UPDATED: Former Disney Star Zendaya Confirmed For Lead Role In Aaliyah Biopic
The internet has been buzzing all day ever since the news of Zendaya Coleman being confirmed as the lead role for the new Aaliyah biopic, which is set to air on Lifetime. The 17 year old took to twitter to express how much Aaliyah has been an influence on her career and how she hopes to do the late R&B songstress justice. 106 & Park co host Keisha Chante was also another candidate for the role after she revealed through her social media that she had auditioned for the role. Prior to her job over at BET she has auditioned to play Aaliyah in other projects, but it looks like Zendaya will be taking it this time around.
