You know, whenever I heard people talking about President Obama in a negative and insulting way, I always think that they don’t understand that because he is the President Of The United States, he should receive your respect. Respect the position, even if you don’t like him as a person. The same goes with judges of the court. And there’s a man who is probably learning that lesson right now in Wichita, Kansas.
The Associated Press happened to be in the courtroom when a man by the name of Mr. Gaines went OFF Samuel L. Jackson style on the judge and prosecuting lawyer during sentencing. From everything from calling the judge a b*tch to threatening violence towards the lawyer, he pretty much sealed the deal on his case. Be warned: Mr. Gaines uses lots of explicit language so turn those speakers down! Get a clear example of what NOT do do while in court, when you continue:
I know celebrities get lots of rumors and claims thrown at them daily. And they have to pick and choose their battles. Once they decide what they are going to address, it’s a matter of HOW to address it. For actress Lark Voorhies, it’s the rumors that she’s dealing with a Bipolar Disorder. Last month, Lark‘s mother talked to People Magazine and said that Lark had been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. But Lark sat down with Entertainment Tonight yesterday and said that it’s untrue.
But this is a time when I think a celeb coming forward doesn’t help the case. During the interview, when Lark is questioned about the statements made by her mother about having Bipolar Disorder she seems to go into what the reporter calls a ‘ramble’. Entertainment Tonight actually posted TWO clips from the interview. One that was aired and the other that wasn’t. By the time I was done watching the clips, it made me feel more certain that her mother just might be right. Check out both clips below and tell me what you think:
These are probably the types of cases that make working with legal documents fun. According to TMZ, Jamie Foxx is being sued by a woman who fell outside of his house. On the sidewalk. By herself.
The victim, Catherine Jones, said she attended a party held by Jamie last year. And while at the party, she fell on the sidewalk and seriously injured herself. Her reasoning? Jamie was negligent in maintaining the sidewalk, thus her fall is all his fault. So how much is she seeking? $10,000. No one from Jamie‘s camp has commented yet but I don’t know about this one. I’m thinking if he held a party…then it was inside his house…and if you fell on the sidewalk…it MIGHT just be your clumsy fault. Especially if no one else reportedly got damaged by this dangerous concrete. I’m just saying.
