I can really imagine the tense feelings in the room on this one. According to The New York Post, legendary actor Robert DeNiro was really pissed off at Jay-Z while they both attended the birthday party for Leonardo DiCaprio a few nights ago. It seems that Robert called Jay-Z regarding a song he promised to do for the Tribeca Film Festival but Jay-Z never returned his calls. Yikes!

“Bob was sitting at a table, and when Jay-Z went over to say hello, De Niro told Jay that he never called him back,” a source says.
A spy then overheard De Niro complaining to the rapper, a fellow TriBeCa resident, about a song Jay-Z agreed to record for the Tribeca Film Festival. De Niro had reached out to discuss further details, but Jay never returned his calls.
“Bob wasn’t in any mood to make polite conversation,” the spy says. “He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude.”
What’s even worse is that Beyonce was also there and came over to try and defuse the situation. And it didn’t work. Robert remained just as mad. Now when Beyoncé can’t even calm you down you KNOW you’re mad. And if his movie work is any indication, a mad Robert DeNiro isn’t a Robert DeNiro that ANYONE wants to know. Hope they can squash this beef and work together. As fellow Tribeca residents with nearly equal influence, combining their forces would be great for the film festival.

Yeah um not returning a call after that many phone calls is rude. DeNiro is from the old skool were respect was a standard.
