Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams attended the surprise birthday party of their close friend/former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland at Opera nightclub in Hollywood Tuesday night. This marks the first time Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle have been seen in public since Kelly parted ways with Mathew Knowles as her manager. Obviously there are no hard feelings!
Beyonce wore this Prince: Life Is A Parade tee shirt to the event. The tee-shirt retails for $34.99 and it’s currently sold-out! (Remember how big of a fan Beyonce is of Prince? Refresh your memory here.)
Michelle kept her laid-back look sleek with a Gucci bamboo top-handle bag while Kelly show her love to her second home (London) via a black Burberry bag. To find out more details about Kelly and Michelle wore to the event, visit here.
The editors of world’s most recognizable fashion magazine (VOGUE) finally placed First Lady Michelle Obama on its March 2009 cover. This bold move made Michelle the second first lady (after now Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton) to appear on its coveted cover. But do you love it?

On being a mom: I’m going to try to take them to school every morning — as much as I can. But there’s also a measure of independence. And obviously there will be times I won’t be able to drop them off at all. I like to be a presence in my kids’ school. I want to know the teachers; I want to know the other parents.
On her background: We like to joke that the South Side of Chicago is our Kennebunkport. . . . We learned in our household that there was nothing you couldn’t talk about and that you found humor in even some of the toughest times. I want to bring that spirit of warmth, openness, and stability to my task.
On her fashion choices: I love clothes. First and foremost, I wear what I love. That’s what women have to focus on: what makes them happy and what makes them feel comfortable and beautiful. If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion.
On bringing Sasha and Malia along on trips: I’ve been grateful that my girls have been able to see parts of the country that I’m just seeing at the age of 44,” she says. “It’s not only seeing Paris, London, and Rome. It’s also the remote places . . . exposing them to what we hope all kids will have: a feeling that they are citizens of the world.” (quotes lifted from Citizen Sugar via Vogue.)
Vogue’s Editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley interviewed Michelle while famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. On the cover Michelle wore magenta silk sheath Jason Wu dress which showed off her toned arms. (Is this the best they can do with Michelle???) Vogue’s March 2009 with First Lady Michelle Obama hits newsstands on February 17th!
Kim Kardashian slip away long enough from her boyfriend Reggie Bush’s side to attend the 2009 Pre-Super Bowl Pepsi Smash event which appear on VH1 last night.
Here’s a face-off between Fergie and Kim in the same Ina Soltani LBD. A Pre-Mrs. Josh Duhamel (Fergie, ICYDK) first worn this black satin dress with a feather hem to host a New Year’s Eve bash at LAVO at The Palazzo. Kim (blogger by day) better half rock the same look with a black cropped jacket at Pepsi Smash’s Pre-Superbowl concert last night.

Rihanna performed “Rehab” with enough zeal that one hope when was Justin Timberlake coming to join her.
Mid-way through that hope was gone as Rihanna kept it up in her custom-made Christian Louboutin boots. She does a better job with the ballads, don’t you agree?

Eva Longoria Parker, Ciara, and Gwyneth Paltrow all recently wore this new (sort of recylced) Hollywood trend – a high waist skirt. At first glance, the skirt sort has a girdle-type feel. (It holds everything in when worn right.) This look is best done with a skirt tuck in as Tony P’s wife, Ciara, and Mrs. Chris Martin effortlessly did.
But do you love it…or not?

Best dressed picks (In no particular order)
Best overall look goes to…
The bows, the color, the back, Elie Saab- sigh!
Missed the mark picks
TV actresses America Ferrera and Teri Hatcher missed the best dressed mark completely and disappointedly in their overly draped couture dresses. Best luck 2010? (Hopefully!)
Following close behind America and Teri are Christina Applegate and Emily Blunt. Christina: Love the dress – hate the extra long necklace! Emily: Why the uncomfortable pose?
Someone must have forward the same dress memo to January Jones, Penelope Cruz, Kyra Sedgwick and Jamie-Lynn Sigler because they all arrived in midnight black.
Blue of any shade was a standout color thanks to Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Freida Pinto, and Nicolette Sheridan.
Gold and yellow turned up on Viola Davis, Marisa Tomei and Jennifer Morrison.
Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Taraji P. Henson let their back do the talking.
Here’s a face off between Tina Fey and America Ferrera in Brian Reyes. America first wore this look in blue with matching Christian Louboutin suede peep-toes to the NYC premiere of Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2. At this year’s SAG, Tina walked down in the brown version. Which lady pulled off the look?
