Watch This: Kerry Washington’s Inspiring, Frog-Filled Commencement Speech At George Washington University
Graduation season is always a magical time for new graduates. One of the most exciting parts is listening to the commencement addresses. Whether by celebrities or by esteemed alums, it signals the start of life after college. This past Sunday, Kerry Washington returned to her alma matter, George Washington University, to receive a honorary Doctoral degree and to deliver the commencement address to the class of 2013.
Kerry‘s speech is filled with encouragement and pride, but most importantly she talks about a hero’s journey and our part in writing her story. And it just so happens that one of the most important stories of her own journey involve her college musical roll as a frog. Which, Kerry shared, is her father’s favorite role of hers, to date.
