Fantasia’s Little Back Dress At The Jackie Robinson Foundation; Wrong Place Tasia

Fantasia Barrino decides to wear her little black dress to the wrong event. I’m waiting for Fantasia to evolve as an artist, but it seems she’s a one-trick pony with a great voice, but the kicking off the shoes and screaming across the stage is getting old. You’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it enough. I like the fact that she is raw, but sometimes you need more in concert than just shoes flying, besides Patti LaBelle has already been there and done that.

Gabrielle Union didn’t attend the Oscars, but she did attend the Vanity Fair After Party, wearing a form fitted dress to put the preggers rumors to rest. Everything looks slimming in this yellow dress, and her face that was so full for the last few weeks, also looks slim. Guess, I was wrong! Maybe it was just stress from her relationship with Dwayne Wade as tee_baby suggested, or maybe she was retaining water. She also looks a lot happier.

With all the other sarcasm aside, Gabrielle Union looks beautiful…

…But now all the “other blogs” have officially put Mariah Carey on the preggo watch list. I definitely will keep you posted, but MiMi has been known to gain and lose weight…

Usually, Jaime Foxx walks the red carpet with his daughter, Corinne, or his sister. And usually Stacey Dash is not even present at these type of awards. So what’s really going on, is there a new couple in Hollywood?

Cast mate Lenny Kravitz brought his daughter, Zoe, who is also an actress and band leader, as his date to the 2010 Spirit Awards. Congrats to the whole cast and crew!

The 41st NAACP Awards will air live tonight (Feb 26th) on Fox. The kick-off festivities have already begun with a Nominees Pre-Gala and a Celebrity Golf Tournament. Stars like Elise Neal, Tatyana Ali, Tamala Jones, Chris Tucker, Eva Marcille, LaLa Vasquez, Kimberly Elise, Omarosa, Michael Strahan, and Hank Bassett came out to support the events.

Kim Kardashian is just the new it girl, now that Rihanna is globe-trotting promoting her album Rated R. Kimmy Cakes was spotted in NYC during Merceds-Benz Fashion Week Style 360 for BeBe. Every thing she wears looks good on her, and she really keeps it simple.

Alicia Keys outfit was on point at the Brit Awards, and you can definitely tell she’s been working out. I don’t want to pick her apart, so I will just leave it at that, but this photographer didn’t capture her in the best light. Click the pictures for bigger view:

Lady GaGa showed out of course at the Brit Awards. Her play on the Bride of Frankenstein was hit with white lace and little fabric to cover. Her performance was theatrical and amazing. Where do you go from here, I’m sure she will figure it out.

I guess Kelly Rowland has to do her own publicity. If she had not released the statement below regarding her Grammy win, I don’t think too many people would have noticed. Especially since Beyonce broke a Grammy record for winning six Grammys in one night. Now I think I understand why Solange Knowles decided to go in on twitter regarding Beyonce record breaking night, if you leave it to the mainstream media, you will get snubbed.

Anyway check out what Kelly Rowland had to say about her Grammy win, and why she wasn’t there to support Beyonce. Then check out Solange Knowles defending both her big sister’s success as well as Kelly Rowland’s.

Well, Well, Well, what a weekend it was guys!! Very exciting and BUSY of course! I was recording til late on Saturday and slept late on Sunday(day of Grammy’s) and I woke up to find out that David and I got a Grammy for “When Love Takes Over”!!!

How psyched am I to get another Grammy! I never take those moments for granted, but trust me there are SO many people to thank for making it such a success. David, his management and all of his amazing team.

My team: Nikki, Jeff Rabhan, Joshua Klein and everyone at Monarch, Above and Beyond Ent, EMI (ALL territories)for working OVERTIME to make sure it was a worldwide success! ALL the radio stations that TRULY believed in the record! I always save the best for last and that is the fans! The BEST fans in the WORLD! Thank you guys for being so open with me trying something new and loving it the way I love it!

All I have to say is what a mighty God we serve! Have faith people; believe, do and get it done! Whatever it may be you want to accomplish….You can! AMEN!!!! Let’s get some more Grammy’s next year!!! Wooo Hooooo!!!

Despite all the quotes that Rihanna is single, Matt Kemp was spotted at the Grammy’s after party kicking it with Rihanna. The two were spotted canoodling at Drake’s After Party at Guys & Dolls. The relationship is over as far as the public is concerned, but behind the scenes the too are very “friendly”, like on the yacht friendly. So allegations of abuse did not change Rihanna’s mind, she’s riding with Matt Kemp on the low.

Rihanna may have hit the Grammys carpet solo, but that didn’t mean she was manless all night.

The double winner met up on the sly with baseballing beau Matt Kemp at an afterparty. They both hit Drake’s bash at Guys & Dolls, where Jay-Z and Beyoncé also made a surprise appearance.

“Jay decided to crash Drake’s party in a good way,” an eyewitness tells us. “He brought the whole crew!”

Hova was helping Beyoncé celebrate her big night in major style…

“They went through 12 bottles of Ace of Spades champagne in 90 minutes!” the partygoer dishes. Jay also toasted his better half to the packed club, “To B., who breaks all barriers!”

Although Ri-Ri and Matt first shared a table for about 15 minutes, the songbird then headed over to mingle with Jay, B., Drake and Lil Wayne.

“Rihanna just wants everything to be private with her relationships after Chris Brown,” an insider explains.

The group partied until around 2 a.m., and while Jay, B and Ri-Ri all came out the front exit, Matt made a quick exit through the back for his Bentley. {Source}

Tyler Perry will receive one of the highest honors at this year’s NAACP Image Awards. The Chairman’s Award is chosen by Julian Bond for special achievement and distinguished public service. Others who have shared this honor include President Barack Obama, Vice President Al Gore, Bono, and Janet Jackson. Congrats to Tyler Perry who is also nominated for Outstanding Writing for I Can Do Bad All By Myself and Outstanding Comedy Series for House of Payne.

Tyler Perry is a tremendous inspiration to people on many levels,” said Bond. “His remarkable life experiences, which inform his extraordinary body of work in film, television and stage, have also shaped his focus on significant charitable causes and civil-rights initiatives.”

Tyler Perry hasn’t forgotten about the poverty in which he was raised. He has been involved in civil rights cases and charities that focus on helping the homeless, such as Feeding America, Covenant House, Hosea Feed the Hungry and Perry Place. In 2009, he made a gift of $1 million to the NAACP and recently donated another $1 million via The Tyler Perry Foundation to aid the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti.

This almost sneaked past me with all of the hoopla from the Grammy Awards this past weekend. Caressa Cameron is from the great state of Virginia as a broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University. And get this one of the judges on the panel was none other than Rush Limbaugh. Hmmmm!

She performed Listen by Beyonce from the movie, Dreamgirls. Her performance in the talent segment propelled her to the top of the judges’ list.

Watch Caressa Camero sing Listen during the 2010 Miss USA pageant.

Watch her reaction as she wins the crown. The lyrics in the Miss America song is the “fairest of the fair she is.”

Here are some red carpet pictures from the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. I can’t say that I was impressed by any of these looks, except maybe Jennifer Hudson. Rihanna dress was actually beautiful, but it didn’t seem to fit for the occasion. Lady GaGa looked like deconstructed Cinderalla, and Beyonce had glitter highlights in her lacefront. Ciara’s dress reminded me of Elvira, or something you would wear on a date with Dracula. Not necessarily bad, just interesting. I think the Pre-Grammy brought out the better fashion style.

Clive Davis hosted the star studded event, The Annual Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. Rihanna and Ciara went for the puffy edge, and actually pulled it off looking nothing shy of amazing. Actually, Ciara reminded me of Lil Bo Peep, but in a fashion forward couture kind of a way.

Some blast from the past hit up the event including, Toni Braxton, Mya, and India.Arie. Mary J Blige and Kendu Isaacs were kissing on the red carpet, I guess to show the world they’re not fighting anymore at events. Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, and Usher worked the red carpet, as well. Jennifer Hudson is trying to get slim on is.

If the stars were not at the Clive Davis Pre Grammy Party, they were at the Directors Guild of America Awards with Tyrese Gibson plus his hair, Zoe Saldana (Avatar), and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious). Zoe Saldana dress was probably the hottest outfit on the night.

After all the partying, Celebs hit up the 3rd Annual Grammy Midnight Brunch. Stars included Michelle Williams of Destiny Child showing off her new short hair-do. Ashanti, Tia Mowry and Hosea Sanchez from The Game, and Ne-Yo with Victoria Secret Model and girlfriend, Jessica White were also present.

If this is the route Kelis is taking to maintain her uniqueness and style, then I believe she’s won. I don’t know what happened since the baby and the divorce filings against husband Nas, but I’m thinking she has lost something. If her goal is to prevent them young cats from her jacking her style, then I believe she has won this battle, and if she keeps dressing like this, I think she may have won the war, as well.

So is this pressing the fashion envelope, or is this just hot mess? Too each his own, but don’t expect me not to have an opinion. In all fairness to Kelis, this outfit is what sh wore to the Data Awards, so maybe that explains it. I hope!

There have been rumors circulating about Beyonce and Kelly Rowland’s estranged relationship. With Kelly spending a lot of her time in Europe and Beyonce newly married, the two women haven’t been seen together in quite some time. Although both women attended the NRJ Music Awards, they didn’t seem to cross paths. Beyonce decided not to walk the red carpet, therefore providing no photo-op of the two ladies to dispel rumors.

To make matters worst, in the video below, Beyonce wins Greatest Artist of the Decade, and did not thank Kelly Rowland or Destiny’s Child. Perhaps by accident, perhaps not! After all she didn’t mention any family members by name.

If you ask me, that was a great PR move, now if anybody asks why didn’t Beyonce mention Kelly who was also at the event, she can simply say I didn’t mention anyone. I don’t know, but come Monday if a pciture doesn’t surface of the two of them together, the you know what is going to hit the fan.

What do you think, are Kelly and Beyonce still BFFs???
