I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday! Because some news like this can knock the spirit of love and happiness clean right out of you. IndieWire is bring some sad news to us today, in the form of TV wackness. After doing some investigative research after receiving a press release that didn’t say too much, they are reporting that the Oxygen Network has shared that they will be airing a special 1-hour TV special about rapper Shawty Lo and his 10 ‘baby mamas’. YES. Shawty Lo has 10 of them. And 11 kids. And a new girlfriend who is the same age as his oldest child. *FAINTS*
The project will center on the complicated lives of one man, his many women, and their many children.
Further… the series which comes from creative duo Liz Gateley and Tony DiSanto of DiGa Vision…
… will capture the highs and lows of this extreme ‘blended family’ that is anything but ordinary, while also showing the drama and the passion behind life’s most unexpected situations.
In addition, Cori Abraham, Senior Vice President of Development at Oxygen Media, says:
“‘All My Babies’ Mamas’ will be filled with outrageous and authentic over-the-top moments that our young, diverse female audience can tweet and gossip about.”
Soooooo apparently the press release didn’t give all this detail but IndieWire did a bit of searching around and found this video on DailyMotion, which was posted by an account who has the same name as the production company who is working on this special starring unnamed people with Oxygen. SMH You know, from that snippet from the press release, they’re really just wanting to get people tweeting about their network and are willing to bait folks with some grade A f*ckery to do so. I HATE EVERYTHING. Peep the video, if you dare:
