discussed it with my kids, I wasn’t gonna do in the middle of a Seattle street, I was going to go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or LiveNation.”
It appears that the decision was a hard one and I really hope he gets his life together. He’s been wildin’ out and no one really understands why. But just maybe he may be able to get past this and start anew. Check out the Katt and his announcement on video below:
I love Ellen DeGeneres. She seems like so much fun. And if this clip doesn’t prove it, then I don’t know what would. On Tuesday, Rihanna sat down on Ellen and talked about life, love and music. Of specific note was the conversation about Rihanna and her private parts, which Ellen referred to as ‘She’.
The last time Rihanna was on Ellen, she shared that her lack of a love live was not good for ‘Her’. So Ellen asked for an update on ‘Her’ status and let’s just say that things were different this time around. Check out the clip below:
Happy Friday folks! After a week such as this, we could all use a little cheering up, don’t you think? Today’s hilarious story comes via Newark, New Jersey mayor Cory Booker. If you’re on Twitter and you don’t follow this man, PLEASE rectify that right now! Cory is constantly tweeting with residents and non-residents, offering advice, encouragement and humor. During the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, Cory has been using Twitter to spread information and speak directly to the people of his city. And one particular Twitter user seemed to have a problem he felt only Cory Booker could solve…about a dwindling supply of hot pockets. Mayor Booker‘s response is CLASSIC.
LMAO!! Kudos for giving encouragement and providing some humor during such a time of distress! There’s no word on whether the hot pocket situation was resolved but I have a feeling it was.
Just by the names associated with this project alone, it sounds like it’s going to be one hell of a great show. At least I hope so. According to Deadline, CBS has picked up Queen Latifah‘s The Queen Latifah Show with plans on launching it in the fall of 2013. Queen La is an executive producer of the show, along with her friends Will and Jada Smith.
The Queen Latifah Show will feature celebrity interviews, human interest stories, comedy, pop culture and musical performances. It is expected to showcase Queen Latifah’s talents, blending comedy and music into her hosting duties.
