Rosie Perez Talks Dating & Smoking With Tupac; Having PTSD Like Chris Brown
Rosie Perez must be the cutest pint size person in the world, and she hits up the Wendy Williams show to discuss her new tell-all-book of, Handbook for an Unpredictable Life: How I Survived Sister Renata and My Crazy Mother, and Still Came Out Smiling (with Great Hair). Rosie sits down with Wendy for a very personal interview where she shares a lot of information about her life and growing up in Brooklyn, dating Tupac, and her beef with Jennifer Lopez.
At the age of 3, Rosie Perez was in and out of foster care and grew up with a lot of anger issues as the ward of the Catholic church. She talks about throwing a chicken wing at Don Cornelius and trying to fight him on Soul Train, where she was a featured vixen dancer. Due to her crazy past of being shuffled from place to place, Rosie Perez was later diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and anger issues. She describes having a tick, a trigger that could set her off, and she also sends a shout-out to Chris Brown asking him to get help now, because she’s had the same diagnosis.
I had a terrible temper because of all the things I went through as a child. I talk about that in the book how I suffered. When I was an adult, not now, from PTSD. Chris Brown he needs to address it, and I say that would love.
My favorite part, of course, are the stories about Tupac. She talks about how an industry guy stood her up for the Soul Train Music Awards, and she called Tupac a close friend crying, and Pac stepped in and to take her to the show. She reveals that they were smoking in the limo and she was stoned out of her mind, and Tupac being the perfect gentlemen held her hand on the red carpet.
Apparently he was trying to get next to Madonna that night, and he ended up leaving with Madonna. Rosie also reveals that Tupac had slept with many of the women there, except for her because:
Rosie: Are we suppose to kiss or something, and he said, “No, because you’re the type of girl someone marries”.
But Madonna on the other hand was the type someone ______.
