I’m a self professed book nerd. Always have been, always will be. I found as much joy as a kid in playing outside with my friends as I did curling up with a brand new book on the couch. So news like this always makes me happy. Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer has made a deal with publishers Simon & Schuester Books for Young Readers to come up with a pair of books specifically for middle schoolers, reports The Associated Press.
The first book is called Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective: The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit and will be coming out sometime this fall. According to Octavia, the book will follow along the lines of Nancy Drew and Encyclopedia Brown books. A bit of mystery and history all in one. This is awesome! All of you parents of preteens, look out for this soon!
