I think you kind of have to be a turd to not think that Pharrell‘s song Happy is crap. Even if you’re tired of hearing it, you can’t tell me that you didn’t snap your fingers or bob your head to the music when you first heard it. But did you know that Pharrell teamed up with The United Nations Foundation to declare today Internation Day Of Happiness.
Pharrell is asking people to post videos on the site and help raise funds to help the needy all over the world. If you want to read more about it, check it out here. I think it’s an awesome idea! What about you? Will you be spreading the happiness?
Congratulations to Chris Brown who has completed his 90-day court ordered stint in rehab. I don’t know what the future will bring, but I hope some time away has taught him something positive, and will keep him out of jail for fighting. According to E! Online the R&B singer has voluntarily extended his stay in anger management rehab, which to me screams progress.
The singer is starting the year off right after also receiving the Second Chance At Loving Life award from 2nd Call for his work in reducing street violence and trying to unite LA gangs through his own organization the Symphonic Love Foundation and Unity Campaign. He also announces his return to Instagram changing his handler to Chris Brown Official instead of F@$% Yo Pictures! Last but certainly not least the singer also announces the release date for his new album, X, on May 5th.
Remember a few months back when Juicy J announced his $50,000 twerk scholarship? Some people thought it was a good idea since a lot of people were obsessed with twerking at the time and then some thought it was degrading to have college students twerking for money. Recently Juicy J announced the winner of his scholarship, and guess what? SHE DID NOT HAVE TO TWERK! The winners name is Zaire Holmes, she’s a 19 year old single mother who attends the State College of Florida, and she used a very simple and easy method to win the $50,000.
Check out how Zaire won the scholarship when you continue. . .
Chris Brown, all smiles, enjoyed a day of giving back during his Christmas toy drive in Los Angeles. Guests who attended brought unwrap gifts as donations for a chance to meet Chris Brown. Thankfully the turn out was amazing with lines wrapped around the corner. Tyga stopped by, along with Kevin Hart to support Team Breezy and the kids, and the end of the event Chris Brown tweeted this message:
Thank you to all the fans who brought gifts for the kids today. Have a wonderful holiday. You’ve made a merry Christmas for a young child!
More pics from the event when you continue…
We get to talk about all of the rumors and gossip regarding celebrities, but I love talking about the good things that celebrities do with their influence and power. During a concert in Las Vegas, Queen B made one young lady’s, Taylon, wish come true by singing Survivor in an upclose and very personal moment.
Ivy McGregor, CEO of YVI Enterprises was instrumental in making sure Taylon’s last wishes came true. Here’s a little background information on Taylon that Ivy McGregor revealed on Instagram (via Tattle Tailzz), plus the video below:
Been a lot of places and seen many faces, but I’ve not met one so young and as strong, positive and courageous, as this beautiful 12 year old young lady – meet Taylon, she has been fighting cancer since being diagnosed 12 months ago. Taylon has endured medicines, chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries including a full leg amputate and STILL maintains an A average scholastically. Well due to a new recent finding of cancer on her brain which is inoperable – she was placed
It’s still shocking to think about the tragic deaths of actor Paul Walker and his best friend Roger Rodas. Fans from all over the world have flocked to the crash site in Santa Clarita, California to pay their respect with tears, flowers and momentos. But according to TMZ, that is all about to come to an immediate end. The city of Santa Clarita is clearing ALL tributes left at the site.
Reps for the city of Santa Clarita tell us … the flowers, candles, posters, and other tributes — not to mention all the trash — that have been left at the crash site by fans paying their respects had piled up in the street and created a road hazard.
We’re told city crews have not thrown anything away … but they’ve moved all of the items off the street and onto the sidewalk … and they’ve invited the Walker and Rodas families to take away anything they’d like to keep.
Also … we’ve learned that starting today the city will be enforcing NO parking on the street near the scene of the crash … handing out tickets to violators.
At least they’re just moving the items to the sidewalk. I have a feeling though that at some point they will just end up throwing the items away. So if you are planning to pay your respects, I’d suggest donating to Paul Walker‘s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
