To be honest, I can’t say that I even recalled that he was married in the first place! But low and behold, the legendary Stevie Wonder has filed for divorce from his wife, Kai Morris. According to TMZ, Stevie has been separated from Kai since 2009 and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce.
In the docs, filed by disso-queen Laura Wasser, Wonder asks for joint custody of the couple’s two boys, ages 10 and 7.
In the docs, Wonder agrees to pay both spousal and child support.
Although Wonder amassed his fortune long before he tied the knot with Kai back in 2001, some assets will be split … though the papers indicate the amount has yet to be determined.
I think that with him even agreeing to pay for spousal and child support, that shows that it’s probably a fairly healthy situation between the two. No back and forth drama over money and what not.
