Imagine A Future Documentary – BET Exclusive Screening At L.A. Live
Procter & Gamble has teamed up with My Black Is Beautiful in partnership with Black Girls Rock! and The United Negro College Fund, to empower millions of teen girls through an initiative entitled, Imagine A Future. The Imagine A Future initiate will provide scholarships, leadership camps, online interactive tools, plus a documentary series of the same name, Imagine A Future, featuring young teens that are changing the face of beauty through leadership.
During the BET Awards 2013 and The BET Live Experience, select media outlets, including MrsGrapevine.com, were invited to an Exclusive VIP Screening of the documetary. The documentary follows teen Janet Goldsboro as she travels to South Africa to explore the historical and modern context of self-esteem and black beauty. Imagine A Future also explores a broad range of beauty through personal interviews with celebrities like Gabourey Sidibe, Tatyana Ali, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Gabrielle Douglass to name a few.
