So how many of you got tickets to one of the most coveted shows of the year? This weekend marks the return of Beyoncé to the stage, after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy.  Revel Resorts in Atlantic City, New Jersey is hosting Bey for shows on May 26th to May 28th. I happen to know of a few people who are down there preparing now.  Beyoncé has made a making of video to mark this special occassion.

The first thing I noticed off the bat was that her voice sounds a little bit deeper to me.  I experienced the same thing in the aftermath of my pregnancy as well, so I commend her for being able to hit those notes with the same vocal range and intensity as before.  This video also revels just how much she throws herself into the planning of the shows, from lighting to angles to choreography to sets.  Check out the video below:

Good Lord! Looking at a young Tina Knowles is DEFINITELY like looking at a modern day Beyoncé!  Bey took some time to post this picture of her mother on her Tumblr yesterday for Mother’s Day and you can definitely see the resemblance.  There is no denying the genes.

Such a gorgeous shot.  The new mommy also took time to post a tribute letter to her mother as well, that came from the heart:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala, featuring signature objects by Schiaparelli (1890–1973) from the late 20s to the early 50s, and Prada from the late 80s to the present. Celebs who love style hit the gala in their finest evening wear, but only one celebrity steals the show in a see-through dress that exposes her bottom, and it’s not Rihanna.  Beyonce certainly knows how to keep us talking. Not only does she show up late to the red carpet call, but she is accompanied by “THE” Andre Leon Talley. She hits the red carpet at the MET Gala in this peacock style see-through lace dress by Givenchy *in my Marlo Hampton voice*.

When Beyonce turns around to walk the steps of the Metropolitan, more of the dress is revealed, or should I say less…Plus Rihanna also attends, and Kanye West flies solo…

I think the press forgot about everyone else after Beyonce arrives…

Raise your hand if you knew that Beyoncé even wrote an article that qualified for this kind of award. *keeps hand lowered*  According to MSN Music, Beyoncé wrote an article for Essence Magazine that caught the attention of officials at the New York Association of Black Journalists.

Queen Bey wrote an article called Eat, Play, Love, in which she talked about her nine month extended vacation back in 2010.

“I had talked about taking a vacation before, but always ended up in the studio after two weeks, so no one believed me. This time, though, I was serious. I was going to give myself a year to do the things I never get to do. Simple things like play with my nephew, pick him up from school, visit museums, go to concerts, see some Broadway shows, learn to cook a meal and spend time with my husband… Yes, I needed some relaxation, but I wanted inspiration too, from regular everyday things. They did not have to be over-the-top productions. I was looking for tiny moments that would speak to my heart and make me smile…”

I don’t think this is a surprise for anyone but Beyoncé has been named the world’s most beautiful woman by People Magazine.  After a year of celebrating life, marriage and motherhood, I actually think this is on-time for her.  There’s something about a woman in love and truly happy that just oozes beauty.

“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” says PEOPLE’s 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

It definitely shows.  You aren’t likely to catch her with anything but a smile on her face nowadays.  Congratulations to her!  She also takes some time to discuss her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter and goes in on who she thinks the little one resembles:

So who does her daughter most resemble? “She looks like Blue,” says Beyoncé, who is back to her pre-pregnancy weight and gearing up for her first post-baby concerts, Memorial Day weekend at the Revel Atlantic City. “She’s her own person.”

“The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” she adds. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

Happy Good Friday folks! Even though it is a religious holiday, that hasn’t stopped the craziness that seems to rear it’s head on a Friday. Celebrity gossip reporter Gary Wit Da Tea reported yesterday that people out here have come up with a new speculation into baby Blue Ivy Carter.  It seems as though people are now suggesting that Blue Ivy is a Reborn Doll.  *CRICKETS*  According to Wikipedia, a Reborn Doll is a doll that’s manufactured to be made as real looking as possible. *CRICKETS AGAIN*  So what is the reasoning behind this theory?

Apparently, since Beyoncé is walking around NYC, Blue Ivy‘s legs don’t appear to be kicking in the baby Bjorn sling. I guess with motherhood safely underway, Beyoncé is ready to get back to what she loves: performing.  Via her website, Beyoncé has joined up with Revel Resorts to take to the stage during the Memorial Day 2012 weekend.

The $2.5 billion casino is located in Atlantic City, NJ and Mama Bey will be their first headlining performer.  What a way to start out!  The last time Beyoncé performed in Atlantic City was back in 2007 so I’m sure this is a highly anticipated show, on all levels!  If you wanna see her perform, you JUST might be able to make that happen.  Get all the ticketing information, when you continue…

If you felt the ground shake at any time last night, then it must have been from all the Beyonce stans who fell out over images of her first appearance since giving birth to Blue Ivy. And I have to say, I don’t blame them one bit. She looks fabulous. Beyonce made an appearance last night at Carnegie Hall as her husband Jay Z performed to benefit the United Way of New York. She posted these pics of herself on her website last night.

Even if you don’t care for you, I don’t see how you can look at this picture and NOT think she isn’t working that dress.  Speaking of, her dress is designed by Alice Temperly, her clutch is Alexander McQueen, her shoes are Christian Louboutin and her jewelry is by Ofira & Lorraine Schwartz. Now if THIS actually sees the light of day…I’m kind of scared for the city of Houston, Texas.  According to My Fox Houston, two gentlemen by the names of Marcus Mitchell and Steve White says they have plans to erect a monument for Houston born Beyonce, right in the city.  The pair feel like a monument shouldn’t come after the superstar has passed — tribute should be given while she’s still alive.  They say they have the support of the mayor of Houston and are looking for private donors for the construction via their company, Armdeonce Ventures. So what are their plans for this monument?

“We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you’ll have a separate nameplate,” Marcus said. “There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum.”

I have MAD questions, yo. First, why are you conducting this interview via webcam in, what looks like, someone’s dining room?  And why is the company’s website filled with misspellings, spacing issues and general editing mistakes? I won’t even mention that it’s a website generated from one of those free website hosts. Their description of the monument sounds more like an entertainment venue.  And…I don’t know. New mom Beyonce is back on the grind, which should be no surprise to anyone.  One of the hardest working ladies in entertainment today teamed up with mama Tina Knowles and submitted a graphic t-shirt design for Runway To Win.  Runway To Win is support initiative, made up of a team of fashion designers, to support the Obama 2012 Presidential Campaign.

Their design reminds me of some of the House Of Dereon work…hmmm. At any rate, I think the people behind President Obama‘s campaign are quite innovative for working to get this started.  Other designers such as Sean John, Russell Simmons, Rachel Roy and Vera Wang are also submitting or have submitted work.  Not a fan of t-shirts?  Never fear; you have options.The Obama gear run the gamut of fashion choices, from bags t0 purses to t-shirts. Ever since the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, Twitter has been the scene of a damn near drag-out, knockdown fight. While a lot of people are genuinely happy for Jay-Z and Beyonce (ESPECIALLY after hearing this beautiful song Jay-Z released for his daughter), a lot of tweeters have used this as a platform to show how much they dislike Beyonce.  Now I’m no Beyonce stan, but folks are out of line, calling a newborn child a “bi*ch” and trying to tie her name into the Illuminati. I mean, really folks?  There’s a difference between not liking someone and just being evil for no good reason, to the point where therapy should be your next destination. Proud auntie Solange Knowles has kept pretty silent but took to Twitter to say just a few works about this.

Let’s just all take a minute to think about how much money that is.  YIKES.  According to the NY Daily News, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Charles Ramos denied Beyoncé’s request to have the lawsuit dropped. I hope she gets it taken care of via her lawyers cuz I wouldn’t wanna see shots of her prego belly in the courtroom.

The lawsuit was filed back in April by Gate Five LLC.  Gate Five and Bey teamed up for a project to produce a videogame called Starpower: Beyonce.  Gate Five claims that Bey demanded an “extortionate”  amount of money at the last minute then pulled out once she was denied.  Gate Five claims that her last minute dropout caused quite a few people to have the worst Christmas’ ever last year…

Gate Five accused the pregnant songstress of a “bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five’s business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas [2010\].”

That’s harsh, yo!  But I’m a little salty cuz that sounds like it could have been a bomb game! Like The Michael Jackson Experience game for the Wii, which I love and adore.  Maybe it will get another chance to be created, once this is all resolved.Similar Posts:

I am certain that Beyonce and Jay-Z had their pregnancy planned at least a year in advance. Why? Because Beyonce is an amazing business woman and understands that fans would be very eager for her to give birth to little Child of Destiny (I’ll be here all night, ladies and gentlemen!) and get back to making music. In a brilliant move, she’s putting out a live concert DVD called Live At Roseland.

Bey performed a series of 4 intimate concerts in New York and has put them together with additional footage. This will keep her fans satisfied for at least a year or so. Enough time to give birth and have some mommy time. Three clips from the DVD have been released thus far, giving us a look into the concert and personal moments. The lastest clip, I Was Here, (which is one of the three songs I truly love on the wackass 4 album) includes clips of her life and career up until now, including a quick glimpse at her faboulous wedding dress. It’s stunning. And I’m amazed wedding photos haven’t been released but I can dig it! Check out the clip, after the jump…

Over the weekend, Beyonce released another music video off of the 4 album, Love On Top, which she performed at the MTV VMA’s (making way for an ubercute and extra adorable GIF of that famous Beyonce Belly Rub).

Even though the song has a 4:27 run time, Bey took out the second verse for the video, chopping it down to 3:17.  It looks like she started shooting the vid prior to being visibly pregnant (peep the flat belly) but by the end of it, with the big hair and fly pant suits, I’m thinking that portion was shot during her belly bump stage.  Peep the video, after the jump…

Beyonce has a new video out for the song 1+1. I love the a cappella version of Beyonce rehearsing in the dressing room before American Idol; it gave me chills. But this version, the one on her album, is a little too cheesy for my taste, but it’s still something I can jam, too in the car. Check out the video and leave your thoughts.

Beyonce is still having the best year ever! King B, or whatever it is she calls herself nowadays, was amongst 178 artists and executives invited from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to join the ranks of Oscar voters.

The Academy selected their invitees based on those whom have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. Those who accept the invitation will be the only additions in 2011 to the Academy’s roster of members.

“These individuals are among the best filmmakers working in the industry today,” said Academy President Tom Sherak. “Their talent and creativity have entertained moviegoers around the world, and I welcome each of them to our ranks.”

International superstar, Beyonce, is heading back into the studio to work on her fourth solo album. She may have appeared to been on hiatus but the pop diva has plenty of projects leading up to her new music to keep fans happy in the meantime.

Recently, Beyoncé talked about her upcoming album to “Entertainment Tonight.”

“I love to dance, I love to sing, and I’m actually in the studio now writing songs and producing. I have a lot of live instruments that I’m putting into the tracks to try to change the sound and make my own genre of music.”

Recently, she finished filming a commercial for Vizio televisions (which will air next Thursday night, November 25, during the airing of her Thanksgiving concert special “I Am … World Tour”). At the same time, the commercial for her new fragrance, Heat, has been causing quite the controversy. The 1-minute ad was banned from daytime TV in the U.K.
