‘Beasts Of The Southern Wild’ Star Quvenzhané Wallis Reads Acceptance Speech From iPhone
How cute is she!!! Nine year old breakout star Quvenzhané Wallis won a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress last night for her role in the independent movie Beasts Of The Southern Wild, reports The Daily Mail. Showing that she’s a child of the new age, Quvenzhané (pronounced Kwe-ven-zhah-nay, if you’re wondering) read her speech right off of her smartphone.
‘First I would like to thank God for all my blessings,’ said Quvenzhané. ‘I would also like to thank the film critic’s for this award.’
‘Thanks to Mr. Benh Zeitlin and the Court 13 family for thinking I could make a good Hushpuppy.
‘Lastly, to my family, friends and fans—good night!’, she finished to heartfelt applause.
Congratulations to her!! This also fairs well for her, because Quvenzhané is also nominated for an Oscar, one of the youngest stars to EVER get a nomination. We look forward to seeing what happens on February 24th!!
