High self esteem! She’s got it! I don’t know what the rest of American thinks but at least Nicki loves what she’s doing on American Idol. US Weekly is reporting that during a recent press conference, Nicki Minaj has said that she’s been a spectacular judge, and doesn’t have any worst Idol moments, but rather every single moment on the show is her best. She also talked about her early fears in the beginning of the whole AI experience.
“I didn’t know what to expect going in to the show. I was so nervous. I had a lot of anxiety. I felt like, ‘Okay, I know everybody’s just going to hate me,’” she recalled. “There were moments in the audition process that I would say to the producers, ‘I can’t do this anymore. If everyone is going to give a good critique and I’m going to be the only one being honest, then America is going to hate me. I’m going to be seen as mean.’ And the producers said, ‘Nicki, trust us, America is going to appreciate the honesty.’ And that’s all I had to go on.”
Nicki doesn’t even watch the show, nor does she advice her mentor Lil Wayne to watch it, so I don’t even know why she was concerned about what America would think of her. But one thing is certain: Nicki has certainly got America talking so whatever she’s doing is working, in some way.
