This week Drake made the announcement that he will be hosting this years Espy Awards, and it’s only right since he was named the global ambassator for the Toronto Raptors at the beginning of the season. After his announcement people took to social media to express their likes and dislikes of Drakes new hosting gig. Drake than went over to Jimmy Kimmel where he participated in a segment of “I Witness News” as the Fake Drake to hear random people’s thoughts about him. The video was extremely hilarious and it even looks like Drake made a new friend in the process.

If you have never heard of Bun B’s Rapper Coloring And Activity Book, you need to re-evaluate your life. Writer Shea Serrano teamed up with rapper Bun B to create an activity book that every child of hip-hop would cherish (check it out here). In his blog post today in the Dallas Observer, Shea gave us two pieces of valuable information: 1. He’s currently working on another book. And if the activity book is any indication, I’m ready to buy it NOW. 2. His children tried to help him with his work on this new book by drawing some pictures of famous rappers for him. Check out their rendition of OutKast below:
HEE. LARRY. US. Wait until you see their drawings of Notorious B.I.G. and Drake. If you’re anything like me, you’re stomach is going to hurt from laughter. Kids are hysterical! Check it out:
If you weren’t able to watch Drake on SNL, don’t worry, thanks to our friends at hulu, we have a few highlights to share with you from last night’s episode. I didn’t know for the life of me that Drake can do impressions. If it wasn’t for the height and color differences, I’d swear Drake was Kat Williams himself. Talk about spot on! Don’t believe me…just watch it.
Check out the skit when you continue…Oh, and he also does Lil Wayne well, too. I didn’t think he would be funny, but he definitely didn’t disappoint…
Celebs are people too. They do all of the stupid, silly things that non celebrity folks do. Like attempt to rap when you don’t know the lyrics to a song. Kim Kardashian posted this hilariously bad video of her friend Nicole Richie and her mother Kris Jenner ‘rapping’ Salt-N-Pepa‘s Shoop.
Well, attempted to rap. It seems they couldn’t get past the first couple of lines before Kris stumbled into a continuous loop of “girls, what’s my weakness??” LOL Check out the video below:
So this is an exciting weekend in entertainment. Drake is hosting Saturday Night Live and will get to show off his acting skills. Also debuting on the show, is Sasheer Zamata.
If you haven’t heard, SNL finally has a sister on the show this season!!! After a little backlash from Keenan Thompson and Jay Pharoh, who both refused to dress in drag to play black women due to the lack of diversity in the female cast, so SNL finally hires a black woman comedian. Here’s a promo clip of Drake displaying some his fine acting skills. He’s so Canadian!
So make sure you tune in this Saturday on NBC and support Sasheer Zamata. You asked for it, and SNL delivered.
Rapper Eve has been keeping low these past few years but it seems like all of that is about to change. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eve is working on a semi-autobiographical comedy show for ABC that will focus on interracial dating. This is a subject Eve will thrive at; she’s engaged to long-time boyfriend British entrepreneur and fashion designer Maximillion Cooper.
Eve would star in the comedy and serve as a non-writing executive producer on the project, which hails from Aaron Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan. The comedy is earmarked for the 2014-15 development season, and no writer is attached at the moment.
