Alicia Keys tribute to Prince was actually a highlight for me. I’m not a big Alicia Keys fan, musically, but I thought her rendition of Adore by Prince was her best performance of the night. However, people are talking, and they are talking about Alicia Keys gyrating on the piano while pregnant. What’s wrong with a nearly six month pregnant woman getting her sexy on? Are pregnant women not sexy, too?
It’s a slow news day, so why not post about Darius McCrary taking his wife or ex-wife Karrine Steffans to the 37th Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. The two were allegedly getting a divorce, but something tells me it was probably a publicity stunt seeing that they are still together on the red carpet; and although papers were served in February, the divorce has yet to be finalized. So because it’s a slow news day we might as well let them shine. In case you wondering why they were attending in the Emmys, Darius McCrary is now playing Malcom Winters on the Young & Restless; the role once played by Shemar Moore.
SWAGG & Atlantic Records hosted a BET Awards post-party to honor their artists and performers from the 10th Annual BET Awards. The special party was held in West Hollywood at Cecconi’s. Here are a few behind the scenes photos for MrsGrapevine.com readers. Enjoy!

When Alicia Keys won the award for best female artist, she hugged Swizz Beatz’ son, before going on stage. Twitter went crazy talking about Alicia Keys hugging Mashonda’s son. Well, Swizz Beatz has two sons and his oldest is by another woman, not Mashonda, and his name is Prince Nasir (9). Prince Nasir was the one with Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz at the BET Awards, and not Kasseem Jr (3) who was not even there.
UPDATE: So there is no drama here folks, keep it moving!
This year celebs tried too hard to stand out on the red carpet, from Nicki Minaj orange hair to Keyshia Cole’s hair-don’t. The worst dress in my opinion, would have to be Keyshia Cole. This is first time we’ve seen Ms.Cole since the pregnancy, and although her body is getting back in shape, her fashion sense #failed.
Brandy and Cassie are definitely my next choices for worst dress. They both went with a deconstruction look, that failed to impress. I’m just not a fan of the bikini top and granny pants, it’s so Miami 80′s but not in a good way.
There was one woman that looked amazing, and she always dresses with class. That’s Nia Long. I thought Nia was elegant, sexy, and bold without being tacky. Ciara was hot as well.
