PETA Goes After Rihanna For Fashion Faux Pas

It seems that PETA has people monitoring celebrities just as thoroughly as TMZ.  Can’t go anywhere without while wearing anything that looks animal skin-like without them knowing.  They currently have their eyes on Rihanna, after she was spotted in London rocking some kneehigh snakeskin boots, according to Starpulse.

In a reference to the singer’s recent tearful appearance on Oprah Winfrey‘s talk show, during which she wept as she recalled her doomed romance with R&B star Chris Brown, a PETA spokesman says, “Rihanna may not have a clue that snakes killed for boots are often nailed to a tree and skinned alive. Of course, they can’t go on Oprah to cry about it.”
“Wearing reptile skin is creepy and callous, and it makes her look even more out of touch. She and Lady Gagaseem so desperate to be freaks instead of recognized for their talents that you have to wonder if they realize that they are being laughed at.”

While I gotta admit they have a point with the outlandish fashion comment, I DO think it would still apply if she was wearing any kind of random outfit, animal skin or not.  I actually like the boots, truth be told.  But who knows. Maybe they’re faux snakeskin and PETA is just getting ahead of themselves. What do you think about the look?

  1. PETA needs to chill out. Throwing paint on a dead animal won’t bring it back to life. They are terrorists who are hypocritical in their cause.

    • LOL @ “Throwing paint on a dead animal won’t bring it back to life”…so true, it surely want. I think the idea is to ruin so the celeb want wear it, which is stupid, cause the celeb can afford to buy another one, which means another animal needs to be killed.
